Just made a follow up video on common mistakes made when sliding rails! Check it out: ua-cam.com/video/SZWs2l72QSY/v-deo.html
I’ve always been scared of rails and never committed to doing them until i just did it one day, I’m telling you rails are wayy easier than you think as long as you don’t lean back
Idk why but I'm soooo scared to just do it
I've wanted to for years
I was really scared when I first started hitting them but once you start doing them it doesn’t take long to learn
bro i wasnt scared t first but after leaning back at the first 5 tries i was and never knew why i always fucked up😂
@@milespotter2214 you really just have to send it, like a low to the ground one or smthn, or try pvc they’re way easier
Tried, crushed nuts.
Oof
Oh no
Guess you can’t have kids anymore
Tommy Lynch it still hurts after 2 months
Paulus that’s usually not a good sign
Tommy Lynch because i did it again yesterday
I need this! this season I am mainly focusing on park skiing
Andrew Ziggy same
i've said this the past 2 seasons and i didn't do it. But I'll try it this season lmao
same! this video was super helpful, I was hoping to see one like it this season
Me2
Same I got boxes down it’s just those damn rails
after watching this vid, i went out there tried, did the whole thing no fall. Thank you BOT!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok
WOOHOO!
My main problem is that I just can’t commit, it weird cos I’m not even scared of falling
Ed Scott do some box slides
Me to
Just don't think about doing it and do the thing. If you over think things they become harder. Just kinda do a last minute Imma hit this with no time for you to convince yourself not to.
Ed Scott I feel u man. I got the same thing. I can grind rails but can’t commit to 360s
TG Danka I don’t know how much this will but I used to have trouble with 360s and what really helped was just to keep my head turned so my body would follow (and obviously to wind and spin hard)
Pls include more First Person few
When skiing youself, you won't see yourself in third Person.
But then you will also not maybe see his legs or you won't see what's coming up ahead...
SaiverxTV that’s not what first person is
Wdym, Im always in third person
Hit my first rails this week! (A fatter pipe, but still a rail haha). This tutorial was really helpful. Though, things move really hard on the rail it's hard to consciously balance, pedal etc haha
can slide almost any rail but have a problem sliding opposite foot forward :(
Filip Osvald practice, last season i couldnt slide a rail unnatural for my life, but this season i spent a good amount of time and now im comfortable enough to do front/ back swaps, so just work on it. good luck!
Hey i started watching you a month ago to prepare for this season since im gonna focus on the park love the content and quality of your videos
Ps: already ordered both of your new shirts 😍😍
It was painful watching those two guys crash out on the slip out section over and over again, ptsd kicked in from feeling that pain way too many times
This video helped me so much! Fell my first couple of times then watched this video and completed the longest rail there!
Same clip like 50 times in a row
Katudon 2464 ikr but he does that because he shows you how to do it with the that 90 degree angle also he don’t got many clips
4:05 This can be mentioned. After my thumb injury I noticed that most of the ppl don't use pole straps when in the park to prevent thumb and other injuries
i literally dont use poles, makes my arms more free to adjust my balance without poking myself
Literally broke my thumb because of this
I love your videos and can’t wait for this one to premiere
Thank you! Can't wait to get out in the park and start practicing on tricks!
Great advice, I can't wait to try!
That was a most thorough tutorial! Now I’m gonna watch your most recent video about mistakes to avoid!
Thanks! 👍
Omg thank you so much! I always knew that you would make a other video but I didn’t knew when you would make a other one and I couldn’t find it anywhere because on top of that I didn’t remember your UA-cam nickname. But I wanted so much a good video that was going to explain to me precisely how to hit a rail, well I just wanted a really good video like this one because I couldn’t find any good videos anywhere. But thank god that I finally found you and that you’ve made just the video that I needed, thank you so much! ⛷🔥👌🏼
thank you bro! cant wait to ride park this season
Keep up the good work man thanks for the help with railing❤️
This really helped me. I just got to aspen yesterday and I’m very exited to hit some rails. I don’t get to ski that often because I live in North Carolina and there isn’t as much good mountains there so when I go skiing I always have to watch a lot of how to do trick videos.
Henry Johnson the guy that won x games snowboard knuckle Huck was from North Carolina
Henry Johnson pls go hit the snow in the bowls and chutes too. 😔
I’m good at rails, I usually straddle the rail though to get onto it, and I’m trying to learn to get on from the sides, thanks for the tips
It’s funny because I’m more scared to grind a box rail that a rail
Same🤣
If you a starter it is the easiest for me to just slide on like a barrel or pill. Do the slide for an inch on the rail then work your way to half way and then 3/4 etc
Thanks for the great tips, I love the videos
Great video, as a rollerblader the movement isn't that difficult but getting over that fear of committing has been tough. I've got box slides down, I want to over come the fear and get rails down! My 6 year old just attempted his first rail over the weekend, he did pretty good considering he hasn't learned to pop/ollie yet.
Make a shirt that says “powder hoar”. Or a shirt that says “I like big dumps”
No powdhoar
That’s so funny Jacka gaming I forgot to laugh 😐
No… “powder whore” is better
You explain things incredibly well
sweet sound track at end. I will be charging in Bear this season , w/ some new to me, Volkle Bash skis, SUPER STOKED! I got my pass, doing squats, gunna lay down a PVC practice pipe, just got a used mini tramp, and im 66. Skiing rules. Get Wise. BNW.
Hell ya love to hear it!!! Hope to be shredding myself at your age! Big inspiration 🙌🙌
hey, can you please make a pedaling tutorial? i havnt found any videos that go in depth about it and i am still mad confused on how it works. (preferable on a hand rail)
Louis has been open since the 15th of November, just switched to skiing this year. Already hitting some of the down rails, just wanna day your channel was a big contributor for my switch and I couldn’t be happier, keep grinding!
Love your vids. One thing I think could be helpful is if you added some freeze frames and graphics like when you're describing people's weight distribution. Showing what went wrong with arrows and lines, etc. I think that could improve the usefulness of these vids and add some more production value.
Thank you such that helped a lot I am getting a lot better a rails thanks again
It’s so slippery so I decided to grind a log and it worked xD
the fowards weight was best tip. i went out there and learned iyt
I’m able to do any box sideway. I want to try a rail but I don’t know if I have come from the front or the side of the rail
Great video! I am a very inexperienced skier, but managed to nail this on my first visit to a ski park 💪 thanks so much
How much do you wanna jump when you leave the ramp before entering the rail?
I’m gonna try this today... hopefully
just hit my first rail
beyond hyped man
I have downhill skis (curved on 1 side) next season I’m renting curved on both but my first try I fell sideways and merely avoided a head bonk. The next try I did it but randomly fell after almost landing it. Then I got it.
I tried rails once but on a cylinder, I leaned back and smashed on my ribs, i hope next season I'l try on a box at first and gain that confidence.
Hey would you suggest using a chest mount or helmet mount for a gopro
Big up. I’m 33 and finally getting into park. Wish me luck
I always hit rails but having one ski on either side and then jumping 90 degrees, is this easier or harder then having both skis on the right or left side and then jumping on.
Did this sculls days ago and surprisingly I did it in a couple tries
This helped me a lot when I started to practice this and now I can do rails good :)

@@lehtipihvi2369 👍
Hey quick question. Is it able to do on regular skis? Or it must by freestyles one ?
Does it help if you can already do this with aggressive inline skates?
I tried today… slipped out and smashed my hip 🤕 I’m going to try tomorrow though, wish me luck
Will try it Tomorrow, hope i don't hurt that much
can I do this with non twins skis ? I have parrabolic atomic skis
How’s the shirt biz going? Genuine question. I have the same press with a cameo 3 and siser vinyl and me and the boys make shirts. May make a brand. Are sales good?
What is my ideal ski lengt? I’m 1,88 ( 6ft2 ) and I am just gonna hit the park all day
At the moment I can only rail pipes but hopefully by the end of the season I'll be railing everything
Been doing the park for Yeats and year 5 I want to do rails
Tried but hit my head on the rail but I was wearing a helmet so I was fine
I’m a snowboarder I was interested on how skiers do rails but who has it worse falling on rails
Ive tried this so many times but i never make it to the end either i hop off at the start or if i try to go longer ilma fall down
What skis do you have
Where are you skiing? Like what resort
Great video explanation of rails! However I can do narrow boxes and 180 out, but I still have a hard time just doing a 90 out forward. Some explanation on how hard to send your spin would be nice, because I feel like now I send to hard and have a hard time stopping and just go out with then 180
I've got the same problem lol I'll let you know if I figure it out this season!
@@h31212 Hey man I've been out a couple times this season and I think I nailed it at the end of this season, trick was to not send to hard just shifty it and make sure you pop coming to the end so you can counter rotate your shifty back to forward. Hope it helps!
@@TheDowner911 Yeah I've suspected that was the solution but my exit pop often ends up in disaster because of my messed up weight distribution. I'm glad you managed to do it!
@@h31212 you’ll get it man! Good luck out there and stay safe!
thx dude for doing this cause ,y friends bullied me because i didnt know how to do it at all
Been trying to hit a 10 footer that is like 5" round this season on skis, never hit boxes before...so. I think you can imagine lol
i have been skiing for 11yrs iand i can grind rails so easy idk why im watching this but love ur vids
Ethan Fenn dont care
You deserve a sub
Cant wait to go try and fall so hard 😆
Love peek n peak!
where can u get the necklace that was in the intro from?
What mountain do you usually ski at
Is it ok if my skis are not park skis? My skis are more all mountain type skis.
What skis do you have?
What skis are those?
I can’t ride box because I always like stop so I always fall backwards
Would had needed this video a week ago 😂 i just decided to learn to rail and went for it, knewing ofc i was going to slip and i did, many times over maybe 5 times, then i did the most un-clean rail ever seen by mankind, kinda got of it with one skii before the other and then the other one over the first one BUT I managed to save it and was still standing up 😂 next run I was like fuck I’ll just bring enough speed to jump the whole tube maybe 4 meters, but still try to keep contact with the tube because I thought then most of my wheigt is going forward and not down on the skiis/rail, and sure enough, I landed a SUPER clean pretty fast rail. My brother was behind he said it looked super relaxed and clean like the other “pros” in the park. I was so shocked myself when I got of the rail that I was still standing up and I even felt how clean it was. I got soo hyped even though I knew it was probably mostly luck I had to do it again, fell so hard and got the corner of the tube JUST left of my back plate 🤣 so I switched to my all mountains (92mm) instead and went for some off post powder jumps instead. No better feeling than landing from a 2 second air time in steep powder 😍
Ready to go back on my long twin tips after seeing this! Thank you 🫶
what resort do you ski at
I have a stragne problem with my stoppers if i put my skis to cles together the 2 stoppers of the skis hook onto eachother and i cant get them appart in the first moment. While this isn’t a problem when standing it is quit stupid to happen while driving. Anyone have a solution?
I don’t have twin tips but I can do rails the park I go to has very bad rails
What kinds or rails would you suggest doing first? Like thick rails or skinny rails? 🤔
thick fs
what mountain do you go to?
Are those 2016 line chronics?!
I don’t know why I’m watching this I already know how to do all this but the way I learned was just trying it like a thousand times
I did the trick first try! I'm trying the 360 vid next.
Last year I tried to hit a tiny rail and ate it because I leaned to far back lol😂
I finally got it
We have the same skis
Ya I'm watching this cause yesterday I tried to hit a rail and now I have a concussion
Aye shoutout Northstar
I split a poop tube yesterday and GOD DAMN did that hurt
low key sturdy
where is this
We’re do you ski
Wich helmet do u wear? :))
What side do I go on
I have been trying forever but i keep on just sliding off of it halfway through
Box same thing or no
What resort is this?
Excellent tips! Thanks for sharing them! (A pity the music is so repetitive.)
When I do them I don't go from the side
