That could be it. I thought I was far enough forward to reach almost the whole battlefield, but I never actually measured it (is there even a way to do so without counting each square one-by-one?). Sadly the next 5-7 turns already happened, so I'll be blaming casting AI until then 😅
I think not changing that script that wasn't working was a pretty bad move, it probably encouraged Formoria to take an agressive stance against you althought they may have already made up their mind what with their expansion and bless. You could just test scripts in single player to find something that works, shouldnt take long.
Probably the sulphur haze only has a range of 30 and it was too far?

@@blueyedjay1 You might also want to set them to Advance and Cast not just Cast. Flying Troops can also be set to attack rear
The bonus to AoE & damage from higher magic path is only for the first path (fire for Sulphur haze)
Yeah, I think it's a range thing as well.
MAGIC MISSLE 🔥
Yeah think it was bad luck + iron vunerability that killed him

1 province by turn 6!
Impressive expansion speed. Don't think I ever seen one like it before.
Having advance and cast at the end of your script will help you get in range 👍
Diplo play with invisible domain nations can crit succeed because no one knows how large you are :P that can also work against you in mid game...
I'm not sure that even in range the caster will target Fres enemy troops
I think it was casting warrior illusion and summoning the hawks is what won you that battle tbh. It distracted a lot of the Unmarked
Dormant pretenders wake up around turn 12, sometimes 13-15
