I'm glad to be the 45th subscriber of this channel, I really appreciate the simple color scheme of your hive storm terrain and the tips. Warm regards from Switzerland.
This was a good video to watch. Very confidence boosting. One thing I saw in another video that resonated with me was to make sure your doors were "bright and obvious" in this terrain because they can be "opened" and fought through. Thanks!
Glad to be the 53th suscriber of this channel, it's really good and the videos are high quality for such a new channel, so keep it up !! It's a great video and really useful tips for beginner. Regards from Spain.
Every time I get close to finishing my pile of shame, GW releases something irresponsible! I’m a terrain freak so I’m rushing to get some bastions, wall of martyrs, 9th edition command terrain done, and some armies banged out by Christmas. Hopefully then I’ll scoop up some of this beautiful Volkus terrain and work away. Love your approach, would love to see your process especially since it took you only a week!
Depending on how long you’ve been in the hobby, you might already have it.. I did notice something while I was painting. i was pretty sure I had seen this terrain before and I decided to go down the rabbit hole of searching. And then I found it. It used to be called Battlezone: Manufactorum - Sub-cloister and Storage Fane kit. It might not be every piece in the kit but it’s definitely the main bulk of it. I probably won’t be doing much more to that set but I have the Battlezone Mechanicus Charadon set that I plan on finishing up too. Be on the lookout for that video coming up as well!
Looks great. Thanks for sharing this with us. Tips are spot on. Camera & editing great. You are doing a great job. Keep up the awesome work. Waiting for the next one.
Yes! Nice job! What colors did you end up using for the vantage floors? I went with a desaturated blue but I think that darker rusty red you did would look way better for my own pieces
The rust orange goes well with the red windows and gives it alot of contrast to the white walls. The exact recipe is: Pro Acryl Dark Silver GW Gryph-hound orange contrast Dry brush of ProAcryl Burnt orange and then a stippling of the orange mixed with Pale Yellow to brighten it up even further I didnt pick out the details of the beams or anything though I am sure i could go back and do so but like I mentioned in the video, it's terrain and I'd rather get games in than worry to much about how "accurate" its painted
That’s a genius idea! I think I’m going to have to let her try that and make a mess! 😄 I don’t plan on putting her in videos but that would be a good one!
Great job on the terrain! I love how obtainable and straight forward you made it all for those who aren't "painting pros". Keep up the great work!
Thank you!

what is that SUPERB bronze ish with which you painted the metal outer parts ??
It’s Bronze by ProAcryl! That’s it! It’s one of my favorite paints!
@@Painters_Mess gotta place an order ASAP, heard that DECAYED METAL is also pretty fabulous
“Once my daughter is asleep” 😂 fastest way to get my terrain painted is getting my 2yo and 3.5yo boys to do it ! 😅

Wow you look bored in the thumbnail.
Best comment so far! 😂 thanks for the feedback!
