I flew a real Cessna 172 out and in of Courchevel with my brother years ago. Needed a safety pilot as there is no such thing as a go around. After throttling back you apply a little power again because of the runway incline. Our flight that day took us into Italian airspace up to Mt Blanc and back. TAS was 0. There was a lot more snow about. That small building to top right of the runway is the bar, which used after shutdown
In reference to the Citation II: The sound going off is the ELT which is designed to go off after detecting a 5G impact with the terrain. The speed brakes are solely a toggle switch (extend/retract) there’s no arm function like the auto spoilers on larger business jets.
Hi Jeff. I have a challenge for you! Wellington airport, New Zealand is well known for it's very strong winds. Domestic and international flight come and go all day flying sideways with strong cross winds. You get ATRs, Dash 8s, A320, A321, 737 and 777-200. Hercules and globemaster aircraft also fly into there. The largest aircraft to fly in and out was a 777-300. It landed empty and took off loaded I believe. It is a notoriously short and windy runway. I'd love to see you give it a go with some strong winds.
You're one of the few UA-camrs that I always check for uploads everyday, no matter what you post. Thanks for all the awesome content, Jeff, I've been watching since I was a Freshman in high school and now I'm a Junior in high school.
Jeff, try this challenge again, but next time come in high, with full flaps, power off, and use your spoilers for speed control. Set them main dogs down, right on the piano keys, and keep the nose up for as long as you can on the roll out, and even after the nose drops with the decreasing speed. Fully activate your reverse thrusters right at the moment of touch down, and deploy your spoilers immediately, this all has to be done at the same time. The point of keeping back pressure on the yoke during the roll out, is to use the elevators as additional wind resistance measures to help slow the airplane down. With everything deployed, and activated, along with full brakes, and elevator resistance, you should be ok, regardless of the plane.
Next stop; Lukla in Nepal. I've flown into there from Kathmandu on my way to Everest 25 years ago. Now...I flew in the Navy for a decade so short fields were "my jam"...but the "no go around" thing didn't sit well. Coming back to the boat at night was stressful but honestly I was puckered more partly because I wasn't flying and because it's either land and stop...or land and splat. Right into a wall which said "Welcome to Lukla"!lol! Take off when I left was pretty cool though!
Love this series, love the channel, and thank you Jeff for all that you do, it’s not easy but you make it look easy lol quality content man keep’em comin please and thx
Jeeeeff ! Love your vids. Possible to implement something like a red blinking marker on screen from time to time to show where you are headed ? Yes I’m a total noob and that would make it much easier to see what you’re aiming for from far away. Yes, you can laugh at my comment ! Hahaha
I fly the citation 2 for my job. 65% N1 will be a good power setting for final. Ref speed between 97 and 104 depending on weight. Also, we have to manually deploy speed brakes. Cant arm them to automatically deploy on touchdown like boeings or airbus can. Its the switch just below the power levers on the captain side.
Fly at Capitol City Airport, that's my local airport. It was made in the 30's. It used to be Harrisburg airport, but then they made Harrisburg internation airport across the river. The airport is used for GA and business jets. I was able to take off an a321 without flaps... But that was fsx...
Try landing on Monument Valley, Utah, USA (UT25) rw34. There are two ways to try: #1. low and slow with a 180 degree turn, or #2 (my prefered way) over the mesa and slam it down. :)
I'd like to see a winter landing at Queenstown Airport (ZQN), where the surrounding terrain, and low visibility, make it challenging. Also the good ole classic tough airport, Tenzing-Hillary Airport (LUA), another side of mountain approach at 2473m.
Toncotin in Tegucigalpa with some (VFR) weather would be a good one. I used to fly that one in FSX back when I had a PC capable of running a flight sim.
Check out Mountain Air in NC. Its a country club/golf course on top of a mountain that's accessible only by its airport. There's some scenery too. Sure to give some difficult landings.
Great flying Jeff! That Ryanair stop - just wow! Is the music on the replays a new thing though? It seems a little unnesessary and detracts a bit from the cool external sounds
Wow Jeff, I’m sure All of us got a Hoot out of Viewing These fun Attempts by One of our Favorite Flight Simmers !!!👍👍🤪😂😎 ps: This proves You Absolutely are Endowed with 9 Lives...lol...Maybe More ??☺️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️👍👍 Thankyou for this FUN “Airshow” !!!😊
Try flying large plains into the Wellsboro Johnson Airport (Formally Known As: Pennsylvania Grand Canyon Airport) in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania - Airport code: N38 - Runway length: 3,597 feet and 60 feet wide - Elevation: 1, 891 feet.

Jeff: Literally INCHES from death in a 737
Jeff: Let’s go for a 777 😂😂😂
christian Perez I’m the 100th like!
Its a simulator. Its not real death.
EdgemanLL2 it’s a joke not real. 🤨
christian Perez fuck you
😂😂
I like how the cabin crew did not care that the plane crashed
plane
DB SPIKES everyday Ryanair I guess
Some of these landings weren’t that hard actually, making a hard landing is safer than a smooth landing.
She works for Ryanair, I thing she already expected this
@@brandonlucas4338 Umm ok?
10:54 757 tried to fly again but without the engines LMAOO
Flappy bird!!!
Im fuckin dead
Lucy Sadiablo me too
5:46, standard Ryanair landing
Exiacly
Ohhhhh so true!!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Looks as if it was already filmed
Breh the spoilers came to late
Why do people think that Ryanair land any different than any other airline? It makes no sense at all.
I love these landing challenges! Please do more of them.
3:34 that flight attendant gave zero shits about that landing 😂😂

Every plane can turn into a bird...
-swiss001
The 757 looked like a bird trying to flap its wings and fly away. 😂

Me: can’t even file a flight plan properly
Hi Jeff
Like the landing challenges
Please do more of these!! They are so entertaining and fun to watch!!
10:54
*Wings flappin like a bird*
Understanding the Ryanair thought process, hard landing, let’s just leave it there
It’s always nice sitting down and eating popcorn while watching your videos. Very entertaining keep up the good work!
Loving these landing challenges! Keep em coming! I need them while I'm in the hospital for back surgery!
You're one of the few UA-camrs that I always check for uploads everyday, no matter what you post. Thanks for all the awesome content, Jeff, I've been watching since I was a Freshman in high school and now I'm a Junior in high school.
Thank you Mason!
*Next season on; ''Jeff does insane stuff on Flight simulators'', Jeff tries to land planes in the Grand Canyon river bed...*
7:59 expert flying. Amazing safe jeff
Hey jeff love ur vids bro keep up the good work
Jeff, you're like no Otter. Going to get the crew back together to do the new Casino Heist that's out (I think) for GTA ? It'd be fun !
4:39 is just the norm for Ryanair landings
Make a 3rd one like this featuring Lukla Airport!.
Hey Jeff, you should do a land challenge at old Kai Tak in X-plane 11.
Yea. VHHX is a must
Nathan Tidwell não
You had the luck of the Irish on your side for that second Ryanair landing Jeff!
7:30 i'm crying lol Jeff keep up the good work!

Tried this and I can say, this has been the toughest runway to land bigger jets on!
Passengers be like: Good luck, we are all counting on you LOL
Three words: 757:
Hardest. Landing. Ever.
Next one: Catalina Island or Lukla
Raise Da Hell I suggested Catalina on the St. Barts video. I also really want him to do that.
11:58 I’ve never heard call outs that fast in my life
You greased that 2nd landing in the 737, nice job. I would love to see an attempt in a C-17 at this same spot.
Something I expect Swiss001 to do😂😂👍
at first i thought it's his Video 😂👍
He already did
He's kinda irritating now
@@Gamerboy-gy1rl 😂
Re 747 landing: So you're telling me there's a chance
Try using the parking brakes as well! I can land anywhere with those.
Love this series, love the channel, and thank you Jeff for all that you do, it’s not easy but you make it look easy lol quality content man keep’em comin please and thx

Hey Jeff you should try this with Tenzing-Hillary Airport
I fly the citation 2 for my job. 65% N1 will be a good power setting for final. Ref speed between 97 and 104 depending on weight. Also, we have to manually deploy speed brakes. Cant arm them to automatically deploy on touchdown like boeings or airbus can. Its the switch just below the power levers on the captain side.
The cabin crew announcing not to unfasten your seatbelt until the plane comes to a complete stop. Passangers: takes off seatbelt
This series is so interesting to watch. Really enjoy seeing the different airports
Fly at Capitol City Airport, that's my local airport. It was made in the 30's. It used to be Harrisburg airport, but then they made Harrisburg internation airport across the river. The airport is used for GA and business jets. I was able to take off an a321 without flaps... But that was fsx...
I think I spelled Capital wrong, the ICAO is KCXY
Yes my my new favorite series keep it up Jeff
lol the flight attendent was so chill through out the crash
I held my breathe the whole time for the second attempt at the beginning!
Dutch Harbor, AK at 500 overcast and 3 miles vis with 30 knot gusts. It's a handful.
Or maybe Saba.
Try landing on Monument Valley, Utah, USA (UT25) rw34. There are two ways to try: #1. low and slow with a 180 degree turn, or #2 (my prefered way) over the mesa and slam it down. :)

Man so glad you did another one! Hay about that airport in Tegucigalpa Honduras? They say it's crazy
*Starts stalling in the 777* Jeff: *Adds power and pitches up before gaining airspeed*
Toncotin in Tegucigalpa with some (VFR) weather would be a good one. I used to fly that one in FSX back when I had a PC capable of running a flight sim.

This is a swiss001 video but with skill
Dutch Harbor, Alaska. It's absolutely wild watching aircraft fly in and out of there.
Nice video, Jeff! I always love these challenge videos!
10:58 jet 2 Turing into a spring device
I love these types of videos
The smoothest Ryanair landings ever
Btw, that alarm should sound familiar to you Jeff in the Cessna citation. That is the sound of an ELT which was activated due to the hard landing.
Love the vids keep it up how are you and how was your day Jeff
It's like every Ryanair landing I've seen IRL. This really IS a simulator!
I guess you don't fly much...
Are you planning on getting Microsoft Flight Sim here in 2020?
It's Shivers He is, thats why he's doing the FS2020 Release video walk-throughs
Love the thumbnail, love your vids Jeff, keep up the good work.
Thx for choosing Ryan Air for all of our flights to this awesome airport.
Hey jeff have you ever heard about the Boeing 777X.
LOL.. It's funny to hear the cabin announcement with the 737 right after touchdown as if it was a normal landing...
That's really a Ryan Air landing for ya.
Great flying Jeff! That Ryanair stop - just wow! Is the music on the replays a new thing though? It seems a little unnesessary and detracts a bit from the cool external sounds
Lol the window view while the flight attendant made the announcements lol
Love that you got us a Ryan Air livery lol thank you Jeff
YESSSSSS! I love the landing challenges! 👌
Love this series! Another great video, Jeff. 👍
I love this video great job Jeff
Xplane and ATS back to back! Nice.

Love the videos, have you thought about doing some older aircraft? Concorde?
12:45 that plane is chill. 420 flare it.
Love these videos
Normal Ryanair landings 😂
Lukla or Paro next!
somehow that first landing was still better than Ryanair's normal landings
I'd love to see a 727 approach on these Landing Challenge videos

I liked how he used Ryan air
