i'm actually from peninsula but i come to sarawak for my degree and here i have lots of sabahan and sarawakian friends, even my lepak2 geng are sabahan and a few from peninsula. when i was here, one of my family members asked me, "kat sarawak kan, diorang tinggal atas pokok ke?" and i was like W.H.A.T??? please laah people, even if you never jejakkan kakimu ke tanah borneo, there's television, internet that you can look up! apalaah bercakap nda pakaii utaakk. bikin panass syaak! so, i'm glad that there's someone brave enough to stand up and break all their judgement. i can only help to explain those who still don't know what it looks like to be in sabah and sarawak.

OMG! This always happens when me & my friends go for competitions in Peninsular Malaysia. Once, some Melaka students asked us "Did you guys use a hot air balloon or a sampan?" and my favourite one is "Oh! You can speak very fluent English." They say we are not updated states and yet, they themselves have not updated their mindset.

im indonesian and i can completely relate to this. I grew up in borneo small toen called berau in east borneo. when i graduated my high school i continued my study in jakarta. and then for the very first time in my life i felt like a foreigner in my own country, well..like a person coming out from isolated jungle to be precise😔. that's how everybody assumes when i tell them i come from borneo. i thought it only happened in indonesia...
Every Borneon can relate whether you're malaysian or Indonesian. Its because we share the same cultural and of course Dayaks.
Tenang2 beberapa tahun lagi borneo jadi ibu kota, banggalah.

I like what you're doing. I've been to Malaysia many times and I like this country. I liked the village. There I saw the order and well maintained buildings. I think that your style of "angry citizen" is very interesting right now. But I think that if you are a good observer that it will be interesting to watch how you talk about other countries from the perspective of Malaysians.

While it's true there are SOME people who are still living the asli life (respect to them), we are ALSO maju in many areas - and tell you what, I appreciate the development alongside the greenery, and that we still retain our traditional skills while we follow the developmental flow. i) not all sarawakians are iban and all sabahans kadazan.
ii) or u wanna introduce some common words used in sabah and sarawak that are not used in peninsular
iii) a bit off track but also to clarify peninsular is not kl, kl is just a small dot in peninsular. always hear people saying kl to represent all the states in peninsular, not everybody just some

Thr was one time I met up w a Sabahan friend in KL, lpas tu berabis la knun kmi bckp Sabahan Malay slang kan bercerita tida ingat dunia.. Tiba2 kwn sy punya kwn (yg urg semenanjung) tya.. "Eh, korg tengah gaduh ke ape ni? Dari tadi lain macam je, tak baik macam ni bro" Padahal kami eksaiteddddd bahhh!! Hahahaha Then kmi p makan, masa mo order tu sy pusing dan tanya straight to the semenanjungs, "Eh, nak order ape eh? Nasi kerabu kat sini agak2 sedap ke tak eh?" Astagaaa mata diorg terbeliak mo tkluar tu biji mata hahah buli2 yg satu mo bisik sma kwn sy.. "Eh bro, your friend pandai cakap melayu rupenye, fluent lak tu"

I nak practical dkt sabah pla. Akak ni suka travel2,nak experience. Kat sabah kan naik sampan semua. mesti best travel2 dekat hutan tu.
