2:05 - You can boot into a virtual hard drive (VHD file). You can install tiny 10 (or 11) into a VHD, then dual boot. Its a bit like dual booting, but less destructive. There is a program called virtual BCD Edit which edits the boot file Win 10 uses (as the main HDD is still booted from). This is a great way to load multiple operating systems easily - Windows Server, different copy of Win 10 for trying out programs, etc. They're all independent and don't hurt each other. Cool feature.

You shouldn't have any problems of that nature whatsoever. I've been stripping stock Windows for a long while now using various methods, and doing these sorts of alterations doesn't affect how Windows actually runs your software...other than speeding it up. I've never had a problem anyway. Have fun!
I'm confused. Does doing this clean your computer, at the end you said you should do a backup before doing this. I thought installing and booting from a separate boot drive would have allowed you to keep all your files as is. And that booting with Tiny10 would use a partition of your drive maybe? I'm not that tech savy so I don't know. I was hoping I could keep everyhing as is, and then test out Tiny10 and begin working off of it if it was faster, and then I'd have to upload some key software I use. I have a gaming pc with windows 10 currently installed. Will i gain anything by installing a "lighter" version of windows 10? Apart from games i just browse the net through firefox and play music through spotify. I don`t use or need that many features in my windows.
Will this also work with my HP desktop. It has Windows 7 now. Google Backup and Sync no longer works on it. It tells me I have to upgrade my windows version. This old computer is so slow that it is nearly impossible to use it, but it has Print Shop 23, which I need for my work. I don't want to lose Print Shop. Will installing tiny 10 delete my Print Shop?

Do the Tiny 10/11 versions require a licence key? If yes can I reuse an old Windows key? Also, does the 11 version run on non compatible hardware that the full version requires?
I have an education key and it worked without any issue.
If my computer's hardware can handle it, can I load a music editing software program to run on these operating systems, specifically, BandLab?
I have a gaming pc with windows 10 currently installed. Will i gain anything by installing a "lighter" version of windows 10? Apart from games i just browse the net through firefox and play music through spotify. I don`t use or need that many features in my windows.
Will Security Updates still be available on Tiny 11?
Probably not, right?
Security updates yes!
@@LironSegev Oh, that's surprising. I might try this for my Laptop.
So the device doesn't need to be UEFI compatable to get win11? Also will the standard win11 auto updates still be compatable 🤔
Liron your a genius,my "old" lap tops are or were gathering dust now they are working, although I am not sure what they will be working on, but they work and were ready for the basement scrap heap. So rescued laptops that the grandchildren can happily wreck and no extra cost unlike others who promised and delivered like ex-boyfriends a million year ago.
Loving your work Liron your making me look "tech savvy". Best wishes from a positively warm but gloomy London for now.
You can actually install your browser through cmd, instead of reinstalling edge again just to download a browser
would Firefox be a better choice for a browser?
Wish I could give you two thumbs up. But can y u comment on what "faster" really means here? I have an i7 processor running regular Windows 10. How would an older laptop running TINY compare in speed to my current regular Windows install?
Liron, great video! Are Tiny 10 or 11 64 bit operating systems and do they support the use of multiple monitors? Thanks.
Confirmed at least 11 does.
I wonder if this will work on the tablet that I won from Chris Pirillo in 2014?
If it's a Windows tablet it should work fine unless it's like the Chuwi iWork10(?) I got several years ago. It's got a weird chipset that allows no alterations whatsoever. If it's Android or Apple, no.
I thought one of the problems with Tiny's was security updates. Is that NOT a problem?
So far I'm at 80% I installed this on a old HP Stream 7 a windows tablet with 1 gig ram and 32gig drive - so a perfect candidate for Tiny anything. After several attempts I got tiny 10 installed fine and is working well.
The only issues it Windows will not activate. Anyone have any suggestions to fix that?
Just a quick update - I have gone back to the the regular install because of the activation issue. First I tried to do an upgrade and install Tiny 7 over regular Windows to see if Tiny would stay activated - no go. Then I didn't know my windows key so I extracted it from the fresh install. (There is no sticker code on the tiny 7 tablet)
Then one more try with the extracted key and a fresh install and still no go
I own legit windows came with the machine, but could not get this to activate so I am back to square one.
If anyone has any other suggestions I'd be happy to try them
Then I went
I read that Windows update do not occur I understand that but what about security updates?
Does the new Tiny11 installation overwrite the earlier full version OS? Or is the full version left intact to boot into as and when needed?
Thanks for this. Is there a way to register Tiny 11 w/ Microsoft and or another way to eliminate the "Activate Windows" water mark?
There's a few ways listed if you do a google search on how to remove the watermark. See if any of them work on the Tiny OS
Excellent option for virtual machines.
What!? Win11 on old system? I'll be watching this a few times before trying it. Any other tips or Do Not Forgets before installing?
B4 or b2 version preferred?
Thank you Liron
Can you run external audio interfaces?
What happens with updates to Win 11? Will Tiny11 be compatible with these updates?
Installing Window's Feature Updates may very well revert this build back to a full Windows install with all the bloatware you don't want. Just stick to the security updates.
I have the latest updates running and it didn't bring back onedrive, teams or anything else. Security updates are downloading with no problem too. So far so good BUT there may be issues with future updates. This isn't a bulletproof solution.
@@LironSegev This build is probably based on 22H2 I wonder what happens when 23H2 rolls out. Those feature updates are the ones that usually screw up specially configured machines.
I will try this on my 17-yr old Toshiba laptop, currently running XP.
What kind of partition style did you use?
Once Edge Browser Is Installed To Install Chrome, Can The Edge Browser Be Uninstalled Again?
Interested in installing on my present 8 year old Windows 10 machine but I havent seen any info on Upgrading only Fresh Installs. Has anyone upgraded from a previous version successfully?
I am stuck on choose an operating system or change defaults. Nothing else shows. I took a screenshot. How do I post it?
windows update broken ?
Hi Liron. I can't get the audio working on this video. Always appreciate your videos. Please, keep them coming. Cheers.
seems fine for everyone else so I don't know?
Old pc said that it could not run usb startup unless I went through some changes. Uefi or something similar
I destroyed my old pc win 8 doing this. The error I can’t fix . How do I show the error screen here
