Tongariro River and the Evening Rise

Connor and AB hit the World Famous Tongariro River on the Central Plateau of New Zealands North Island for a run at the Evening Rise which has been at another level of outstanding this year.
Dry Fly, Wee Wets and Big Streamers all have their place as the light starts to fade and AB works a leader system he has been toying with to cover all 3 techniques with minimal changes.

Very cool. Never saw any prolific hatches in my month in NZ a couple years ago. And those are some ginormous may flies!

Was more about Technique for people coming to fish the evening session on the Tongaririo but lots ofour other work has fish in it. MIght add them next time.
