idc what anyone says, women are the toughest and are so incredibly brave. thank you for sharing your experience, ash. im glad you made it through the thick of it 😮💨💖
I swear Everytime I'm going through something I feel like I'm so alone and then you come out of nowhere and it's like you pluck the thoughts out of my brain. I appreciate you so much.
Chronic illness is a bitch. I want kids so bad, but I'm so scared because of all my illnesses and injuries. Thank you for this video❤
I’m glad you mentioned the dreams because I’ve been having sinister dreams and there so vivid I’m actually relived i wake up 😩
I am so excited to hear baby’s name! I know it’s gonna be BOMB!
Thank you so much for this video… I’m in my first trimester and dealing with soooo many of the same things & you have no idea how much this calmed me hearing someone talk about it like this!
You are incredible! It’s insane how all of those things were happening within the first weeks, what a test of strength! So excited to watch your journey! You’re gonna be an amazing mom 💓✨🧸
I'm the same exact way about vomiting.. i won't and will not throw up no matter how nauseous i get. i feel your pain girl! you look so beautiful and glowy!!! 💕💞
My favorite part of my day. Love your videos.
I’m so happy for you ash! Fun tip since I’m in a similar boat as you (awful food aversion because of chronic illness) Chipotle released their official recipe for the vinaigrette
6 tablespoons red wine vinegar
3 tablespoons honey
¾ cup vegetable oil
½ teaspoon dried oregano
1½ teaspoons salt
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
2 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
2 small garlic cloves, roughly chopped.
All in the food processor or blender.
Literally the only way I can eat food some days. It hold for like 5 days in the fridge.
yessss i used to make it at home! i need to start again
i had that same thought today actually. if i have a kid i dont want them to ever see me anxious, but its who i am. 😢
Thank you for sharing so selflessly, you’re an angel ❤️❤️❤️
It will all be fine, wishing you and your family the best luck ever ✨
Ashley thank you so much for making this video, i also take meds for anxiety and depression and I’ve thought about how i could ever become a mother in the future. I’ve literally had all the same fears and thoughts as you. Thank you for talking about this!!!
You’re so real for this 😢 everything is so accurate for my first trimester
This is so relatable! I'm 26w3d. The anxiety is sooo real. I went to an ultrasound boutique three times in the first trimester because of how anxious I was- I just needed to hear his heartbeat. I've also known since 3w4d which meant more time being anxious. And at one point I experienced light bleeding and watched your video about your loss in preparation. Needless to say, I was super excited when I saw you post about your rainbow!! The second trimester has been so much better. And feeling him move has been the biggest game changer for my mental health. So excited to see your journey too!!! 💕💕
You reached new levels with Jas inviting him into the bathroom 😂 I'm honestly so glad you are pregnant ❤
Everything you just said that how I was feeling in my pregnancy last year the anxiety was so bad I would cry because I wanted to feel normal and okay and nothing was okay I was so sick couldn’t eat but I was also starving nothing sounded good all these aches and pains. I feel you.
Based on symptoms, my money is on boy 💙 I had a son in February - hang in there, it’s the most amazing ride!
Just wanted to say congratulations again!!! I’m so happy for you both 🥺💖💖
My first trimester felt like it lasted a lifetime because of how sick I was. Constant throwing up to the point I lost so much weight. My face was super thin and my arms were skinny.. after about 17 weeks I finally could keep food and water down, but started getting back aches and constipation from prenatals and having to take iron 😅 But all of that was way better than throwing up. I remember crying at the grocery store because I just wanted to eat.
I’m so happy for you and glad you are feeling better!! ✨🥺
I was obsessed with fizzy water through pregnancy and I was paranoid and awful. Remember its all temporary and get lots of rest 💜🦋 I would love a vid with jayce and his reaction to it all. x
I’m so happy that you’re through the first trimester! I’m so happy that you’re feeling better and can’t wait to see you become a mom ❤️
Bless your heart.
YOURE A ROCKSTAR.
Once you see that little face… you won’t remember any of this. It’s crazy! 😂❤❤
Sending you love.
The first trimester is gnarlyyy 🫠 I was nauseous from week 6 until week 11 but only threw up once! The throwing up wasn’t bad for me, it was the constant nausea like you’re hungover _all the time_ that got me. All I could stomach was: dill pickles dipped in hummus, COLD crispy fruit and veg like peppers, cucumber, tomatoes, apples etc, I absolutely despised coffee which was devastating, I could stomach brothy soups like matzo ball soup, also ritz crackers were great! Had them on my nightstand to snack on in the mornings before work to avoid the nausea.
I also woke up around 3-3:30 every night and I still do! I think this is just how it is now 😂 I’m in week 15 now and it feels surreal to have lived through the first trimester. It’s an amazing, terrifying journey this whole pregnancy thing ❤️
Oh hun... I felt for you the entire time. I'm beyond having babies (my son will be 21 on the 30th and my daughter 17 on the 26th) but I remember so much of this when I was pregnant and not having anyone to really talk to besides my then sister in law who had her first in Oct 2001 and I had my first in Dec 2002. I had my miscarriage in 2001 and ended up having a D&C on Christmas Eve 2001. So December is def a weird time of year for me. Good and bad memories. At any rate, I'm glad you got through it and do not ever feel ashamed for what you gotta do to get through. I was on bedrest with my daughter for 5 months (I had incompetent cervix due to cervical LEEP surgery in 2004) and I would've given my arm to have had an online group to talk to. They were available but I still hadn't accepted being online. I didn't even sign up for Facebook until 2007, lol. So it was tough but ya get through it and come out the other side. I can't believe my "babies" well be 21 and 17 in just a couple weeks. It has truly flown by. I hope the rest of your pregnancy is boring and your delivery easy. Don't even start worrying about that yet. Take your classes if you want but my biggest suggestion is not to go into delivery expecting anything. It's hard not to dream of this blissful, easy vaginal delivery and I hope that's the case for you but we know how those expectations can be sometimes. Having a doctor you trust and a good support system will help you through it all. ❤
The first trimester is no joke! I have two kids and both pregnancies were horrible! I was soo jealous of people with “easy pregnancies” because that was just not the case at all for me.
It’ll be over before you know it and that sweet babe will be here! You’re so strong!
I have vaso-vagal episodes too! Usually when I have to get blood drawn or get a shot - it is SUCH a pain in the ass having to find a designated driver to go get my covid or flu shots or because my Dr wants to draw blood. I feel you on how much that sucks and I hope you are feeling better!! 💖💖
Such a great video. People need to know the truth about pregnancy and all the different feelings you feel and go through. Sure… it’s different for everyone. But there are a lot of general things that everyone can relate to and need to hear. I have been pregnant 3 times and each one was different but also so much the same. I never made it through a whole pregnancy though. My longest was almost 5 months. I have panic disorder. So just being pregnant for me was mentally very hard. Panic attacks none stop. Gatorade wad my best and only friend. And the dark thoughts you can have are very very real. It’s so important for us women to know that these things are normal and real. And that “it’s ok” ❤️
I’m so so sorry you had to deal with so much anxiety!! Glad you’re feeling better ❤
I had 2 very different pregnancy experiences. With my first I threw up every single day until the day I gave birth. That was with a boy (who is now 3 years old). 2nd pregnancy with a girl, I honestly can’t even remember it and she is 20 months old now. It was such a blur but I know I had similar scary thoughts. Just know, it DOES NOT mean you are a bad mom. Only human, give yourself grace postpartum. Don’t be too hard on yourself and definitely take it one day at a time. I am what they call a “silky mom” apparently 🤷♀️ Nothing lasts forever and nothing in motherhood is permanent, there are always going to be changes… so remember that when things get rough ❤
❤exciting new chapter❤
For real!! To me, family is what life is all about!!♥️🏡🎶🎡
I can relate to all those symptoms so much, currently week 7 and feeling miserable 😩 really hoping it won’t last through the whole thing…
Good luck ash! 💕 I hope it gets easier and you feel better! I can’t wait to find out the gender!!🫶🏻
I also have the phobia about throwing up, I will not allow it!!!! Haven’t thrown up since I was a little kid lol
I’m so happy for you!! Motherhood is such a beautiful journey, not always easy!! But so beautiful. Are you doing a gender reveal!?! 💕🫣
wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy! you’re gonna be an amazing mama🩷
Do you have a Doppler? I loved mine! It helped my anxiety so much! But when you’re so early and you can’t find heartbeat it is scary. But that only happened a few time, but didn’t you say your cervix or uterus was tilted? Idk if it would help you or not. Just an idea. I’m so happy for you and Jace!
Thank you so much for this video
Omg I feel you on the chipotle vinaigrette thing!!!! Whyyyy do they always forget no matter how much you remind them. Omg I can’t even imagine the horror of not being able to get that while pregnant🥺
I found out right before my period as well I’m really in tune with my body and know when something’s not right. Also I felt the extreme hunger and cramps.
Thankyou for sharing Ash❤you look so beautiful and I’m so excited to see you as a mama!!
You are amazing. I have severe emetophobia as well and it sucks. I have a knarly GI disorder tho ( gastroparesis and SMAS) So I already take zofran, phen and reglan. and the constipation my lord. But I get you it's terrifying. I haven't had a full term pregnancy myself yet and I'm 37. Only very early loss. So I'm rooting for you and hope things get easier on you. You got this. For myself, a tip bc I typically survive off boost 247 but trapped air in stomach is a big cause of nausea usually. So can try burping a lot and it might lessen nausea. I do everything possible to not get sick. Cruel joke on a person with GI disorders that go with Ehlers Danlos huh 😉.
I HATED coffee during my second pregnancy which was crazy because I usually have like 3 cups a day! and the dizziness and passing out I also experienced with both but only because my iron levels were always terrible. hopefully you feel a bit better now!
hoping the rest of your pregnancy goes more smoothly 🤞🏼will you be delivering here in the valley or LA? pregnancy/baby Q&A soon?
the second trimester has been so nice! i’ll be here in the valley
@@ASHLEVI i had my first baby earlier this year at Eisenhower loved it! definitely recommend if your OB happens to deliver there 😊
Stool softeners are life too!! I’m on an iron supplement since I’m anemic and my other medication causes constipation. I couldn’t live without stool softener
girl i tried everything 😭
@@ASHLEVI noooo that’s the worst 😭
I have 2 kids and had 2 shitty pregnancies. First pregnancy I threw up all 9 months, zofran didn’t help, I was throwing up right before I was induced, I spent the night in triage several times from dehydration due to throwing up, etc Second pregnancy my nausea was bad but not as a bad as the first. Buuut I had an ovarian cyst and preeclampsia symptoms 😅
It was hell. I don’t know how I survived it. Especially the second pregnancy, I had a child to take care of in the outside world aside from my little pickle baby inside of me.
But when you hear that first cry and hold your baby it’s all worth it. And you’d do it all over for your little baby. I had a shit first pregnancy but I love my kids so damn much I knew I could do it a second time. It’s all worth it! I’m so proud of you! During really rough and exhausting moments think about that first time you will get to hold your little baby. Us women are strong as hell and we are capable to endure so much, especially for our kids !
I’m so glad you got help when you started to deal with anxiety and depression! I had it as well! After I had my babies I got diagnosed with post partum anxiety and depression. I also had post partum ocd ! These topics don’t get talked about as much as they should be ! Too much stigma still ! Women with a platform like you do can really help others ❤
Btw ! If you plan to breastfeed body armor is great for milk production! ❤❤❤
ngl those potato skins sound fire 😂😂😂
I’m pregnant too and I’m like.. those would hit in this house 😅
I had the crazy sleep schedule too in the first trimester. 🫠 & I'm a teacher. So that was a struggle. I'm grateful to be almost 19 weeks! & practically symptom-free right now. 🙏🏿🙌🏿
I had HG, it would be your worst nightmare. Constant nausea all day and vomiting every two hours. Couldn’t keep down water or any food. It’s hell.
I'm approaching 13 weeks this Friday. This is my second pregnancy (I have a 6 year old) and I've been way more exhausted and nauseous than my first time around. Thankfully I've only thrown up once. Digestive issues...and my first strong aversion was also coffee lol, which I drank daily before. I can sometimes drink coffee from Starbucks but i rarely actually want it, still. And the boob pain is incredible.

How do people with 9-5 jobs survive the first trimester 😧
like holy moly this was a rollercoaster! I don’t know how you did it girl 💪🏻
i don’t know!!! i think pregnancy should count for paid time off
My whole pregnancy was like your first trimester. I couldn't eat and I would actually throw up all the time. I ate McDonald's like every morning and chik fil a chicken nuggets, thats all I could stand. When people kept saying oh don't worry it'll pass, my husband started telling people not to say that to me because it just wasn't stopping & he saw me down bad. It made me not want to have any more kids. But my little babe is my world so it's fine lol
Thanks sooo much for sharing! I dont have kids yet, and wish more people will share these things. Ps. I ALSO HATE throwing up.. my just dont do it ever.
can’t believe i’m pregnant at the same time as my favorite content creator 😭💖
I am pregnant too 15 weeks and I am emetophobic too so I understand what you mean when you say so scared to throw up! Thankfully I made it through 1st trimester without doing it but came so close several times.. had lots of anxiety/sadness and feeling like I was going to have panic attacks/burning stomach and so much indigestion! Our cravings and everything you explained sounds identical except I was FREEZING at night when the nausea hit.. I feel like I know the gender or your baby based on what I am having but I could be wrong 😜LOL
Yayyyy I’ve been checking for another pregnancy update video!! Today I’m 16 + 5 weeks ❤ love following along with youuuu and I’m so happy for you you’re gonna be the best mom ever 😍
aw how exciting!! how was your first trimester?
@@ASHLEVI tbh I was lucky and it was easy 😬🥺 idk how I got so blessed, cuz I have an 11 year old as well and the pregnancy was easy too…I was like no way I’m gonna get lucky like this more than once!! I feel for you and the mommas who go thru it😫🥺
I found out I was pregnant about week 3 too!! Crazy!! 9 days after conception about. Which is insane lol. I wish I didn’t want coffee!! It’s been rough limiting my caffeine intake. I miss my energy drinks haha
Pay attention to when you're waking up at night thats probably when baby is going to wake up once they are earth side. I was up at 12, 2, 330, and 6 am and he woke up at those exact times
when i told my doc i wanted to try to get preg she took me off Lexapro and put me on Zoloft bc its the only safe anxiety med to take while pregnant apparently. i did NOT like it.
yeah i've heard zoloft is recommended but my doctor didn't want me to switch if lexapro was already working.
With all the sickness and how rough it was , I think you are totally having a girl 🥹
How do you think you will handle having emetaphobia and kids? It’s a big reason I don’t have kids.
i helped raise my nephew and it wasn’t horrible to be around actually. but also throw up is jayce’s duty lol
Congratulations first off! Sounds like the baby could be a boy my friend said savoury for boy sweet for girl! Has two boys by the way 🙂👍 it’ll be interesting to see if it true 🥸! Can’t wait to watch the rest of your journey 🙂❤
How’s your iron? Because when my iron was low I was feeling soooo dizzy and off during my pregnancy
my iron is always low. i might have to get an infusion :(
@@ASHLEVImine was (and is to this day) too, with each of my three pregnancies. I made it thru w/o any crazy measures even tho I couldn’t tolerate any of the supplements. That was a couple’a decades ago, tho, and what I’ve noticed w/ my son & his girl’s pregnancy (they’re due at the very beginning of the year!!) is things are VERY very different these days! I just made due with changes to my diet.🥒🍒🫒🫐🥦🥕🥝🍇
@@ASHLEVI that could explain some of the symptoms you are having! I’m anemic again but not pregnant and I feel awful! And I had an infusion last year and It helped so much!!
Vasovigal syncope is the WORST. I’ve had it a few times and it feels like you’re dying 😭
God I was sooooooo constipated when I was pregnant. I would drink Metamucil a lot and it would sometimes help. I would also nap everyday for about 3-4 hours. I think taking notes of all your symptoms is super smart because now I feel like a barely remember being pregnant
If it makes you feel any better, whom ever says the baby feels what you feel is 100% not true! I’m not proud of this but I am an addict I did heroin and meth for two pregnancy’s ! (I’m sober now) both babies we’re born on time healthy and beautiful! Completely have met all the growth goals and brain goals ones nine years oldand ones a year in a half. Please give yourself a break. Most pregnancy issues come from fate and genetics.
ALSO I suggest stop googling and trying to “figure out what is going on with you” sometimes knowledge is not power sometimes it’s just the ammunition to your anxiety
In and out craving might mean low iron!
i always have low iron 😭
After having my three girls I no longer have the fear of throwing up lol
Crazy how women have been having babies for thousands of years
I just had to share, I took Zofran and Reglan my ENTIRE pregnancy 🫠 so don’t ever feel guilty for taking any meds, I even had to take steroids for a few weeks towards the end of my pregnancy and ppl made me feel guilty for that. She’s about to be 10 and is an absolute 😇
