- I'm so glad that Toshiki Inoue came back to writing for Sentai, because what a wonderful, glorious, FUN mess of a season we got. It was a wild, funky festival from the lows to the highs, and I hope you guys enjoy listening to this tribute as much as I enjoyed writing and working on it! So far all the Reiwa seasons have been winning - we'll see if Kingohger can join the list!
(Also, I know that it's supposed to be a pheasant in the tale and not a crane, but the pun worked too well not to use it 😎)

Localizing the "Donburako" onomatopoeia as "Don-Down we go," so that it works w/ the peach bobbing down the river thing. That's actually brilliant.
Yes, I tried really hard to think of appropriate ways to bring the puns and onomatopoeia over, and I'm glad it worked out!!

Actually, the original version has the same Worplay in Japanese. So its a good adaptation.

This is straight-up the best English toku cover I've heard on youtube, the way you conveyed the wordplay from the original song put a big smile on my face and the vocals have such a fun vibe. Hope you do more toku stuff in the future!

Best cover I heard of this song yet, Can we get donbrothers streaming in the states with this as the ending? It's only been a couple days but I miss those weirdos. You were even able to adapt the puns using the word "Don" (especially Donburako), and when they mention the themes of each ranger (oni, pheasant / crane, monkey and dog). You even added the word "bond" in the lyrics
I particularly loved the "crane-zy" pun.

I just found this and I absolutely love it. The way you americanized the lyrics and added the puns of the other Don brothers is amazing! My favorite part has to be throw your head back in a WA HA HA! this is such a superb cover. most of english cover lost the original meaning of the lyrics when trying to adapt it, but not only this cover got the original meaning of the song right, it even has the little easter of the member being mentioned as a world play.
