- It’s Tenerife travel day! Join Cat, Dean and Cat’s lovely mum as we travel from MAN to TFS with EasyJet to meet up with Andrew AKA the Knightstrider!
As it’s Mum’s birthday coming up we treated her to a visit to the Aspire Lounge whilst we waited for our flight. We then had a little mooch through duty free before boarding our flight! It was a nice smooth 4 hour flight but we landed to a very gloomy Tenerife! We were greeted by the Knightstrider and also some lovely torrential rain! We ended our travel day with a phenomenal steak in Vegas Grill 😋🤤
The next morning we headed into Los Cristianos for a stroll along the front and a coffee before grabbing some lunch at The Vault with Andrew, Mum and Dad! We round off the vlog by sorting our hire car with Sanasty!

Excellent travel and first day vlog. How lovely of you to treat Lydia to the Aspire Lounge. Love to try the different perfume's but totally agree how stupid were those bottles. Allows them to charge more I guess. I LOVE a nice perfume. I have not visited Tenerife since 2011 due to family issues, I had a poorly golden retriever and mother in law so could not travel as we were the only one's to look after them both. When we finally got our freedom, lockdown and restricted travel hit so we have still not been. Really must think about booking as Tenerife was like our second home. So glad the weather picked up for you.

Lovely vlog Cat, never been to Manchester airport yet, but going in may as i will be flying to Cape Verde with 3 friends. We were going to do the Aspire lounge but it was going to cost £220 for the 4 of us, and thats a lot of spending money for us girls so decided against it. Lovely to see you all together there , how the hell did your dad manage that sandwich 🤣🤣looked good though. Enjoy your hols and thanks for the vlog x

We use the aspire lounge at Luton airport love it!!! And I always get stopped through the scanner!!
It’s the first time I’ve ever been in it but it was lovely and chilled out compared to the rest of the airport and the breakfast was great! 👌🏼
We’ve also been to the upper class virgin lounge at gatwick and in may are going to the upper class virgin lounge at Heathrow. Liked Gatwick but Heathrow looks a lot better!

Emirates are another level. We flew to Australia with them, business class. It was another world, especially having a full length bed to lie down in and your own mini bar. 🥰
Whe we fly to Australia we always travel Singapore Airlines, business class and again it's fantastic and the only way to travel.

Defo book the aspire lounge when we travel from Bristol ,been booking it for about 10 years, it’s defo worth it & great to relax & chill out, plus take a few snacks with us for the flight 🙋🏻♀️🤣🎂🧁, enjoy your holiday 🏝🏝🥂😎😎😘 xx

Thank you! ☺️ Sarah also isn’t a very big drinker either to be fair… the car was spotless inside but it’s very difficult to keep the outside clean on the dusty Tenerife roads and there was a calima on the way so I told him not to bother with the outside. That was definitely the same crew! They said they had a very quick turn around and we landed in Tenerife at 5:30 ☺️

We were there from 19th January till 7th February and never had weather like it had been for the 3 weeks we were there for always had lovely weather in january and we've been going there for 15 years so glad that it's getting better.

brilliant travel vlog Catherine,I agree with you about the silly perfume bottles,I prefer a normal shaped bottle with a bit of decoration on. Is the lounge really worth it
I think it entirely depends on what time/day you fly, how busy the airport is, how long your flight is etc. This is the first time I’ve booked it and it was as a treat for my mum but it was definitely worth it on this day as the breakfast was great and the airport was so hectic it was a great place to relax and get into the holiday mood! I think we got our moneys worth with what we had food and drinks wise also. I would definitely book again if flying over a weekend when the airport will be busy and on a flight that’s 4 hours + so I could fill up on food but for a little mid week short 1-2 hour flight I probably wouldn’t bother ☺️

The airport security personnel at any airport are the worst! Like you, can’t understand why the rules vary from airport to airport. Doesn’t make you feel safe.
That’s a tough one! I don’t mind the rain in Florida too much because I’m not there for sunbathing really…whereas Tenerife is a beachy holiday and so it needs the sunshine! But either is better than being at home in work! 🤣

Should of flown from liverpool we don't fly from Manchester if we can help it we have a lot of holiday's a year because are both retired now xxx
We looked at flights departing Liverpool but they was like double the price 😨, security at Liverpool is so much easier
I know we always sail through Liverpool never mind at least u all got there safely enjoy your holiday and liverpool won for u last night xxxx
We much prefer flying from Liverpool too, twenty minute drive from us and just generally much less hassle but I don’t think they were any flights to Tenerife on that Friday and the Saturday flights were extortionate! Thanks for watching ☺️💛
