- IFP President Velenkosini Hlabisa says it is unfair that the late Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi is solely being blamed for the violence during the late 80's and early 90's. Buthelezi died Saturday morning at his home at the age of 95. His passing has been met with mixed reactions, with many criticising his contentious legacy. This is in response to an article from Mondli Makhanya about the life of Buthelezi. We are now joined by IFP spokesperson Mkhuleko Hlengwa.

I am 55yrs, seen it all & this IFP young man I wonder knows what he is talking about. I grew up scared of IFP, in fact we used to identify any Zulu speaking as Inkatha, down in Lebowa homeland, and we ran for our life’s

We as South African we are the cause of the mess we are in we have to blame our selves for believing in lies and keep on voting for criminal led political parties.
There is practically no party that deserves to be voted for by South Africans. There is no party that is interested in the prosperity and wellbeing of SANS. SANS vote for those that they think is a lesser devil than the other. However, across the spectrum, none has the best interests of SANS at heart. Well if you were born recently, you will agree with Mhlengwa. We who were there in the 90s, know very well that Makhanya is telling the truth. IFP was brutal and feared by entire South Africans. Mongosuthu was feared and viewed as a killing machinery for the apartheid regime.

To help Inkatha means a "grass coil" that represents UNITY.
