I wish I could give this video 100 likes. I think Jesse did great for his first time. He’ll be faster once you get the car set up and dialed in, he has to remember with Dirt Daddy driving, the car wasn’t exceptionally fast. Anyhow AWESOME you all are back at the track!!!!!! Huge thank you to the whole #HTF family for allowing Jesse the opportunity to drive. There’s so many life lessons to learn from this video, trust, thoughtfulness, friendship, helpfulness, proud of the #HTF family. After all Jesse have fun, don’t get caught up in the moment and forget its all about having fun!!!!

His comparison of real life to iRacing was spot on imo. Some folks say it is nothing alike but they are just looking ONLY at the feel factor. Sure you can't feel the car jarring you around sitting in an office chair and the car has a lot more "force feedback" in real life (though that is adjustable), but the input side of things is where iRacing shines. From my experience behind a real car and in iRacing, a lot of the skills do transfer over. Now of course if you go spend $40k on a sim racing rig, I'd say it probably would mirror that jarring and stiffness and most everything else. Best way I put it to people on iRacing with a typical desk set up is that you just can't feel the rear end. For being in a virtual world with virtual physics and feedback, it is as close as it gets. Many local drivers to me here use it to get extra practice laps. If they were nothing alike, it would be a waste of money.

Jesse,in a high powered, late model stock car, there is an art to setting the car in the corner, turning right to go left and being able to hang on to it so you don't swap ends.Been their, done that.

The advice I give new guys that ask me is,my driving style is way different than most and it has worked great for me all these years,I don't worry about my set up the only thing I change occasionally is gears I just run the car and find out what part of the track it handles best and hold that line but that's just me the only track I run is bubba's so the set had stayed basically the same all these years, but my car with the 604 handles best wide open I don't let off the throttle and normally run the high side if the track is wet I start high and work low when it's dryer I start low and work up but y'all are more serious about it than me and have better equipment, just find where you feel best and practice,I enjoy y'all's videos thanks for sharing

To jump in a car that you’ve never driven and isn’t set up for you and to look that comfortable.. just wait until he’s dialed in. Watch out sportsman division
