I see you guys took out the little airbox plastic covers would you say its essential for airflow? Asking because mine has a tendency to cut out every now and then when its been idling for a while and you give it a blip.
Mine didn't come with the airbox plastic covers. I would definitely take them off for riding to let it breathe. The covers will be useful for washing though
Justin M stock is about 56-58whp and 35ft-lbdepending on who's dyno it's on. This bike, with the exhaust, high comp piston, porting and other bits I'd put money on 60+ easily maybe 63whp.. and getting on towards 40ft-lb. but I would also like to know what they mean by really strong on the dyno
Great build. Good job as always Ping.
Graphics look saaaweeettttt!
They make all of these project bikes but what actually happens to them when they've finished testing them?
Any plans on making a video of this bike on the dyno so you can see the numbers and performance????
should try some Fasst Co Flexx bars if you want to get some flexibility out of handle bars .

wertsy1990 In non EU countries it's already removed. They're only there for Euro 4 standards
How much longer was that linkage?
I wish works connection sent me some parts lol
Really strong on the dyno equates to what HP & TQ numbers?

its not about peak numbers, its about the power band. Supercross bikes put out around 70hp, and 40+ tq. this bike, probably close to 60 and 38
I think a lot of you would be shocked by how mellow and rideable most pro bikes are.
But yes, power delivery > peak power
What do people think about 110 vs 120 mx3s for yz 450
IMO go with the 110 unless your desert riding or riding sand tracks.
He said is has 20 hours on it, so it's pretty well abused. My two stroke 2011 yz125 has over 180 on it. Lol
Motocross290 20 hours of media abuse and pro riders. 20hours on an amateur bike is nothing. 180 hours on a 125 is extreme lol
20hrs is nothing? You must not be fast
LOL
KICKERMAN124 Dude shut up.....
I want that so bad
