It is always a treat to welcome a new carrier to Montreal; I am glad this flight is more spotter friendly unlike the other Avianca flight which only arrives at 10pm...
Welome to Montreal Avianca El Salvador 🇸🇻 ! This new route will operate 3 times a week connecting Montreal with San Salvador, this will compliment the recently inaugurated Avianca flight from Bogota, Colombia!
TACA airlines use to operate this route until the merger with Avianca .
The route will be operated by the A320(neo); this aircraft has 12 business class seats and 168 in economy for a total of 180 seats.
This route will be operated by Avianca Group specifically as the flight is operated by Avianca Costa Rica, the aircraft is operated by Avianca itself but it is flying for Avianca El Salvador. This unique arrangement is possible as the Avianca Group has multiple divisions in various latin American countries.
This new route will boast Montreal's already extensive Latin American network as the airport is currently served by 5 Latin American carriers (Aeromexico, Avianca (from BOG), Arajet and Copa).
YUL use to be served by Cubana but those flights remain suspended.
