When I first watched this movie , I didn’t expect what would happen but watching Erin being a badass was amazing. Erin is such a underrated final girl. 👏🏾

I need another Erin movie. This movie absolutely doesn't need a sequel but Erin deserves a series. Sharni Vinson has this completely unexpected grit to her and I love it and need to see more of it and Erin is just such a fun character. Even just one more movie and I'd be satisfied.
So glad you got a chance to watch this! It's definitely under-appreciated in the genre and the lead actress is easily one of the best final girls ever. I would loooove to see you react to Haunt(2019) and Terrifier since the sequel just dropped. Both are awesome low-budget slashers that I think you would dig.
I watched this in the theater and I honestly thought from the trailer that it was going to be a ripoff of The Strangers. I couldn't have been more wrong! I loved this movie. It was such cool twist and flip on this style of horror. Erin is amazing and I was so hyped watching her just blow through all the antagonists. Still one of my favorite horror films to date. So well done!
I saw this movie in 2011 when I was still new to horror, and this movie was so awesome. The Strangers was also very early on, I think even my first horror. Those two are big reasons I love home invasion horror.
Truly one of my favorite slasher movies. I've also grown to really appreciate Sharni Vinson's (Erin's actress) physical performance. She really carried the movie for me.
I remember seeing this in theaters and everyone in there was having a good time screaming and laughing especially at the “fuck you felix!” And “why won’t you die!?” lines 😭
All this could've been avoided if the parents just had wifi calling enabled. :-/ The mom losing it over her daughter bleeding to death really got to me.
Fun fact this was shot in my hometown about 8 mins down the road from where I live. For those wondering it was flimed Columbia, Missouri. The film makers and some of the crew are from here. So it was really cool to have that experience
Ever since I watched The Guest and You're Next, I've been excited for more movies from the Adam Wingard (Director). Unfortunately, he gave us The Blair Witch (2016) and Death Note after that. I thought they were meh but he also gave us Godzilla vs Kong so I still love the man.
I love this movie!! I saw this movie a long time ago I remember just randomly seeing the poster in the movies theaters and then never hearing about it again and then I was in game x change and saw the DVD and I ended up buying it and I loved it easily became one of my favorites!
Love this movie, so glad you did a reaction to it. Refreshing to see villains who aren't supernatural or killing just for the pleasure. Also gives a reason why Erin is able to survive the assault and fight back effectively
This is one of my top 5 slashers and maybe top 5 modern horror too. I love the acting, the gore, the comedy, and how it embraces its indie-ness. The twists of who our characters are is one of the best. Unfortunately Sharni (the main actress) isn’t in much mainstream media so I haven’t seen her in much but the Step Up franchise. Despite that she’s one of my favorite final girls just for how (spoiler spoiler spoiler). Thank you for covering this and sharing your honest reaction!

Funny Games is another good home invasion film. There are 2 versions. The original came out in the late 90s. The director remade it about 10 years later. It's the remake I recommend. It has Naomi Watts and Tim Roth.
“Cheesy dialogue” is more realistic than not. Think about all the banal conversations you’ve had with co-workers, acquaintances, and people you’ve met for the first time. Boiler plate small talk is so average that we expect films to skip over it in favor of pithy, quotable snark or too-clever-by-half conversations.
From the trailers to being promoted at Comic-Con 2013 to theatrical release, this was one of my favorites of that year. When It was released in 2011, it was at the Toronto international film festival during the 'midnight madness' selections (suspense features). Sharni Vinson (Step Up 3, Blue Crush 2) was wonderful as Erin. The definite reversal of running and taking it to the murderers in the worse way. That family was all kinds of screwed up. Some of them didn't deserve to die. The ending was really messed up though. Adam Wingard, after Godzilla vs. Kong was announced to being involved with the upcoming Thundercats movie from WB
Tariq, the daughters boyfriend who dies at dinner is played by director Ti West, who did "X" another of the movies you'll be watching. Joe Swanson and AJ Bowen are also horror actors/director. They were kind of the "Indie Horror Rat Pack" of the late 2000's and all worked together pretty often.
JENNIFER’S BODY!!!!! Just for the fact that everyone made fun of the movie back when it released….but now is kind of beloved by people and is kind of a cult classic. It was always a movie I loved even before it making a comeback. You just have to see it because it is a really fun ride. It is by far thee best performance from Megan Fox. I don’t want to ruin it but it isn’t a movie that should be taken 100% seriously and isn’t super scary but it definitely has some really fun moments.

i originally watched You're Next simply because it had Barbara Crampton in it, i knew nothing about it beyond her being in it and it was a home invasion film. i was completely blown away by it and it's now a huge favourite along with Ready Or Not which i watched straight after You're Next.
Big fan of Supernatural! I absolutely loved the first 5 seasons. some of the best TV I've seen. the next few were good. I stuck around until season 11 and then had to walk separate ways! oh this was a good movie lol 🍿

I'm a fan of this movie and a lot of the people involved (I went to high school with the wolf mask killer). He and 2 or 3 of the others are also in another great film by the same writer/director team called A Horrible Way to Die. It's little known and underrated, but well worth the watch.
This is a better "Ready or not". Here, you can actually get why the last girl is surviving and earning his survival. I couln't cope with Ready or not protagonist, she didn't earned it! I wish more people watched this before that movie (which I like, but just barely).
@@1ncognitooo If I remember correctly, many of those characters turns against each other, giving her an advantage. Also, she wasn't established as a "killer" or a trained person. The family already participated in that, how are they SO bad and she is good? I prefer this "final girl".

I love what a badass Erin is in this movie. There isn't a moments hesitation or panic, she just switches right into survival mode.

Sharni Vinson needs to do more action horror PLEASE. I have watched her since “Step up 3” and “Survivor Australia.” I miss her !
They were going to make a sequel to the movie, but it was cancelled as the producers felt that it should be it's own story.

If you've not seen Till Death yet, check it out. One of her better performances. She's much better with a director who tells her more than "look hot"
