In Telugu -atleast in Telangana - we traditionally call this Pappucharu or in some cases Mukkalapulusu. Please don't call everything Sambar which is basically a Tamilian dish which propogated into SeemaAndhra cuisine during the British rule with influence from Chennai. Calling everything Sambar discounts authentic Telugu origin dishes their credit.
