'Former Pakistani pm. Nawaz Sharif admits mistake in breaking peace agreement, get ready to experience the laughter surprise, I am Shantanu, guide to all things Pakistani culture and beyond.
    as you know:
The peace agreement between Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif refers to the Lahore Declaration, signed in February 1999. This historic agreement aimed to deescalate tensions and improve bilateral relations between India and Pakistan. Key components of the declaration included commitments to:
    1. Peace and security: Both countries agreed to work towards the resolution of their differences through peaceful means and to avoid the use of force.
    2. Nuclear safety: They pledged to take measures to prevent accidental or unauthorized use of nuclear weapons and to work towards non-proliferation.
    3. Confidence-building measures: They agreed to enhance mutual understanding and confidence through increased people-to-people contact, trade, and cultural exchanges.
    4. Combat terrorism: Both nations committed to combating terrorism and preventing it from derailing the peace process.
The Lahore Declaration was a significant step towards normalization of relations between the two nuclear-armed neighbors, although subsequent events, such as the Kargil conflict later in 1999, strained these efforts.
