The 2025 BYD Denza Z9 is offered in two advanced powertrain configurations: a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) and a fully battery-electric variant (BEV). The PHEV combines a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine with three electric motors, delivering a staggering total output of 640 kW (858 hp). This setup allows the Z9 PHEV to sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds. It features a 38.5 kWh LFP battery, offering an electric-only range of 201 km and a combined range of 1,100 km. On the other hand, the BEV model is equipped with three electric motors that collectively produce an impressive 710 kW (952 hp), enabling acceleration from 0-100 km/h in a remarkable 3.4 seconds. The BEV comes with a larger 100.1 kWh LFP battery, providing a range of 630 km on a single charge.
In terms of dimensions, the Denza Z9 measures 5,220 mm in length, 1,990 mm in width, and 1,500-1,518 mm in height, with an expansive wheelbase of 3,125 mm. Both variants utilize lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries known for their durability and safety. Additional features include air suspension for enhanced ride comfort, 21-inch wheels paired with premium continental tires, and a sleek design that combines luxury with cutting-edge technology.
