Definitely cheaper in winter, hotels etc are so much more expensive in the middle of the year 😏 I would go in winter again but I just need to stay healthy!

Hi Jan, thanks for this video about 10 reasons you should visit Iceland in the Winter. With as difficult as snow can be to deal with sometimes, it sure adds a lot of scenic beauty to the landscape. The scene with the Orange colored Sunset was really amazing. Seeing a house with the lights on and smoke coming out the the chimney is a very cozy scene. I remember the video you did highlighting the Hot Springs and the unique experience of visiting them. Take care and enjoy the rest of the Winter months in Northern Iceland.

Hello Ben, thank you! I feel like the best part of the winter is starting now, so I am very excited about upcoming months. We just got some fresh snow, days are getting longer and there're hopefully some sunny days ahead. Sending my best regards from Iceland!

Hello Jan, I like to see Iceland in winter, I’ve been there in oktober, June and September. Now I’m going to the Lofoten, Norway next week. Maybe once I go to Iceland in winter. Greetings from the Netherlands.

Jan - nice video and all great points. I am visiting in late March. I agree - snow and winter is best. I live in an area that is based on tourism and agree with you that we are all friendlier when it is cold and snowing out. I feel more alive when there is a bit of struggle to drive or walk, gather wood to build fires and stay warm, etc. It requires us to slow down, and be mindful. Plus - snow insulates sound, and makes the world a more quiet place. Always a plus!

Thank you for sharing, very well said :) You chose a great winter month to travel here and it is already much brighter, around 13hrs of daylight, so you have whole day for exploring :)
