Landowners Phil Johncock and Chelsea Wills applied for the Woodland Trust MOREwoods scheme to gain a subsidy, allowing the pair to plant an area of mixed coppice on their land in North Devon.
Rachel Hicks, Farmers Guide editor, caught up with them on a sunny summer day to talk about their long-term plans for the land, the changes they have already witnessed and the future advantage the scheme will bring.
