Oh! Darling, thanks for the worrying, you are so nice! ❤️❤️ But i watched them all, i know the stories and would not be lost. But watching the top of someone is probably better than choosing at random and hope that it was one that I liked. I binge watched the series so its a little bit hard to remember what happened when
I personally laughed at the "she got pants now" joke. I don't know why that got me but it just did. I always look forward to your adventure time videos can't wait for the next one.
The one that made me laugh and cry the most is the scene where Simon was at the freezer wearing the outfit the Ice king does, cuz it reminded me: *We wish to see Simon moments again when he's the Ice king, but we also want to see the Ice king moments when he's back to Simon..*
Bruh the moment see through princess put herself together and rando glass guy said "she has pants now" was amazing. The deapand delivery is what got me.
@@mobydickies8135 I don't think they are literally rules, but any media product that serve a general audience (as opposed to a specific market) avoids LGBT or other controversial issues. The problem comes when you try to show this in countries where Lgbt is frowned upon at best and illegal at worst. This type of behavior would get the show banned from being shown in places like the middle east. If you are a CN executive, and you are left between either losing money and getting money, I think you can predict what you will choose.
What about PB saying that Marceline could make an extra angry and sad song, only to have her say that a wave of acceptance had washed over her, followed by PB's exaggerated "noooooooooo"
The scene where the baby wolf’s mom just died there was so sad bc the baby wolf only said “wazzup” and then Elise just whacked him probably bc she was scared.
YEARS after Adventure Time ended and this guy is STILL making me realize that this show was MUCH deeper than I gave it credit for. I suppose binge watching a good chunk of it all at once was a mistake. The show was never meant to be binge watched (The specials aside of course) and some questions were never meant to have solid answers, only speculative theories at best. Distant Lands, though, is a fantastic opportunity to dive back in for some much better character development and world building that the show didn't have a chance of doing due to... a number of reasons probably, but mostly do to the fact that it... well... ended. Here's hoping that we get some more answers in the next two specials! (I'm personally hoping we see whatever became of Finn's and Huntress Wizard's relationship)
I think binge watching for the very first viewing ever might not be ideal (although it would no doubt very from person to person). I think maybe chunks of 7 episodes at a time every few days (or once a week) is what I would recommend though. On rewatches though, the show works excellently both in binge form and not.
"I wish I could read lips" I like this new style, having a bunch of videos about Obsidian instead of a megareview. I hope you do one on Bubbline, and one on all of the music
Yeah! I've been really excited about the 'Adventure Time: Distant Lands' movie, 'Together Again', ever since it got announced! ^_^ I love a lot of the characters, but Finn has always been my most favorite! :D
My favorite fan theory comment I've seen: Glass boy: "What's that tattoo, dude?" Finn: "It's to remember my brother, Jake." Glass boy: "Oh no, what happened to him?" Finn: "Nothing. I just like remembering him."
I like how Marcy and pb’s differences and dualism first ruins their relationship then holds it together. At first they’re too different for each other, pb is the controlling perfectionist who cares too much, Marcy is the impulsive rebel who doesn’t care enough. Pb wants to control Marcy and Marcy doesn’t want to be controlled. They only realize that they are what each other needs when they admit their flaws. It’s amazing how well their relationship ties in with the moral of self acceptance
@@danielcastillo591 Well it's highly unlikely of Jake to stay still with a winking eye for a long time. And knowing Jake, he could not have controlled himself from busting some moves whenever a song came on.
I just found this dudes channel recently and I've been loving the content. I've noticed Uncivilized Elk has been going through some stuff though, depression is no fun. Hopefully you're doing good, man I'll be praying for you 👍
My favorite joke has to be juice goose's rhyme because I didn't see the cart of moisturizer at the start so when he said "non the wiser" I was actually thinking the writers had to come up with something on the spot to rhyme with that.
This video is just Uncivilized Elk demanding more AT merch and I AM HERE FOR IT. --Also Marceline in Obsidian really helped me bridge that gap you mentioned during your Stakes video. Her younger self is kind of a huge jerk and given what we know about her childhood, it's easy to see how she's spent a lot of time doubling down on her worst traits. She's also had a long life and distance from her initial transformation may have helped as well.
I just realized, since its implied that PB's Aunt help run the candy kingdom(s) maybe that also helped PB take time off for herself too? since she doesn't need to do everything on her own now
Another favourite joke of mine was PB being so proud that all the root beer came from her body, like its probably the only time her candy powers have come in handy
To me it was definitely Marceline playing three people (including Bonnie’s relative reaction) and the NOOOOOOOOO to the ominous disclosure of Marcy managing to overcome her internal issues.
The ooowww, ooowwww, oooowwww that hurrttttssss. Also, the classic reference to the banana guards yelling, we woo we woo we woo when ever they come to fight
Interesting how Simon doesn't seem that much older 10-20 years after come along with me. Maybe he dyes his grey hairs. Or maybe he's actually aging slower. l mean people keep calling him "old man"
I wish the best for your future videos on this, I'm looking forward to hear you talk more about Marcy and Pb's relationship, including how Marcy's childhood ties in with who she became, how she's different now, how PB is different too but not unfamiliar, and maybe that flashback at the end which takes place while Pb appears to be in her middle teens
You skipped my favorite comedic moment. Marcy: “A wave of acceptance has washed over me...” PB: “... Noooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!” That part killed me. The timing was so good.
This special sort of made me understand the relationship of Finn and Princess Bubblegum all because Finn’s towel came off while PB can care less. The whole Marceline and PB shipping didn’t work for me in the show but in the special, they put the effort that I admire then the effort they did from the original.
Yeah that scene just kind of screams "yeah she was gay all along" which is a bit of a retcon but it kind of makes since. Especially if you look at episodes like broko where a guy literally drives himself insane trying to get a date with pb. It was like "it's really not finns fault shes just like this"
I mean, pb is way older than Finn, they have a huge age gap which make it hard for them to be in an relationship. Pb probably saw Finn as a cute little brother since Finn was just a 12-17 year old teenager.(Tbh if it was in real life, Pb will be arrested by FBI if she actually had feelings for a little boy like Finn>
That scene makes me wonder something else. Even if youre gay, youd probably get embarrassed if your friend and representative just showed up fucking naked one day, and Pb was VERY worried earlier about not being embarrassed in front of the glass people again. I know by the end of the ep she doesnt care about any of that anymore, since they have broken their looking glass self and stopped mocking people for showing their flaws, but HOW MANY TIMES HAS FINN ENDED UP NAKED for her to have such a resigned reaction? Does he do this ALL THE TIME?
"At least they'll find our skeletons entwined" "I don't have skeleton but that sounds pretty romantic" and "she's got pants now" were probably my favorites
I am SO EXCITED to see you get into the new post war ruins. I really like how it seems immediately after the mushroom war, humans went back to painting on every surface they came into contact with like we used to in prehistoric times.
8:15 cracked me up! Why does no one acknowledge that poor innocent man's death? Again at 13:18! Three people die and ST Princess is just like 'Can we get a cleanup in aisle 3'? I guess death just isn't a very big deal for glass people. Also I loved the Bob's Burger's joke. And a little disappointed you didn't mention Marcy's 'angrier' song about Bonnie using her brush because that joke made me laugh so hard and also fawn over how cute they are, but I still loved the video.
5:47 I don't think there's actually much to analyze here. Simon basically spent the last 1000+ years in a fever dream where he was a senile immortal king with ice powers and enough weird issues to make even Freud's head spin. Coming off from that is a major shift in his life, his psyche, and how he see's himself. So his coping is perhaps a way for him to mitigate a desire to return to the form of the Ice King simply because its what he was for a literal millennia. Or perhaps he's experiencing some sort of magical withdrawal - esque effect and this coping helps to quell that. We'll never really know, but I personally don't think its too hard to put together.
I love the deeper exploration of the "moderation" sign. I also never considered that Glassboy pointing out that Woke Up was about PB was actually a meta joke. I just thought Glassboy was being a dick lol
I think my favorite thing about the entire concept of the special is having the location be the Glass Kingdom filled with glass people represents how everyone has *cracks* but you can always *reflect* on your life.
My favorite joke was when young Marceline excitedly turns the lights on when she enters the bunker and then immediately turns them off again when she sees the skeletons. It's morbid but so bluntly relatable.

Oh! Darling, thanks for the worrying, you are so nice! ❤️❤️
But i watched them all, i know the stories and would not be lost. But watching the top of someone is probably better than choosing at random and hope that it was one that I liked. I binge watched the series so its a little bit hard to remember what happened when
I couldn’t hear Glassboy as a different character. I only hear Amethyst lol
While I could clearly tell it was Amethyst’s VA, it wasn’t until Glassboy got more... excited? That I felt like I was hearing Amethyst
Yeah! That kind of threw me off! Hearing Glass-boy talk just always made me think of Amethyst! XD
YES
I realized this just now omg xD
Honestly glassboy just felt like child amethys. She was the perfect voice actor for that role
I personally laughed at the "she got pants now" joke. I don't know why that got me but it just did. I always look forward to your adventure time videos can't wait for the next one.
lmao same 😂
The one that made me laugh and cry the most is the scene where Simon was at the freezer wearing the outfit the Ice king does, cuz it reminded me: *We wish to see Simon moments again when he's the Ice king, but we also want to see the Ice king moments when he's back to Simon..*
I was so grateful for that scene you have no idea
Bruh the moment see through princess put herself together and rando glass guy said "she has pants now" was amazing. The deapand delivery is what got me.
When finn's towel came off pb just said "eh"
Hilarious
O- oh
but at the same time Marceline seems surprised or shocked
It just meant she was not impressed lol
I mean it might've just been the other one
If cartoon didn't have such a strict rule about Lgbt relationships, Marceline would've kissed already Years ago
they kissed in the finale of adventure time tho!
@@gothgrrl8711 i know, but like, i was watching stakes once and i was like "OH MY GOD JUST KISS ALREADY!"
@@70Lu07 I understand this feeling so much.
What about the rules?
@@mobydickies8135 I don't think they are literally rules, but any media product that serve a general audience (as opposed to a specific market) avoids LGBT or other controversial issues. The problem comes when you try to show this in countries where Lgbt is frowned upon at best and illegal at worst. This type of behavior would get the show banned from being shown in places like the middle east. If you are a CN executive, and you are left between either losing money and getting money, I think you can predict what you will choose.
the sign at dirt beer guy's tavern was actually in Son of Rap Bear fully unobstructed, and it does in fact read "PB SAYS" at the top
What about PB saying that Marceline could make an extra angry and sad song, only to have her say that a wave of acceptance had washed over her, followed by PB's exaggerated "noooooooooo"
I love the fact that they're finished with the adventure time story arc so now they're just fucking around and being wholesome. amazing.
I never even considered the meaning behind that PB moderation poster. That’s actually really cool.
Dude somebody help me I'm so incredibly obsessed with this episode. I can't sleep, eat or live. I loved it so much
I literally fell sick for several days because my energy for the ep has been at the level where i forget to sleep and eat
yeah like it actually messed me up a good amount
Dang I thought I was the only one. I got really depressed afterward because it was so good, and its over.
@@insert1wittynamehere I've been fucking crying, but don't give in, cuz there's 2 more episodes coming in 2021 November
The scene where the baby wolf’s mom just died there was so sad bc the baby wolf only said “wazzup” and then Elise just whacked him probably bc she was scared.
yeah I mean come on that was one chill wolf
@@misterdj6671 yea :(
NGL I'd also be scared if I met a talking, four-eyed wolf. Those don't talk here.
that 'sorry for bullying you your whole life' was so damn good XD
I literally just finished watching this and looked up if you made an analysis....
freakin mind blown lol
Adventure time was truly a grand adventure through the fun of childhood to the dark and light sides of the future
How did we not talk about Marcie's "BLEHEHEEHE!" that was the best joke for me, by far🤣
Honestly that laugh gave me major Papyrus vibes "NYEH HEH HEH"
@@imorstrash8985 oh my god you're RIGHT!
"I wish I could read lips"
I like this new style, having a bunch of videos about Obsidian instead of a megareview. I hope you do one on Bubbline, and one on all of the music
Can't wait about the finn episode I rilly was not expecting to see him but I was pleasantly surprised.
Yeah! I've been really excited about the 'Adventure Time: Distant Lands' movie, 'Together Again', ever since it got announced! ^_^ I love a lot of the characters, but Finn has always been my most favorite! :D
:(
@@TheNoEyedGirl why so sad?

0k?
I don’t know why but something about how much you love this show makes me happy
My favorite fan theory comment I've seen:
Glass boy: "What's that tattoo, dude?"
Finn: "It's to remember my brother, Jake."
Glass boy: "Oh no, what happened to him?"
Finn: "Nothing.
This is an awesome comment
Y'all Jake is just shapeshifted into the tattoo, stop stressin. it's like when he was a brick or just tiny in finns pocket that one time
I think he was in Finns pocket a few times
But the tattoos 2d, and Jakes pretty much 3d.
@@suyashsontakke5828 He could be really, REALLY flat
@@danielcastillo591 Well it's highly unlikely of Jake to stay still with a winking eye for a long time. And knowing Jake, he could not have controlled himself from busting some moves whenever a song came on.
@@suyashsontakke5828 plus, Jake can't change colors, so either Finn has a tattoo of some flowers, or our boys dead.
This episode was amazing. I'm definitely glad we saw two of the best characters hanging out together again. Bubbline will love on forever!
I like how the glass people praises marceline for saving them but she only save them because she was mad at bubblegum 😆
“I don’t have a skeleton, but that’s pretty romantic!” Made me genuinely laugh
They've should called it 'Distant Lands: Obsidian is Unbreakable'
Cool but this aint mc nor jojo
@@nova6dave520 well yes, but I kinda don't care if it's neither of them, I made a funny reference, and it seems like people are liking it.

Diamond pickaxe: allow me to introduce myself
I just found this dudes channel recently and I've been loving the content. I've noticed Uncivilized Elk has been going through some stuff though, depression is no fun. Hopefully you're doing good, man I'll be praying for you 👍
12:00 immediately thought of the Finn line "You're only making my face look cooler"
I was thinking of that video as I watched this episode too, it makes far more sense why Marcy's character was the way she was
Yeah it's awesome that you remembered that! I was actually thinking about how this retroactively smooths out her character transition more.
The banana guards throwing spears at marceline really got me
To me it was definitely Marceline playing three people (including Bonnie’s relative reaction) and the NOOOOOOOOO to the ominous disclosure of Marcy managing to overcome her internal issues.
The ooowww, ooowwww, oooowwww that hurrttttssss.
Also, the classic reference to the banana guards yelling, we woo we woo we woo when ever they come to fight
You forgot the part when marcy asked if glass boy, who is unconscious, is breathing. Then pb said "I don't think he breathes". I laughed hahahaha
Interesting how Simon doesn't seem that much older 10-20 years after come along with me. Maybe he dyes his grey hairs. Or maybe he's actually aging slower. l mean people keep calling him "old man"
I feel like Betty golb keeping him safe includes being safe from death
my personal fave was when glass princess broke and tied herself together, a person in the crowd says "she got pants now".
been checking every day since obsidian came out to see if you had commented on it yet, can't wait for the rest!
7:20 Marceline kicked so fast that PB couldn’t react so she still has that surprised look in her face
"I'll be discussing __________ in more detail in a later video"
Famous last words
11:11 not sure if some people got that but "stabber" is used as another word for "top" in a lesbian relationship.
I was literally watching it for the 50th time when your notification popped up lol 💖🖤

Okay can we talk about how Simon is Immortal now?
he isn’t though?

I'm just as EXCITED about your reviews as I am with these new episodes!
can we just appreciate that marciline is a normal sleeper even though shes a vampire while bonnie sleeps like a dead person?
Oh god youre right pb almost always sleeps on her back and its kind of unsettling
She sleeps too “formal”. I forgot the exact word that I’m thinking of.
I just discovered your channel a few days ago and gotta admit I love all your analysis. Was waiting for this one. Let's go!!!
You skipped my favorite comedic moment.
Marcy: “A wave of acceptance has washed over me...”
PB: “... Noooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!”
That part killed me. The timing was so good.
Your reviews make me appreciate Adventure Time even more and I'm sooooo in for it
loving this new format! if anything deserves a more spread out series of analysis', its obsidian
In the bunker there's just a pile of money with a side that says "For toilet paper use only."
I always shipped marciline with Finn
That scene makes me wonder something else.
Even if youre gay, youd probably get embarrassed if your friend and representative just showed up fucking naked one day, and Pb was VERY worried earlier about not being embarrassed in front of the glass people again.
I know by the end of the ep she doesnt care about any of that anymore, since they have broken their looking glass self and stopped mocking people for showing their flaws, but HOW MANY TIMES HAS FINN ENDED UP NAKED for her to have such a resigned reaction?
Does he do this ALL THE TIME?
@@陳逸文-r8e This makes that time where she liked Finn when she was 13 seem weird in hindsight.
I'm excited for the Pep But episode cuz I wanna learn more about how the candy kingdom is doing, especially since PB is not living there all the time
Yea pep but is one of them characters that needed more screen time.
Like nectar or cinnamon bun
i think the episode is gonna take place in wizard city tho
Glass boy's reaction to larvo's transformation being like "aww eww but mostly aww" got me laughing way more than I should😂
Wait I can't be the only one that DIED at "You always look good after fighting a monster" 😳😳😳
"At least they'll find our skeletons entwined" "I don't have skeleton but that sounds pretty romantic"
and
"she's got pants now" were probably my favorites
I am SO EXCITED to see you get into the new post war ruins. I really like how it seems immediately after the mushroom war, humans went back to painting on every surface they came into contact with like we used to in prehistoric times.
Please stop saying Jake is dead, I'm very tired
Is probably true I feel these finn and jake cameos are clearly building to something
Judging on the final episode on distant lands says that you had a falling out for a while this could be in between
Sometimes I can still hear his voice
I really hope he's dead because it would be an awesome narration device
I'm sick of happy endings, someone needs to die from time to time haha
YES I'M SO GLAD YOU MADE THIS VIDEOOO
I love bubbline
You missed the best part of the ending. When Finn's towel flies off and Bubblegum responds with nothing but an 'eh'.
“That guy just fuckin’ died!”
That was my exact quote at that moment lol
Just a puddle of molten glass on the ground 😂
I love the fact that Glass Boy is literally voiced by AMETHYST
I love the deeper exploration of the "moderation" sign. I also never considered that Glassboy pointing out that Woke Up was about PB was actually a meta joke. I just thought Glassboy was being a dick lol
WAIT! ARE YOU THAT GUY FROM TWITTER????
HOLY SHEE-
I REALLY didn't expect to find you here dude
Lol
can we just have a spin off show of these two being wholesome and badass please 🥺
No.
This video helped me find your channel. Can't wait for the next episode
“It feels like a wave of acceptance had washed over me”
“NOOOOOOOOOOOOO”
I think my favorite thing about the entire concept of the special is having the location be the Glass Kingdom filled with glass people represents how everyone has *cracks* but you can always *reflect* on your life.
