I sat under this great man's ministry a couple of times. Once around 1967 he was holding a revival. He prayed for a child that had been a poster child for cerebral palsy. The child walked away without braces or crutches.
This being 2020 it was about 1978 ot 1980 about 38 to 40 years ago Dr. Summeral was again holding a revival when he laid hands on my own child who had been suffering with back pain. He had her sit on the front pew and had her rest her heels in the palm of his hands as he prayed for her healing. It had been her idea to be prayed for. She was 9 or 10 at the time. As he prayed both my daughter and I watched as her shorter leg grew about 1 or 2 inches to match the length of the longer leg. If we both had not seen it we would have been harder to believe it.
The best part of this true story is... she never complained of back pain again. Praise Jehovah God and thank you Jesus for the stripes you took gor our divine healing.

The church will suffer tribulation but not judgement.

The wheat and the tares are those separated for entrance into the kingdom, the parable of the sheep and goats teaches the same thing.
Noah was saved from Gods judgement/wrath, that is the illustration in the typology.
The rapture is gods way of saving us from his judgement, poured out on the wicked.
The rapture is not at the end of the age either.

Angels will gather the Elect. Who are they ? Christians (the Church), Jews and Gentiles who became Christians during Tribulation or only Jews (144 thousands)?
There are a few Raptures in the Bible which correspond to agricultural cycle:
- first fruits - Jesus’ ascension (and potentially Old Testament Saints)
- harvest (Christians during Rapture)
- corners of the field ( Tribulation Saints)

Cares of this world had me like that. I thank God for crisis that caused me to get rid of my vehicle so I have no car payments, no insurance payments, no oil change, registration, licenses payments omg I just take uber to work. Now I have more time to read and study and pray. Thank you Lord

Their is no confusion in Christ, his word is the Word. If you read it he will reveal himself to you. Pray for guidance and wisdom and dont let yourself be bound by a spirit of confusion.
God is not the author of confusion. That confusion comes from the devil.
Take it as a good sign that you need to pray & study so the Spirit will show you what you are confused on. When I run into something like that it drives me to understand rather than skip over it.
"God is not the author of confusion" is referring to speaking in tongues. Jesus had to explain his parables to his own disciples. There are all kinds of mysteries in the bible. Sometimes you will be given insight after the 5th time reading a verse.

Yep, same. God saved me last year, and I soon had a sneaking suspicion that the popular Rapture belief was wrong and that we might actually see the Antichrist and suffer through the Great Tribulation. A few months later, one late night, I pulled my big leather Bible off the shelf, sat down at the kitchen table, and read through Revelation in the dark by candlelight & flashlight. Just me and God, because why not? It's scary and cool. And now it's in my memory like that. I didn't understand all of it that first time, but I understood enough to be left thinking... How do people still believe in Pre-trib after reading this? And where in the world does all the debate and different takes on the Rapture even come from!?
What I read in Revelation seemed very clear, but it wasn't any view I'd ever heard. I found out later that it's called [ Pre-Wrath ] It's a belief that is growing in popularity recently.

STEP ONE to Understanding the Rapture is this!
1/ KNOWING what the Greek word Harpazo means, because Harpazo is the Rapture!
"Harpazo" is a word that ONLY means to be seized and moved from one place to another!
It is very Important to keep this in mind because that is all that this word Harpazo/Rapture means!
The word Harpazo is a word that is found in 13 places in the New Testament and in all places it simply means to be seized and moved from its place!
a. If I were to snatch a dice out of your hand I would be rapturing that Dice! Satan tries to Rapture Gods Word out of our heart!
b. If I were to come to you and seize you and move you I would be Rapturing you! Paul was seized by guards and moved from the Courtyard up to the Roman camp!
c. People tried to Rapture Jesus and make Him King!
d. Phillip was baptising the Eunuch and as they came out of the water God Raptured Phillip and moved him to another town!
e. Jesus was Raptured up to Heaven and sat on the Throne of God many days after His Resurrection.
f. God will not let Satan rapture us out of His Hand!
g. Paul was Raptured to Heaven and was shown many things.
Yes! Rapture/Harpazo ONLY means to be Seized and Moved from one place to another!

@@RaptureofSaints The rapture has something to do with Christ's coming for the Church at the 1st Resurrection. "The dead in Christ shall rise first, then we which are alive (left), and remain shall be 'caught up' together with them on the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord." We will be changed to incorruptible bodies to meet Jesus and the resurrected saints to rule for a 1000 yrs. It's unsensible if we who are alive in Christ will be with the glorified and we still have vile bodies.
The rapture has something to do with the 1st Resurrection. In Rev.20:4 it states that the saints resurrected in the first resurrection will reign and rule for a thousand yrs. It is insensible that the dead in Christ will rise first then we which are alive and remain that will be raptured will meet them, the glorified ones, in the air and be with the Lord with a mortal vile bodies. Dead in Christ and alive in Christ are both 'in Christ'. There must be some justice there.
I just want to rectify something. Jesus ascended into heaven. He was not raptured. It's different. More likely, those who will be raptured will be resurrected. " ...we shall not all sleep but we shall be changed in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, AT THE LAST TRUMP, for the trumphet shall sound, and we shall be CHANGED into INCORRUPTIBLES." So, if this event at the last trump has the idea of changing bodies, is'nt it also sensible to somehow consider that the verse in 1 Thes.4 means the same thing. In 1 Thes.4, Jesus' is the One who'll descend. In 1Cor.15, it was not stated. I believe that these two are different events because in some instances from the gospels, it was stated that at the Great Tribulation, He shall send His angels to gather His elect from the 4 winds of heaven, while on the other hand, it is Jesus. Also, in Rev. 12, if you fully understand it, these two are separate events.
I'm glad that my wife and me was in one of his meetings in OKC. The anointing and glory of God was present.
I saw him in person preaching at a Church I sometimes went to as a teenager in Michigan back in 1992.

I've not doubted the Rapture, however, many are believing a pre tribulation rapture, others a mid tribulation, still others when there is great persecution even unto death, at the last trump. I mostly fear for those who may be very disappointed when things get tough, no food for their babies etc and in turn start to hate or curse Him thinking it's all a lie/fairy tale.

Mat 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

@@dieselcowboy777 The Catholic Church believes in Purgatory. It's a place that they say is the crossroads between the Earth and Hell. They believe at that place you can get a second chance to get things right when you die. It's crazy as well as praying to Mary or one of the disciples to petition God for you.
I love this mans ministry. But in-depth study has lead me from pre mill to post mill.
I don’t go to Church, mainly because of known hypocrisy and false doctrines in the only religion I am comfortable with, which is Baptist. They are not all like this, but the one that is close to me, is. I have disabilities also. So...does this prevent me from being raptured? I am saved, and I speak to him daily. I also spread the gospel here on UA-cam and other online media, again, mainly due to my disabilities. I have talked about this in my prayer, so he knows. I sit here however, not knowing. The first resurrection must happen before the believers who are alive are 'raptured' is true. In Revelation 20:4, we get a description of the people in the first resurrection. This resurrection includes those who refused to worship the beast and to take the mark of the beast. This shows us that the first resurrection has to happen after the mandate of the mark of the beast is implemented. It can't happen before that.
It also says that the 144,000 Jewish men who are sealed are the firstfruits of Jesus. They are first, not us.
@ADD Daniel, if something is not in any verse, then most probably that "something" happening in that verse.
Revelation 20: 4. And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
In the above verse, it's only those who were beheaded for the witness for Jesus. They did not worship the beast nor received his mark. Nobody was caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, either. And lastly, Jesus already returned in Rev 19: 11-21. So no, there's no way rapture is happening in Rev 20: 4.
Revelation 20:4 is the first resurrection of the dead. The Church is not dead. We can also see that the redeemed are in Heaven at the throne before the Lamb opens the first seal. Revelation 5:9
The GT is for the Jews (Daniel 9:24) but will come on everyone left on earth. Luke 21:35-36 says it will come on everyone on earth, but pray you are found worthy to escape. How do we escape if not GET OFF THE EARTH (rapture)?

He didn't quote 1 thessalonians 4:15 where it says those that are still alive at the coming of the Lord. We know when He is coming. After the great tribulation. There's more scripture that shows us He will not come for His people until after the tribulation. He seals His people so that the wrath doesn't effect them. Also revelation 20:4

Jesus said we will go through tribulation. We are not special in that aspect.
Not sure why there's a controversy over when the Church is removed from the earth. Jesus was clear, and gave warnings of what the Great Tribulation period would be like, to prepare his followers. Unfortunately, due to ongoing bad doctrines taught, many won't be ready for those days. Well...at least if they make it through, the won't be here during God's wrath.
According to Yes’hayah Christ there’s no rapture folks. He said it will be like days of Noah. After much research he will return after 7 trumpet.
So the bible say Jesus comes back a 2nd time . and Lester says he comes back a second AND a 3rd time . but the scripture categorically does NOT say that . that part of the sermon is "opinion" nothing more

There’s no reason for controversy. Jesus clearly stated, “immediately AFTER the tribulation of those days…then shall come the sign of the son of man…then shall he send his angles to…then one shall be taken and one shall be left.” All of which occur-immediately AFTER the tribulation of those days.

"The Rapture" is basically the end of the world as we know it. That is when the Earth shall be consumed, the dead in Christ shall rise to meet him in the air after the trumpet sounds and he descends on the clouds, those living that are saved will ascend. The unsaved will face judgement at that time and receive eternal punishment for their evil deeds and rejection of salvation.
We don't have Apostle or Father's in the faith like Doc. Lester Sumrall

Realize this though that Jesus is coming a third time and not a second. Jesus came a second time as He told those around Him in Matthew chapter twenty four.
Jesus was seen over Jerusalem in AD 70 with thousands of angels as written about by the then present day historians Romulus, Josephus and Tacticus. This event was a historical fact.
Jesus is coming back a third time to wrap everything up at the end of the world.
To be sure that we will be raptured, we must follow to the best that we can, by God's grace, all of Jesus' commandments. So we must know and understand it first, all of God's will in the Bible. Rev. 12: "He make war with the remnant of her SEED, (the Man-Child that will be caught up, the Church), who keeps the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ, (which is the Spirit of prophecy of Rev.19). If the remnant is the description stated, so is the the seed Man-Child, because they are both the same since they were all begotten by the same Woman of Rev.12:1. May all of those who will read this be enlightened.

Believing in the rapture isnt the issue, its when... the book of Job is 42 chapters and he is blessed at the end, could the chapters represent months? The Lord is funny that way, Jesus's ministry was 3 1/2 years, not sure but I lean towards a mid tribulation rapture. Just my thoughts, all the glory to the Lord

hey Dino, I can tell you from the clothing and hairstyles this was from 1985.....the teachings are of course ....timeless !
He has added to many qualifications for the rapture...there is only one qualification for Salvation. The belief in the Gospel of Jesus and His sacrifice for us on the Cross, His resurrection and ascension to sit at the right hand of the Father.
Anything added to the gospel as qualifications is a false gospel.

For salvation you only need faith in Christ and believe in the gospel of Jesus, his death and resurrection. To get rapture you need to be ready like Jesus said. Praying without cease. In holiness and peace and not be practicing sin.

You are talking about an ageless debate. Grace vs works. To put it simply works have nothing to do with salvation however salvation without works is also dead. I see too many Christians sitting in a pew week after week and year after year living for themselves and not denying them self in the least bit. They have never given their time their money or especially their hearts over to the Lord. It has been taught too widely that a simple repeating of a sinner’s prayer is all that you need and you are good to go. That is not true and that is what is misleading too many people nowadays and is going to end up with them standing before the judgment seat of God and him saying “departI never knew you.” There has to be a balance in preaching grace only.

Anyone who thinks the Rapture(taken by force) isn't biblical needs to learn about the first Judgement(Flood) and Enoch. 7th man 7 churches name means dedicated just like a bride is dedicated to her husband. The world was corrupt so Enoch lived separate from the world as we are told to Enoch followed and walked in all of Gods ways as We are to follow and walk with Jesus everyday picking up our cross.Ecclesiastes 1:9 9 What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun. Enoch is the church Noah is the Remnant and Lot is those last chance bears who listen and obey not looking back somehow surviving. Each one a picture in how God works a forecast of what is to come and God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow we have been told the end from the beginning and from ancient times the things that are not yet done (Isaiah 46:10) People in the old testament thought they new it all and relied on there understanding rather then faith they were wrong and that is what is happening now people are trusting there understanding rather then having faith in the word. So at what point are you calling God a liar when you say the rapture isn't scriptural?
Enoch's and Noah's times were the worst so far cause of fallen angels interacting directly with men and Jesus said Mathew 24 "like in the days of Noah". Enoch and Noah lived thru the darkest times and judgment so the remnant will in apocalyptic times and at the end the Lord will appear to get his faithful ones in what some people call the rapture but it is His second coming actually. I think!!
@@edho758 There is clearly two events spoken of one that happens that no one will see it is a silent event then when Jesus comes it will be like a flash of lightning from the east to the west a massive event you cant miss. I fear you have missed the example given we the church are Enoch we will be taken by God before the destruction (flood) the remnant Jews will be protected from destruction just like Noah was protected in the Ark aka a prepared place. When i say church i mean true followers of Jesus not some place people attend out of habit once a week or because they follow the words of men rather then the words of God and that is where disagreements happen.

There’s no ‘secret rapture’
The rapture will be seen by the world, and there is only one rapture and resurrection of the bride.
Enoch is just a type, used to illustrate the rapture, just like Noah, the exodus, 70ad etc.
I think your reading too much into it, there’s no way you can prove from scripture what you interpret concerning Noah , Enoch and lot.
Typology only illustrates doctrine, we don’t make doctrine from type.
That breaks the rules of interpretation.
@@spiritofelijah5386 before John Darby in 1830 there seems to be no pretrib rapture doctrine even though there were great bible scholars. It seems that the first time bible readers will never find it either. To me the so called rapture and the second coming of the Lord are the same and so the church will go thru the apocaliptic tribulation and the remnant("Adam's rib", not His whole body) will do mighty exploits to then later be taken up to battle the devil and his own

The confusion is only understood when you separate the purposes of god for Israel and the purposes of God for the church.
They both are saved ultimately in the end but the paths are slightly different towards Gods judgement.
Israel will go through Gods wrath because of the unpardonable sin and rejection of the messiah, the church will not.
God will begin refocusing on the nation of Israel during the 70th week of Daniel, this is the last 7yrs of this age before the millennium.
The clock stopped at the death of Jesus and will restart at the peace covenant with antichrist.
Jesus had one condition for his return for israel. Their acknowledgement of him as messiah.
This happens in Zech chapters 12-14.
Jesus is both the bridegroom of the church and the messiah of the Jews, he has to return for both, this happens on 2 separate occasions.
The church are rescued first,before wrath, and the Jews are rescued(only a remnant) at the end.
Gods covenants are all with israel, the church has no covenants.
He returns in the air(rapture) signs in the sun and moon.
He returns to bozrah, then Jerusalem (for the Jews) with the church.
You are correct about the pre tribulation rapture doctrine, it wasn’t taught by the apostles and early church at all.
It makes no sense and there are no scriptures to validate it.
Nicholas there's no if's. The church ( born again believers ) is NOT GOING THRU TRIBULATION.
GOD is not going to pour His wrath upon His Bride, no way.

Tribulation is not wrath.
Tribulation is persecution/affliction.
Wrath is Gods anger in judgement on the unbelievers.
The two words are not the same.
There’s nowhere it says faithful believers escape tribulation.
We escape wrath, because Gods wrath was poured out on Jesus for us.

The judgement of God comes after tribulation .
Great tribulation simply means more intense persevution and afflictions.
Jesus returns after this period for his bride. Math 24v31.
Wrath is not poured out until the trumpet judgements.

God will shorten those days lest no flesh survive mat 24:22

Im old enough to remember hearing Lester Sumrall say "the Lord told him that He would RETURN... in his lifetime"... so did he misunderstand the Lords meaning??? and the Lord would come for Lester at his death...and so the Lord did..but it was a personal Rapture...and NOT a secret rapture of the Church.... that is unBiblical...the Time of Jacob's Trouble was 70AD ..the dead that rose first were the 1 million Israelites that were "Raptured"...and later when the Believer dies they are caught up to be with the Lord forever
