My father bought this camera when it first released along with the EF 50mm f/1.2L USM, I didn't really use it much as I wasn't a big fan of the big body DSLR cameras and found myself buying an a6300 last year which I am hoping to upgrade to an a7iii. Really never knew the potential of the 5D MK2 until stumbling upon this video.
@@Saturn-jm7in I also own a a6300 and I hope to upgrade to a7iii at some point too. Newer cameras are sharper, faster, and more efficient. But if you can shoot with a a6300, you can also shoot with an older camera. And older cameras have different feels and specs that will change the way you shoot. It really is a journey
@@FlorentBraquart You are seriously correct! Never really thought about how it might change the way how I shoot until now. I do want to pick up the 5D MK2 and probably will use it later on with future projects.
I recently bought this camera. And I can confirm all the cons are true jajaj Sometimes I feel like my phone has better low light performance, but I enjoy shooting with it. It makes you think before pressing the button. I was thinking about other cameras but it is what I can afford at the moment.
Nice review man! But I have to add that there IS a viewfinder on the camera, it's just not digital but rather an optical viewfinder. Digital viewfinders came many years later and is more of a staple of mirrorless cameras. However, you can shoot on "live view" (sort of like having the viewfinder on the screen) and enable exposure simulation through the camera settings. Oh yes you are right I tried to shoot with the LCD screen on and use it as a Digital ViewFinder, but it didn't allow me to use auto focus though. Might have a hidden setting somewhere. I'm gonna check cheers man ! Appreciate it
The point of a dslr is the viewfinder. It’s like you never even touched the device. I’d take this video down and reupload. You can’t talk about the 5D and start with no view finder. You really can’t.
If u crank down the shutter speed it produces well lit images, but yeah I agree you must atleast know something about basic photography to fully utilize this camera
Don't buy Compact Flash Cards !!! Buy a CF -> SD adapter card. They are about $10 and let you use SD cards. ALSO .... the 5D mk2 has TWO viewfinders, the optical VF and the Live View VF on the LCD screen. I don't know how you can own this camera for a month and not understand about Live View.

U should have said "No Electronic viewfinder" as DSLR's have "Optical Viewfinder".
