she embodies the feeling i get by watching twin peaks and she’s a fan of lynch herself, and she’s taken some of his works as an inspiration for her music ;)
im so certain lana watched twin peaks or at least some david lynch movies cause their world views, characters, stories are so similar i love it!!!!
she definitely has! she has worn an audrey, donna and shelly t shirt! if you look up “lana del rey twin peaks” you’ll see it!
also, a lot of references to twin peaks and other lynch’s works in her songs. naming a song “wild at heart” just like lynch’s 1990 movie starring laura dern (diane). also, sad girl’s lyric “he’s got the fire and he walks with it” is a clear reference to “fire walk with me”.
@@girlfrmars OMG im so so so happy for that!!! lana has been one of my favourite artists for so long and david lynch is definitely my fave director and writer!! ive been so convinced that shes a fan of david lynch. also she sang the cover of blue velvet and the video for it is so lynchian too!! the way they describe woman-man romantic relationships are so similar. in ultraviolence the “he hit me and it felt like a kiss” is also so similar to dorothy in blue velvet. also the way they both love 1960s american vintage is amazing too!! thank you for letting me know!!!

Coffee in the USA is the worst (diner or Starbucks type). Classic pies contain fake butter (margarine) and excessive amounts of sugar. Yes, all these have sentimental value but from the food perspective they are not worth it😊
