I love what Gordon said when God spoke to him “When you learn how to master this discomfort, you’ll be ready for what’s next.” That is exactly what I needed to hear.

Gordon definitely needed Martha as his wife/purpose partner. He led from a more broader perspective and she narrowed it down and gave clarity on the subject matter. Great episode and great teamwork you guys.

Great message and I love the ending. I am 49, I 've never been married. I've been abstinenant now going on 20 years (this year) and my tag line is "God's way is not punishment, it's protection." So Amen to what Gordon said at the end. It's definitely not punishment. There is a blessing in every situation. I definitely desire to be married but until then🙋🏿‍♀️, have your way Lord. 🙏🏿🙏🏿

I have one request/suggestion: PLEASE TAKE THIS IN LOVE. Will y'all (Martha & Mary) PLEASE stop saying that that man thought he was going to marry Mary? Yall are twins and u prob have a great bit of similarities. He was young (early 20's WITH OPTIONS. 2 GOORRRGEOUS young ladies, MMM-KAY!) But he has made a sound, conscious decision of his wife. Please let that be. Now this is JUST MY BELIEF: I BELIVE . . . that you all can express, discuss & have conversation about how you met without mentioning that part.
It's not his fault that God allowed him to have 1st dibs at the pickings. 🥰 He was tested to pick wisely. & I got to give the man props . . . He did excelente. Beyond the outward appearance, God exposed the heart of the one that was for HIM. . . Martha. Mary's heart was for Bubba. 🥰 We love y'all! THANK Y'ALL FOR SHARING Y'ALLS HEARTS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE ON THESE TOPICS. THEY'RE GREAT!

Praise God, this was a beautiful message for singles!!! And you both gave many good examples and explanations of how to be successful and happy. Gordon, you are soo right, as a single woman, much older, I meet men in grocery stores, shopping, at restaurants, and at galleries (art). And some are Christian, and God reveals them, and some aren’t. I believe dressing intentionally, ladies put on a dress/ skirt, SMILE , and wearing confidence all matters!!! And be alone sometimes, men approach women who are ALONE and approachable. And don’t behave desperate, date, and please KEEP YOUR LEGS CLOSED!!! Thanks Mr. and Mrs. Dove, y’all are AWESOME 😘

Yoooooooo this Podcast was so fire. Gordon you were so good on so many points. I know exactly what you were saying when you said women should also look outside the church. You’re not saying go into bars or clubs but you’re saying be opened where ever you are to meet someone. Because there are men who are Godly that may not go to church every Sunday. I’m so super happy you have said this. Oh and by the way we need a part 2 on this subject. I thank God that y’all are bringing something fresh to the podcast world where it’s so saturated with people who are saying nothing. God bless the both of you❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

This soooo good!!🙌 I’ve been raised by a great Father, and there’s definitely a standard us Daddy’s girls have. Not that we look for that exact same thing, but it’s a standard we have and that we carry, because we’ve seen what responsibility, a protector and someone who has the capacity to hold his wife and his kids down. Our fathers were RESPONSIBLE.

Gordon brought wisdom. As a woman that had my father in my life, my whole life, I realize that relationship impacted how I relate to my life partner. How I view marriage/union and conflict, is different from many of the women I know that didn't have a relationship with their fathers.

I really enjoyed this conversation. I noticed how the conversation started with Gordon sharing that he had to change his perspective this season, and then at the end of the podcast, the final point was an invitation for us single ladies to change our perspective on singleness. I like how God rounded that out. Martha, your point on two wholes coming together was powerful. Thanks for this episode y'all. Keep letting God use you!

Such a great topic! You guys gave great input. Gordon I love the fact that you said all women are attractive in their own way and men wants them to own it! Also that they are looking for emotional, intelligence. As well as a lot of women are looking for men who are 100% together…as long as they know or are business minded and have the potential and capability to make it happen. You also mentioned that a man who a woman may not pay attention to can pray the house down! They may miss out just because he doesn’t look like what they want.
Martha you’re right, we as women want to be heard and want to emotionally express ourselves. Also you said 2 halves don’t make a whole…very powerful. You guys are so right, we all have baggage but we can’t allow the baggage to follow us. Martha you said singleness is the time for you to work on yourself and may I add this is a time for you to prepare for marriage by getting to know who you are, dating yourself and perhaps even changing our wardrobe! You guys were amazing!! Love it😇

Dove is SPOT ON about trying to find that man in the pews. Bc STRAIGHT UP, some of them have the church language but in REAL LIFE, they DO NOT LIVE IT!!! There are REAL men that are not in the church bc in their heart, they don't want to play with God! And in REAL LIFE, they are living more holy than those IN the church! Bc they BELIEVE in God!
    THAT WAS VERY GOOD, DOVE!

I can say I definitely thought that getting married would be the solution to ALL my problems but 7 years later, I still battle with the same issues I had coming in. I am not sure if you all could have a discussion on being married and unequally yoked? If you could I would be so grateful or if you could respond back to me with any scriptures or good counselors for my situation that would be helpful as well. Blessings to you both!

I learned a great lesson ! BE CAREFUL for the one's in church just like Gordon said. I was approached by a guy at Church and he tried to deceive me soo bad. He Ran out of church early the time I usually leave. Let me tell you, I did a little church tap, we stepped outside, and I let him know respectfully using the Word of God that I AM not the one to play with 😂. A grown man in his 30s fooling around when I say I dealt with players but trying to play a game in church ? That's another level of disgust. Months later, hiding in church because he don't want to be seen but lying that he "hasn't seen me" the situation of being that the church was in different buildings due to renovation but that's not an excuse. He pops out of nowhere as if it's a fellowship moment. I kept the talk short and left it at a "Have a good week" and walked away from him.

This is great you guys...love the topic. If I may add. A man who loves God and is sold out to live every part of his Being for God, the VERY FIRST thing he is looking at is her spirit. How she loves God and his people. His first attraction to her is her walk with God. I understand men are visual, however, a mature Man of God has bypassed the look dept and is interested in her spirit first. He wants someone to walk out his life in God with. If she is a woman to serve God and his people she is already taking care of herself and her appearance because she is representing God. He has matured to the point where he realized what values are first. As far as men in the world...really we shouldn't be giving advice to single women about them. Our goal as saints is to lead the single women to a more relationship with Abba and then they find that man that is looking for her in God...I hope this will help someone

It was me, I didn't like Gordon at all and I actually got really angry every time I saw him because he didn't come across genuine and his behaviour was strange towards his wife, maybe they were fighting behind the scenes but I could feel the vibes were very off with him only and also what annoyed me was how he wore shades all the time for no reason to hide his eyes meaning hide his soul/true feelings. But watching him now with this podcast, maybe he's changed or putting in an effort now, but it does feel a bit better he's being more authentic now

Excellent conversation. Speaking from my own experience, a lady could come from a healthy home life with her having a healthy connection with the male role models.
However, if said young lady begins to date men whom they did not seek GODs guidance to be connected, that can lead to dead in relationship thus causing her to have a skewed view of men.
It's important to take a look at one's choices to see where the negative view is coming. Allow GOD to show us who we are, then in his time and if its his will the right Man will see her. 🧡🌺
