    Thanks for the video.
    How we can differentiate between the dead microscopic organism protozoans and microplastic particles in the Images?

      Thank you for your question.
      The differentation is done based on the spectral data.
      The spectal fingerprint of microorganisms is different from those of synthetic polymers.

    Can FTIR assess for microplastic concentration in the sample?

    Is that the atr-ftir method? How is it different from ftir?

    • @Bruker
      @Bruker  3 роки тому

      ATR is a measurement technique to acquire FT-IR data, just like transmission or reflectance measurements. If you want to know more about ATR check out our ATR basics video: ua-cam.com/video/q0evGXCK-sY/v-deo.html

    A nice upgrade but still the software + Lumos isn't avle to record full resolution tiles + simple image correction as vignetting removal. Hopefully the polarizing filters are at least heat protected.

      Dear Mr. Popa thank you for your feedback.
      The LUMOS II collects high quality images of large areas at full resolution for almost any application. An integrated flatfield correction can be used to even out any vignetting artifacts.
      It is equipped with low energy consuming white light LED illumination that does not damage the polarizers in any way. Additionally, it has a standby mode that turns off the illumination when it is not in use.
      If you already own a LUMOS (or plan to) and have further questions or concerns, please contact our support. We’ll be happy to help you out!
      Sincerely,
      Your Bruker Optics Team
