    it's very interesting to hear a speech like this, rather than reading it on paper. I wonder what would happen if a history professor in a U.S. university were to play this for students and encourage discussion, debate, or whatever. Most American students have never heard or read anything from the German leadership of WW2 except bits and pieces of Hitler on t.v. speaking only in German, with few or no subtitles.

      Berlin and Hamburg had public Fernsehstuben, aka television facilities, ever since 1935 or 1936. They were a bit like public cinemas (and preferred by the poorer parts of the population because admittance was free), only that the screen in front of the audience was a lot smaller. By 1940, the Reichspost (German mail service) had experimental 1,000 line television ready in their R&D laboratories (though actual public broadcasts were limited to something like 300 lines up until the end of the war), and after the invasion of France, the Germans set up a huge TV antenna on top of the Eiffel tower (which was removed once the Allies re-captured Paris in 1944 or 1945) in order to transmit signals from France to Berlin and Hamburg. Also, the German Wehrmacht (mainly the navy) used the technology for an early version of radio-controlled cruise missiles.

      Bad data, yes. Germans did perform better when adjusted for population differences and did indeed have superior infantry until the later ends of the war. The Soviets were getting insane amount of aid from the Americans.
      Hermann Balck defeated an entire soviet army with his one division. He led the 11th panzer division in the southern part of the eastern front at case blue when soviet counter-offensive successfully encircled the entire 6th army at Stalingrad and the front started to crumble
      After encircling Stalingrad the soviets then tried to achieve a breakthrough near the Dnieper using the 5th tank army. They met Hermann Balck's division there. He led his division from the front and parried every attacking the soviets there and, a quote from the Wikipedia here:
      "The Soviets commanded a local superiority of 7:1 in tanks, 11:1 in infantry, and 20:1 in artillery. Leading from the front, Balck was able to quickly react to each enemy thrust. He repeatedly parried, surprised, and wiped out superior Soviet detachments. His motto was "Night marches save blood." Through a series of encounters his ability to make use of maneuver allowed his single panzer division to destroy piecemeal the much larger Soviet forces. Over the next few months his division would garner an astonishing one thousand enemy tank kills. For this and other achievements Balck was made one of only twenty-seven officers in the entire war who received the Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves, Swords, and Diamonds.``

New generations have no clue of the sacrifices that were made by these men, women and children to fight for our freedom today even though I will stop there I will let you read between the lines. "Speech of Reichsführer-SS Heinrich Himmler
    at Posen 4 October 1943"
    Translated by Carlos Porter has 53 pages. Seeing that the video is over 3 hours long, it seemed to me that it was too long, which was confirmed by the repetition of fragments.
    Replacing the word "weed out" with the word "exterminate" or "murder" is a typical manipulation, as anyone who thinks for themselves can see.

    • @tlatosmd
      @tlatosmd 2 місяці тому

      Himmler did mean mass murder with clear genocidal intention whenever he said "ausrotten" in regards to the Jews here. It's why he's praising his men here that they have remained "decent" in spite of having piled up thousands of Jewish corpses many a time. He shows little regard for all non-Aryan life in this speech overall, also telling his listeners to harden their hearts against compassion for Slavic women: "If they need to die in order for an anti-tank trench in service of Germany to be completed, then so be it!"

    • @tlatosmd
      @tlatosmd 2 місяці тому +3

      And as for the repetions, the original speech was recorded on wax disks, each one holding only about 5-10 minutes. In order for them to record longer speeches without losing anything, the recording on the next disk had to start a few seconds before the prior one ended recording. It's a technique originally pioneered to record the German Reichstag parliament's sessions on wax disk in the early 1930s.

Because it appears to be quite an open discussion of genocide, and yet I've never once heard it cited at the Nuremburg Trials as the damning evidence it would be. They quite literally did. The only issue was in Ukraine, the leader they put over there was terrible, even Goebbels called it a grave mistake. Other than that, they opened hundreds of Orthodox Churches and even took many of them on their retreat from the Eastern Front.

      Well.. as an American Anglo and a lover of history, I am very disappointed in our ancestors for fecklessly working against their own peoples interests.. and now all of Western Civilization is being sabotaged by traitors and these vile creatures we now know are behind so many lies and are pulling strings to open our borders to the third world..
      I always wanted a noble cause to die for.. I suppose we have it. It would be stupid to act alone.. we ought to come together now and get on with the glorious retribution. Here in America we have our arms still.. maybe if we can take back our own, as unlikely as it may be.. I would be fine with coming to Europe to liberate my brothers. Hypothetically that is.. however the hour is late.. we would need to get going now, if I had my way.

    "The only people in the world who have a decent attitude towards animals will also be decent to these human animals." - when talking about enslaving others. It's crazy how people can always believe they are doing the right thing. Hearing it in English humanizes him, and it's even surprising just how intellectual he sounds because Nazis are these cartoonishly evil people in the West, but hearing this challenges you to think more critically.
    Thanks for uploading and I look forward to more of these. Mao Zedeng, Deng Xiaoping and some other cultural revolution Chinese would be great and even just some modern politics would be good. Tucker Carlson's interview with Putin was very enlightening for many and if you could get some Putin, Lavrov, Modi, Xi Jinping, Wang Yi or Kim interviews that would be great. It would force people to think and not just accept these simple good verse evil narratives.
