I was 16. My skin was smooth. My hair was full. The world was my oyster. My friends were many and we had a great time. Never thinking about the future. Never afraid. I miss those days and this movie and soundtrack captures it all. It's a symbol of what was. Whenever I hear it I get nostalgic.

I was more than 16 when this was out but I was once 16 and experienced much of the emotions expressed. I’m now 68, bald, suffering from many physical ailments and my many friends are now few but I can truly say it was a rollercoaster of a life! I fall in love with this song when i listened for first time. Definitely it was one of the most important theme in the 80´s and still on the top for eternity. I knew Tina Turner because of my mother loves her music. This version is pure and great, another versions which cuts specially at the begining of this song are not like this. I love how is starting. Love love love Tina Turner, many thanks for your art and living in the same age as you. RIP in heaven. Your voice is always living.
Tina Turner's story is one of the most iconic in music. She reinvented herself at just the right time to become a legend. Just shows what getting away from the wrong people and connecting with the right ones can do.....

Everybody thinks they grew up when music was the best, but it was always good until this mumble rap shit fuck the new generation and their permed mushroom haircuts
This song came out the year I entered military service. I am retired now, but in this one song it captures the desperate plight of mankind, the heroic efforts of a small number of people trying to make the world right, the realization that no amount of heroics can fix the mess we are in, and a faint hope for the future.
Hard to believe I was 18 when this dropped, and I miss the 80's everyday... The USA is a totally different place in so many ways, one of them is population: There are nearly 100 million more people here now... That's like an added CA, TX, and FL, 2021 populations COMBINED!!!
@@johnyguitar258 I agree. There’s plenty of space and land for people. Power hungry corporations and governments make it seem that we don’t have enough resources. We have plenty.
I would do everything in my power if I could, just to return to the eighties and live there forever. I will live in a time-loop that takes me from 1980-1990 and then back again until the end of time. This was hand's down the best decade ever, nothing has come close to it ever since.
Agreed. Is it possible that in fact you are already doing exactly as you suggest? Just you having said that makes it more likely. You may remember something, you may not. Either way it's going to be great. See you next time around.
I love this! I had both the instrumental and the one with Tina Turner, but this is awesome to put both together. One of my favorite songs of all time. Reminds me of my mother who just recently passed. We used to watch this movie when I was a kid all the time.
I was 8 years old when this came out and remember listening to this in the car on the way to school. Miss those days so much. Finally found this version on you tube. Thanks for the upload brilliant song brilliant film brilliant memories of a much better time....
I'm so thankful for the way things were when I grew up. I loved all of these mad max movies. In a way, we could feel that the future would be difficult. We prepared for it. But we enjoyed the times we had , good times and stress free. Now we weep for you the world and what the enemies of the world have done to you. Divided you. Made you starve, suffer, lose your job, face jail time.
Still love this one. maybe the lyrics were a bit overlooked, but it's a great song..to tell the truth it was really hard to come across a bad pop song on the radio in 1985...

Till this day there's no decade that can outclass the sounds of the 80's
@mark maietta yes, this 21 century sucks
60's, especially 60's Motown
Everybody thinks they grew up when music was the best, but it was always good until this mumble rap shit fuck the new generation and their permed mushroom haircuts
Bullshit it can be great but the enthusiasm isnt there

Tina deserves respect, this is an amazing tune
¡¡ Inolvidable !!
Oh gosh my heart!! Love this version!! Thank you!!
This song came out the year I entered military service. I am retired now, but in this one song it captures the desperate plight of mankind, the heroic efforts of a small number of people trying to make the world right, the realization that no amount of heroics can fix the mess we are in, and a faint hope for the future.
she´s singing for the angels now, but we will never forget her voice. rip tina!
Tina turner is one of the best hope her songs still go on
Um clássico! Saudades das fugidas do colégio p ir ao cinema...Cine Vila Rica...Botucatu/SP/BRAZIL 😍👏👏👏
RIP Tina. Much love.
One of the best extended version I've ever heard. No doubt about a forever classic. Thanks for the upload
Excelente versão. Adorei. Que saudade dos meus anos 80!!!! Só filmaços e musicaços. Hoje é só lixo!
When I was in law enforcement I listened to this when driving to work. Makes you think about the important aspects of your life.
Hard to believe I was 18 when this dropped, and I miss the 80's everyday... The USA is a totally different place in so many ways, one of them is population: There are nearly 100 million more people here now... That's like an added CA, TX, and FL, 2021 populations COMBINED!!!
Overpopulation ruined America's air, land and seas. It puts a huge strain on our daily lives.
@@AJFar-tm7dn what an idiotic thing to say
@@johnyguitar258 I agree. There’s plenty of space and land for people. Power hungry corporations and governments make it seem that we don’t have enough resources. We have plenty.
I would do everything in my power if I could, just to return to the eighties and live there forever. I will live in a time-loop that takes me from 1980-1990 and then back again until the end of time. This was hand's down the best decade ever, nothing has come close to it ever since.
Me TOOOOOOOO
@Val Venus never sell my soul
Agreed. Is it possible that in fact you are already doing exactly as you suggest? Just you having said that makes it more likely. You may remember something, you may not. Either way it's going to be great. See you next time around.
Amen!!! 60 this year and my thoughts exactly. The crap they have now is garbage. All who agree thumbs up/comment please.
Me to man.
I loved the cassette I used to play in my car for 30 years ago. ❤️
We'll miss you Tina, God rest your soul. You were the heart of this movie.
I love this! I had both the instrumental and the one with Tina Turner, but this is awesome to put both together. One of my favorite songs of all time. Reminds me of my mother who just recently passed. We used to watch this movie when I was a kid all the time.
Deusa! Que sua volta ao Olimpo seja repleta de bem aventuranças, Tina Turner! Gratidão eterna por tudo o que você nos legou com sua voz maravilhosa!
I was 8 years old when this came out and remember listening to this in the car on the way to school. Miss those days so much. Finally found this version on you tube. Thanks for the upload brilliant song brilliant film brilliant memories of a much better time....
Mad max , Gibson is still the man.
@@andrewscott371 always will be
What a song. This should've hit the world charts for at least a month!
One word: MASTERPIECE.
Great job!!!

Almost the perfect song!
This song is still as true today as it was in 1985 when this song first came out. All we want is Life Beyond Thunderdome.
Terrence Ragin, All we want is beyond Flat Earth.
it was kind of Hook Movie with real violence
Here you can listen to a 1979 Klingon Turntable made in USSR playing Tina Turner Thunderdome ua-cam.com/video/qMVHjfo0MEM/v-deo.html&t
Beyond tyranny of the Illuminati Beast System. The Antichrist wants to be Christ Jesus. 2Thess.1:4.
Maybe Daniel Craig.
Still love this one. maybe the lyrics were a bit overlooked, but it's a great song..to tell the truth it was really hard to come across a bad pop song on the radio in 1985...
