World climbing festival in the Manikia Evia Island

Hundreds of climbers from all over the world filled the rocky slopes of the English Channel in Evia, from 12 to 15 May last year, to take part in the Petzl RocTrip World Climbing Festival 2022. With this event, the climbing routes in the English Channel will be known all over the planet, making Evia one of the most important tourist destinations.
The beginning was made in 2015 when the Municipality of Kymi Aliveri hosted and guided French climbers, who discovered the imposing rocks in the Manikia-Vrysi area and the wider Kymi area. So far about 750 routes have been made and the goal is for many more.
