This was a masterfully made video commentary about Aeryn Sun. It reinforces just how brilliant this show was, how perfectly cast it was, how deep and meaningful it was, and how it was so much more than just another TV show. I loved Aeryn Sun from the first time I watched this series and now I am reminded again that I still love her. On a side note, I don't think there will be more Farscape. On the one hand I feel sad about it, on the other hand, if the show did come back and wasn't as good as the original, it would leave a bit of a stain on Farscape's legacy. A one-off movie with the original cast (where possible) with a magnificent script would be great but I doubt even that will happen. We were lucky to get The Peacekeeper Wars. Back to this video about Aeryn Sun... very impressive. Thanks!
For years I've been wanting farscape to return I'm afraid so much time has passed the only way would be how star trek did it and go with a motion picture....god I miss this show
I loved Aeryn. Not only did she learn more about herself through her friends, I believe she also taught them to see the person she really was not just a Peacekeeper and that helped them see each other and other people in different light
To think that even the fatalistic Rygel was so hit by her death in the end of season two that he put his souvereign insignia into her coffin! And the turning of Chiana from a scared runaway into a fearless badass fighter also has to do with Aeryn´s good example. This character had a considerable impact on the others.

Without a doubt ! Without This character, is the most interesting one . They focused too much on John’s character and often, it lacked excitement! So, without Aeryn’s antics and story, I would have never watched this series, to the last episode ! And today, I still watch this series occasionally… (yes, got it on tape)!
I'd never thought of the main character and pivotal character being different, but now that I think about it, that happens a lot. Wow. That's an eye opener, thank you.
Excellent commentary on an excellent show. In my view, the John Crighton/ Aeryn Sun romance depicted in this show is one of the best relationship arcs in Sci Fi. I'm a huge fan of Claudia Black and i think its important to remember that when she did this work starting in '99 there weren't that many females kicking ass the way she did (except Sigourney Weaver in Alien) and none that managed to pair that capability with a huge loving heart. She and Browder really did a beautiful job portraying an imperfect loving couple.
Thanks. You make a great observation that Claudia was doing what she was doing at a time when women characters were still not welcome to be the strongest person on screen.
@@FarscapeContinues , I remember seeing her in "Pitch Black" where she played a somewhat similar character. There, she was (much to my annoyance) promptly killed off, while the meek blond (who realistically would have died first in such a setting) survived. Seeing her return in Farscape shortly after was a blast!
I don't think she wanted to come back to Moya after leaving Moya Critchen. I think that was something Scorpius had to convince her to do since he wanted Critchen and he was the only one that could help her. And if she DID come back only because of Scorpy, that seems a bit selfish. When I first saw the episode, I thought the heat delirium was being caused by the human child as a side effect, but no, it was because she was dying after a failed assassination attempt. Wish it had gotten fleshed out a bit more than it did
Your videos are crap with no real content -- just an idiot saying stupid stuff to random graphics. If you actually wrote intelligent narratives and produced actually meaningful content, you'd have to work at it. Quality takes time. You'd get more viewers too. Because I have three times more subscribers and 20 times more views than you. Funny that.

Aeryn and John were the best on-screen couple that I have seen. Loved their story arc and their chemistry.
A great audiovisual essay to explain the definition of a pivotal character!
Aeryn is the true star of Farscape. Like John said once, she is the center of his universe.
For years I've been wanting farscape to return I'm afraid so much time has passed the only way would be how star trek did it and go with a motion picture....god I miss this show
Whatever it will be, they are working on it right now!

Agreed.
One character alone could not have achieved that. It was just a great team!

The idea suddenly came to me one day. I've learned a lot from Farscape.
@@FarscapeContinues I'd say we all have.

Do you think Aeryn is the best female character in sci-fi, better than Ripley, Delenn or Leia?
Aeryn would definitely be up there in the best of all time, but I always hesitate to say that one person os THE best at anything. :)
37 hours? My videos are twice as long and only take an hour
