You can use the feedback system in Companion and the MixEffect module to see which source is on program or preview and update the color of the button accordingly. Look for the "me: Program" or "me: Preview" feedback options in the Feedbacks tab for a button.
It would be awesome to drag the favorites super courses from place 4 to 1. Also it would be great to change the super source camera presets without having to save it again.
If you enable Show Box Sources, you will be able to tap a box followed by a preset. If you want to swap between two boxes, there's an option in the menu, you can use shortcuts, or you can use MixEffect's Companion/Stream Deck integration. What do you mean by changing the SuperSource camera presets without having to "same" it again?
@@JoshKaufmanstuff So you'd want the presets to save automatically whenever you make a change? Unfortunately, the way the SuperSource Visual Editor is set up, it's designed more of as a workspace for how the SuperSource is being displayed in real-time, rather than as an editing box for the current SuperSource. If I were to create a dedicated SuperSource Preset Editor, adding the auto-saving would be do-able.
Just purchased MixEffect. Love it so far. I also use vmix. Can you show an effective way to use computers (vmix/obs/etc) for overlays and chat messages?
I don't have much experience using OBS and zero on Vmix (since I'm on a Mac). I have used H2R Graphics (heretorecord.com/graphics/). This person has some videos that shows how he uses his AMP with OBS (ua-cam.com/users/CreateConsumeRepeatfeatured). And Aaron Parecki has videos on how he integrates his chats into his streams (ua-cam.com/video/HwctGtdsHZI/v-deo.html).
Are you referring to the SuperSource Presets? First, make sure you have an ATEM that supports SuperSource like an ATEM Mini Extreme, Mini Extreme ISO, SDI Extreme ISO, 2 M/E Production Studio 4K, 2 M/E Constellation HD, 4 M/E Broadcast Studio 4K, 4 M/E Constellation HD, or Constellation 8K. If you have one of these ATEM, and the presets aren’t appearing, go to MixEffect Settings > Reset > Reset Presets.
Awesome as always, Adam! This video uses, however, the Generic OSC module in Companion. In the latest Companion betas there's a specific MixEffect module (as you mentioned elsewhere). Awesome!! Now how would I setup my Streamdecks via Companion with this new module? Is there already another video that shows this?
I would watch this video instead: ua-cam.com/video/ElhBOvzVylQ/v-deo.html we have an updated version of the native module coming soon with support for all the OSC commands in MixEffect 1.2.3.
Hi Adam, thanks for MixEffect, it's amazing, I would like to know why you don't have the plugin for the native StreamDEck app? it would be perfect. Thanks
Adding Companion support was easier. It would be nice to have a native Stream Deck plugin, but I either have to find a developer who can assist or build it myself. It's not currently on my roadmap, as I'm working on getting iOS 16 compatibility this summer.
This was super amazing! Just want to know if it will still work on stream deck when the phone is in standby mode?(black screen) or should be always on?
Phone needs to be on. MixEffect needs to be running in the foreground or in the background if you have the Run in Background feature enabled (docs.mixeffect.app/explore/run-in-background).
In that case, I would recommend using an Ethernet dongle with your iOS device. If you are on a Lightning-equipped iPhone or iPad, the Lightning to USB-3 cable + a USB Ethernet adapter. If you have a USB-C equipped iPad, get a USB-C hub with an Ethernet port or a USB-C to Ethernet adapter. The other alternative is to provide your own wireless router that connects the ATEM, Mac/PC, and your iOS devices to the work’s network.
If you have a Mac powered by Apple Silicon, there is a version of MixEffect available on the App Store. Please read this for more details on support and compatibility: mixeffect.app/docs/compatibility#apple-silicon-macs

Ive imported the buttons and companion sends commanda correctly, but i cannot see those buttons on the new streamdeck...any ideas? What am I missing?

@@lucagiarrizzo2806 Go to Companion's GUI admin, click on settings. There will be an option to run Companion alongside the StreamDeck. You'll then need to get the Companion plugin for the StreamDeck and install it.
Hello Adam, I'm in the process of purchasing the software? Question, is there any way to accomplish the following scenario: 2 to 4 person podcast (mostly 3) is there any way to also switch to the wide angle middle camera angle as any random person might be talking? 2nd Q: do you have a link were It would show someone how to also use the Video Follow Audio feature while applying the Super source at the same time? To elaborate think of talent 1 in a box on the right hand side taking 3/4 of the screen, Talent 2 same but in the middle, Talent 3 same deal and then a wide angle shot of all the guest at the bottom of all 3 shots, running from one end of the screen to the other. So basically 3 boxes on top and one elongated footnote wide angle shot at the bottom. Thanks.
Switching to the wide angle when anyone starts speaking can work if you set VFA to change the camera when any of the 2-4 people mics are active. VFA works on individual audio sources, so you cannot create a trigger for any audio source. There's a video from Aaron Parecki where he shows off how he was using VFA with me. Check out: ua-cam.com/video/E1nI5-p35AE/v-deo.html I would focus first on creating the different SuperSource presets, then linking them up with VFA triggers. Keep in mind that if you have the wide angle shot via random audio working, you won't be able to use the SuperSource presets (because it will keep switching to the wide angle shot). Some people solve this by having the wide angle shot trigger when the Master audio dips below a certain level.
Statics are always more reliable. But if it changes, make sure you have ATEM Setup handy so you can get the current IP address. A future version of MixEffect might support querying the network for ATEMs but I don’t support it at the moment.
