I bought the same 'bad boy' years ago because of the reach and the price; I like the lens alot........here's why: its light. it's compact. it's acceptably sharp. good color rendering. it's cheap. Sure, you can spend a thousand bucks (or MORE) and get a better lens, but I never leave it behind because it has delivered the goods time and time again.......at least for me. Yes, the 100-400 is a fantastic lens, but .............. way heavier, way more money, and twice the reach, which isn't always a good thing. Just sayin'. Thanks for the video.
Hi. Is Lumix g vario 45-200 Lens with power ois compatibile for any teeconverter ? I want to extend my lens as cheap as possibile. Unfortunatelly i am poor but i love bird photography
Hey, great info. I was looking at this lens for all video work. Your detail between the 1080 and 4k was awesome. Great flo and detail. Just what I needed. And yah, protographers are perfectionist.
You said that was not sharpe compared against prime lenses 3:08 which obviously those are going to perform better I'm ok with focus obviously something that cost 200$ (used) it's going to perform poorly but, when you start to display the image examples you said only good things about the lens(moon shot 4:08) and the pictures look acceptable to me so, what would be the problem with this one I'm asking because I'm planning to purchase this lens instead of the 45mm-150mm it would be only with the slow focus ?
If you are gonna shoot the moon and you have the G9 and the hi res mode so you can crop in on the picture and still retain that fine detail it's good but if you have a GH5 or something without the hi res mode I would look at the 100-300, it is only $100 more and you can find them used for a good price. The extra reach will make a difference.=)
I think the biggest improvement over the mk1 is that it has better AF and works better with video. I don't have the mk1 so I cannot say for sure. Cheers!
If you have the money then get the leica 100-400, you get the most reach and the image quality is great=) If it is just gonna stay on a tripod in the church and it gets taken care of you shouldn't have a problem. Some reports of the mount having problems, but some guys are really rough with gear.
Yeah I had just got the new BMPCC4k and you have to set both L/R channels of audio manually for your shotgun mic, learning curve, it is a bit different than my GH5, lol. I got it figured out, thanks for watching.
Hello, Recently I bought this lens for my OMD EM 10 mark III olympus but the focus ring doesn’t work but with autofocus it works. What do you think? Is a problem with lense or compatibility or any idea?
With my GH5 I had a problem with my 56mm sigma. The focus ring in AF was working and in manual the focus ring wouldn't work. It happened to be a setting in the menu. It was the AF assist because it went back to AF in manual mode. I am not sure about the OMD EM 10. Maybe check your settings or try the lens on a friends camera to see if it is the lens itself. Make sure and register your warranty with Panasonic it should be a 3 year promo deal, in case you need to send it back. I would try a setting reset in case you accidentally messed with a setting that caused the problem and you cannot find it. Hope it helps and you enjoyed the video. Hope you sub=) Cheers!!
I’m a basketball photographer and I’m curious if it’s good for indoor sports photography please help me I’m struggling weather to get this one or the 100-300
Honestly if you have a camera with good iso and you are fine with the f4 the 45-200 is probably a good choice. The AF is pretty snappy and works well. The face tracking actually works really well on my GH5. Depending on what side of the court you are on the 90-400 equiv should give enough reach to get some nice full body shots as well as some tight facial shots. That being said if you are shooting down court and cannot move with the game or it is a large arena then the 200-600 equiv from the 100-300 might be better for you. It will be harder to get a wide ,full body shot from close up though. If you have 2 cameras and can use a 24-120 or 24-70 as well, I would go with the 100-300 just for the extra reach. From what I understand they are about the same in all aspects but I do not have a 100-300, it is on my list. I imagine from my birding use that the 45-200 would be a better choice for basketball if you only have 1 camera and have to change lenses because that can be tough in a fast moving environment and you can miss the shot. Hope it helps. Thanks for watching. Merry Xmas!!
Hi, if you are in a church environment with 120', that's quite a long ways. You might want to look at the 100-300. It has pretty much the same performance and image quality as the 45-200 but you will get out to 600mm and I think you will need the extra reach at that distance. The 100-300 is the next lens I am going to get if that tells you anything. If you want to get a tight face shot of the pastor speaking then go with the 100-300 it is only like $100 more than the 45-200. The only really down side for me with the 45-200 is wanting to get just a little extra reach. Hope it helps.
Really??? I never messed with that. On the BMPCC you have to set both audio channels to record but the levels and balance are auto. Thanks, hope you sub and liked the vid=)
Sounds like he just used two different mics. The first audio sounds like the built in camera mic. B roll audio sounds like he used an actual mic. There was a difference in clarity
I'm working on it=). Learn, make, repeat right. I used 2 different mics and you can really tell the difference from in camera audio and the audio recorded through a mixer with Mackie Vita preamps. Hope you subbed.

Absolutely I agree not Sharp at all and slow as heck . ABOUT to sell it using it on a G9 .for me I'm really surprised not a good lens !
a 15 euro mic wouldn't hurt ;)
Nah more lenses lol
Lmao
Not good. Not sharp and ois not really work on lumix body

Great glad it was helpful, I hope you subscribe!!!
What frame rate did you use on the 4K video ?

I have a Panasonic 45-150mm. Do you think it's worth getting the 45-200mm lense? is it that much difference?
do u think this lens is actually a good lens to start with for a beginner like me to shoot for moon photos? or do u have other suggestions?

@@nwvideographotographer7186 thank you for the response! alright imma consider the 300mm :)
Nice footage.
Just curious? How do you get 27K views with 62 subscribers??????????????????
I have the older mk. I version. Is this an improvement over the older version?
I think the biggest improvement over the mk1 is that it has better AF and works better with video. I don't have the mk1 so I cannot say for sure. Cheers!
You answered this later on. What would be a better video lense with zoom?

On Headphones Your speech comes in only on the right side by the way

Get this one - the 100-300 will give you some distortion when zoomed in.
This lens is good for Lumix dmc g6? I'm beginner?
It is a great beginner lens that can push beyond beginner skills so you can get some longer use out of it.
What would you recommend for video in a church max distance 120'. Thanks

Listening with headphones your balance is really off

1:44 - it does not offer Dual IS!
You need a sound person..
Had to struggle to listen, you need to "QC" the clip, or spoils the whole clip.
