Received mine a few days ago and returning it. The issue is most card stocks or just copy paper will not work if you open the book pages all the way or flat. HSN and social media demonstrating without opening the book all the way. If you do open the book all the way or laying it flat, the pages will come out.
I'm always years behind the times in getting craft gizmos. I just bought the mini cinch at Christmastime 😄. It's still in the box, but I have plans to cinch together art journal pages I am making.

I got mine today, as well. Thought I'd watch someone else try iy first. I'm glad I did, as I was going to use plain colored card stock for the cover--and I have tons of pattern paper/card. One thing I did differently, is that I used craft clips from Dollar Tree to hold the pages and covers in place--they worked out better than the tiny clip provided. I also think that you can make your own spines, to the exact thickness you want, which is why you can get the glue strips separately. My test run booklet turned out--I plan to use it to hold ephemera (attaching the pieces with removable tape), so I can flip through and see what I have on hand. I have a wire spiral binding machine, which I love, but sometimes I'd like a bound book. This should be fun.
Good idea on the bigger binder clips. That tiny one they sent is a joke. I have made a couple notebooks. Yes, I used some pretty Anna Griffin paper for the cover. I made an ephemera book with self adhesive clear pockets from Amazon. It is a nice solution.
I have been using a generic machine for a long time ,similar to the one you got but a lot less expensive. I love it. Takes up to 12 inches size paper and can hold up to 250 sheets at one time. You will love it.

I got one too. I have made one note book and one bound photos book.I am a bit afraid to open the notebook up fully. But it should be able to be opened. I saw one presentation that said it can go in the machine again. Also once it is done tap the bound edge against the table to settle all the papers down into the glue then put in cooling area.
Mine arrived today too! I can't wait to see what you create! I believe it can take up to an inch and a half of paper and you would use more glue strips. I believe it will be available end of March in stores. 😊❤
You have the Your Story. I had one of those too. Never used it. I do like the fact it also had a laminator, eliminating a separate laminate machine. Not sure if I’m going to keep this.
I'm disappointed. I made my first book, but the glue didn't completely melt. I put the book in twice and it only had 30 sheets of copy paper. The middle and back pages fell out. I think the heating element needs to get a little hotter. Also, the machine is very light. I feel if it gets dropped it will shatter. I'll give it one more try, if I don't like it, I'm sending it back.
