I can't even describe how much this video helped me today.
Three years ago, I was in a relationship with that one boy. Our relationship lasted almost three years. He cheated on me and we had a horrible breakup. I even started self-harming. I wasn't able to get myself together for months after the incident. After I finally got over him, I met the kindest and the cutest boy ever! We've been together for a year and a half now. He never gave me any reason not to trust him, but I have horrible trust issues, especially because we are in a long distance relationship and I miss him so much. I am suffering from really, really bad relationship anxiety and I'm having panic attacks almost every day due to my overthinking and worrying. My boyfriend is very supportive and he treats me the best way possible. Today I had a huge panic attack again. Then, I saw your video and it made me cry. Thank you, Jess and Gabriel, you made me realize that I have the most generous and the kindest boy next to me who treats me better than anyone ever treated me and that I should be so grateful and not to let anything destroy our relationship. Please, whoever is reading this comment, please guys, pray for us two, pray for me to stay strong and beat my anxiety once and for all!

My parents have different religions (my mom is Christian and my dad is Hindu), but I was raised by going to church with my mom, so I am a Christian, but I also celebrate Hindu holidays in respect for my dad and his beliefs. Lovers with different religious can definitely make their relationship work, it just depends if God has planned for you two to be together forever.

Your wedding video left a profound memory in me and made me felt that Gab really love Jess not in a secular manner, but a way that is selfless and unconditional. Most contraceptives are 99%+ accurate if taken/adminstered properly - I wouldn't really call that a "large margin of how little they work"

Omar Sykes I think it’s not very responsible to tell the world (especially with thousands of prople watching) that you just do not believe in contraceptives. I understand that married people do not use contraceptives as they are with one partner for the rest of their lifes and would be okay with having a baby anytime. But it’s not the ‘believe’ thing you should discuss. People should use it and it works. Not using it leads to a lot of problems. Especially if they are not married.
Omar Sykes Yeah, of course it’s not right to just tell people to use it because it works. But if young people who are not married are having sex, I think it is a good advice and would say that a lot of people would recommend it to their children if they knew their teenage kid was having sex. And I believe J&G would say it to their future children too, once the children will have sex in not a married relationship and not just ‘believe’ that it doesn’t work and let their kids have an unprotected sex.

i dated someone for a year and 2 months. he is baptist & i am jewish. at the time of starting the relationship, we didn’t think different religions would be an issue; we enjoyed the company and time spent together. but when it really came down to it, we eventually broke up. this break up was heart wrenching for me because i truly loved him. however, he didn’t respect my values or opinions on our religious future, yet i did for him. he only wanted me to change my religion for him and never once did i ask that of him. we eventually broke things off because we both believed we wouldn’t see eye to eye on the subject. dating someone of the different religion can be very challenging but if you truly love someone, you’ll work things out to make it work. 💖
As a Christian who was in relationship with an atheist, I can relate to this situation and struggle of not being on the same wavelength as your boyfriend. Unfortunately it may be hard for others to understand but many Christians believe that God comes to separate us from others. Just like yourself I always thought that if someone loves you, they'd do anything to be with you. That was before I experience the true meaning of love, through our almighty creator. We love because he loved us first. Now when I look back, I realized that no one should compromise their beliefs to be with me or vice versa, and this idea of separation made so much more sense to me. Yes it know how much it hurts but in the long run just know that God has bigger and better plans for you, and it is SO worth the wait :))) xx

I think she means contraceptives. Also, such a beautiful comment! I’m not going to use them when I get married, but use nfp. Idk of you know what that is, but it’s natural family planning which is refraining from sex based on the woman’s period cycle when you are ovulating. Some ppl may think it’s the same thing as birth control, but it really isn’t cuz you shouldn’t use nfp for selfish reasons or cuz you think you’re set on just your day... 2 kids. It should be used for valid reasons, like financial, health, etc reasons. The reason why contraceptives were started is just wrong, deceitful, and hazardous to women’s health. Also, I just want to say I know there a lot of wonderful ppl who do use contraceptives and I’m not hating on them or think they are the worst ppl ever. I just don’t think it’s in line with God or agree with their use of contraceptives. Sex is made for bringing children into the world and uniting man and wife.🙂💕

I know this is too late to drop a comment, but I do also strugling in a long distance relationship with my boyfriend the past 3 years. We both Indonesian, but he lives in Australia and I stay in Jakarta. Another positive thing from being in a LDR from my opinion is we both can grow to a strong-independent individuals but at the same time we are a team. We used to do few things by ourselves where other couple could do it together. And based on my experience, LDR gives me more time to have a quality sesh for my self, so it makes me more ready to prepare for anything about what this relationship is going to face with. I do love you both and been following your journey since you guys in a LDR. I’m happy you finally break the distance and get to live together in a marriage! Love these long Q&As and props to you both for some of the wise lines about compromising and for the honest opinions. I've been watching you guys since you started dating and you might have been my inspiration when I met my bf turned fiance and now hubby. We're back to being in LDR even after waiting for more than a year and finally being married last Feb but we def can't wait to be together for good hopefully this year. The only thing I don't agree with this vid, same as the others, is regarding contraceptives. It's a personal choice and I don't want that to be taken away from me all because people chose to depend on God's plan and timing. My husband and I are baptized as Catholics but we're not devout and at least we share the same philosophy that we don't have to be practising Catholics just to be deemed worthy to be saved or be seen as a good person based off on beliefs alone. It all boils down to how you treat others when no one's watching and should treat everyone with respect.

It's a lot more effective than nothing, but there is a lot of room for human error with things like the pill, condoms, and diaphragms. However I totally respect your decision to not use any. It is your relationship, and you two have to do what makes you feel both comfortable. And clearly you guys would welcome any baby in your life. My husband and I don't want kids ever, so we use condoms. I'm not comfortable with using hormonal birth control because of all sign effects that come with it, so condoms work just fine for us. Every marriage is different and has to fine what works for them. Love you two both BTW!!

jess, remember taking care of a baby is 10x harder than a dog! and i seriously wonder how ur baby will look like. and im sure he/she will be so talented. but just remember 1 baby 9 months and then forever. LUV UUU
