Here after seeing this video on Twitter. For young people who have seen how integrity hardly gets rewarded in this country, this is quite the needed talk. Thank you!
A story of sheer hard work and grit. I can fully relate to this, having come to Nairobi only for the second time when I was reporting to the University of Nairobi, with my father who hardly knew Nairobi as well, crisscrossing the roads of Nairobi, with my suitcase on his right hand. That was 13 years ago in 2009. It is amazing the dreams we carry with us from the small villages upcountry to this big city of Nairobi, and work hard towards them, without knowing anyone high in the ranks. For sure, there is a God in heaven who watches over us, and I bet He smiles when he sees just how we have risen from walking to school barefoot in the village to scaling the heights in major cities across the world. Kudos to everyone on this path!
This was gold. A great platform to get inspired by real people (not the wash wash and 'ni Mungu tu' gang) through their struggles and victories. Well done Engage Team.
It was a joy working with you Dr Martin Oduor. The lasting legacy left at KCB: Integrity & Ethics at a time when the Bank was dancing around transparency indices for the wrong reasons. Be blessed.
Those who are not born in Nairobi make it big in Nairobi, they come with big dreams to break the glass ceiling. This is a story of hard work, success and blessings from Heavenly Father.
I have always admired this man. I have followed his career and progression and until I had a chance to interact with him, did I realise that his soft mien wasn't aloofness and he is actually a very humble man, God fearing too, since we would bump into each other for morning mass on weekdays at 7am. Kweli Mungu haachi mjakazi wake!
Just lost my Mum in August,Martin Oduor is my childhood hero am really inspired by him to move on,i was introduced to him by my highskool business teacher whom i highly respect he is the God father of my Businesses.
Yes excellent Role Model. His formative years include the Cardinal Otunga High School. Humility and looking out for others's wants, needs, desires and prayers
No way! Siaya! man...don't take ours Shemeji!! He's on the border but ni wetu...Alego Usonga...Lolest..But ur right the region would benefit IMMENSELY.. But I doubt if he'd fit into our nasty political-economy!
Dreams are indeed valid, but I still do not understand why retrenchment/firing of people has to happen on a Friday afternoon I experienced that in 2016 but I thank God I went through that this modeled me to be the person that I am today
