when i saw raynard very long range with surge i immediatly thought hes gonna come back later in a harder lvl as a support unit with alot of stuff protecting him he seems like that type of unit just like henry
Some advice to Matt and anyone playing Underground Labyrinth in the future from someone who made it to 13% (probably could have done more but not enough to get to 5 Dark catseyes): 1. On the easier levels you wanna use a lot of "fluff" units as to not use up your valuable units. It's important that you use low value units such as collab units that target the specific enemies in the level. That way you use up units that you dont care about but they can still help you in the level. You can also use units that are straight up trash to get rid of them. 2. Meatsheilds are not as useful as one might think because of the sheer amount of disposable units that can usually be spammed, but for later stages you really wanna save the good ones (it still depends on the level, you might need good meatsheilds for an enemy like Bun Bun). Bonus tip! The Egg units are spammable and passable for a meatsheild, even if you have evolved them, you can always turn them to their previous form and use them that way (i think a lot of them are better off used as meatsheilds then their trash evolved forms). 3. Prioritise high value units and use lower value units that work similarly instead. What i mean by this is if you have are up against black enemies you might see similar good units such as Kasa Jizo, Pizza Cat and Assassin BearCat you should prioritise saving Kasa Jizo and Assassin BearCat because they target other traits as well while Pizza Cat only targets black enemies. 4. Try to save versatile units when given the chance. Pretty self-explanatory. 5. Sometimes using one good uber (if you have one) may save you 2-4 mediocre rares/supers. Underground Labyrinth being centered around using up your units, you may prefer having more units available to use in the upcoming levels. It takes some practice to see the value in certain units but it can be done. 6. This game mode finally gave us a reason to upgrade each and every unit we have (all of mine are at least level 30), so you should probably do that if you care. 7. Make sure you are 100% confident in your loadout before you go into the level, if you leave mid level your cats will still be trapped. 8. You can use the little button on the left of your loadout to instantly remove all trapped units from your loadout, its just convenient.
Brother you gotta upgrade your wallet more often, you have to take advantage of the peons that spawn first that give you a ton of money and when its capped it makes us die inside

the intentional and easiest way to stall st dober is not use ramen but use sanzo and julliet cat to permanently freeze them, this prevents them from doing their deadly surge! also if you use sniper the heavy please remember to put it on the first row and YAY!!! you are finally using ammy tf!!
Tip matt u can quit the game and rejoin and the game will let u replay the stage to save energy and power ups but this will not work on no continue stages

Bad luck ebisu is a very good universal(all traits (metal included) except traitless) and stackable knockback + freeze as long as you clear the enemie meatshields.
matt shea I love your videos and i have been grinding the battle cats and see that you can struggle with some stages but if you look at your loadout YOU HAVE LIKE A LEVEL 90 I was barley lucky enough that the first try ever opening a rare cat capsule I got a legend rare professor abyss not the greatest would rather yours but you are amazing keep doing what your doing
I found out today that ultra souls capsule event was on, and due to the fact that because of that daily 20 catfood thing, I had enough to buy it. And guess what? I got Kasa Jizo first try. Unrelated to what I was saying, but, Matt Shea, you make my day so much better. I love your channel so much and love this battle cats content.
Hey Matt u should use gravolodon more he is a really good generalist and really good against aliens in my opinion his wave attack is pretty good also against a lot of stuff so recommend u using him if u want btw I really love ur videos ur one of my favorite UA-camrs

Hey mattshea u have inspired me to play battle cats and I just wanted to say if u are ever stuck on a alien stage u do realize that you have one of the best cat in the game for Aliens they’re called the elemental pixies and there so good for aliens probably one of the best Ubers for aliens especially the legend rare and u have some just base not use them: bora he does massive damage and he’s resistant to alien:voli he freezes alien Second form he freezes and is resistant: the water one slows and I’m pretty sure it’s resistant: air just long ranged

Some advice to Matt and anyone playing Underground Labyrinth in the future from someone who made it to 13% (probably could have done more but not enough to get to 5 Dark catseyes):
