I was so into B-Daman as a kid once Zero G ended. I actually had Spike Phoenix which was a limited edition one that I believe was based off of one that appeared solely in the manga. Metal Fight and B-Daman were probably my two biggest "anime toy" hobbies growing up.
Ah yes, my favorite B-Daman series is Battle B-Daman and Crash B-Daman. I actually have two of the hard to get crash b-daman which is the mc’s and antagonist B-Daman’s (Justice Ifrit and Omega Bahamut). Goated franchise and Bottleman DX has lowkey also peaked my interest too.
I made a Bdaman VR game a few years ago to satisfy my nostalgia and it was pretty awesome. Been thinking about picking it up again and making a full game but not sure if I could convince Tomy to let me release it. Might have to do knock off instead of using all the Bdaman models I have.
I was just playing Gundam Breaker 4 and one of the contest winners used SD Gundam parts to make a B-Daman Dracyan in game. Immediately launched down a rabbit hole that lead me here! Great video, thank you for making it. I ended up with a plethora of B-Daman toys in the late 2000s because for some reason they were sold at Dollar Tree for, obviously, $1. I wish I had known there as an anime at the time.
I watched crossfire as a kid but I just thought it was some one-off toy line with a show, I had no idea it had so much history, and with bomberman too?! Great video!
I grew up with crossfire bdaman. Only got the mc's bdaman Dracyan and his rivals Draciel. They came with plastic marbles but with like a target/sniper scope design carved into them. Though I lost them as the years went by. Was never sure how to play with them but I believe there was a set that kinda acted like a base set. Like how beyblades have a set with beys and a stadium. From what I heard there were tournaments that ran along side beyblade tournaments and they were smaller in size
This awesome anime , this whas my childhood this whas my life man , i rewatched it like 15 times , woke up early , singing with the opening ( because its a banger ) i am 27 now , but still man this needs to return i would totally start collecting again
I remember owning one of these when I was a kid. It was one of the Battle B-Daman that was just the one being used by the protagonist. Found it quite fun for a toy, but, because of my clumsy behavior, it didn't lasted as long as it should have. :( Which is sad since the whole thing came with a lot of custom stuff to it.
This was awesome and Soooo informative, I’ve always wanted to learn more about battle B-Damon, thank you so much for clarifying it’s origins and what all was inspired from our oldie gem bomber man
I remember watching the show when I was 9, and the only thing i remember is it's basically like bowling. They use the mons/mans to destroy the pins, i guess? where the main character's shots have power in each shot but slow, and the rival guy's got an extended marble magazine and he shoots tons of accurate shots.
They do a couple different game modes in the anime. The target practice yes but they also do direct hit battle where you try to hit a button on your opponent’s bdaman to deactivate it.
I remember getting on to Cross Fight B-Daman right after the Metal trilogy ended in Beyblade in the West. Started collecting both of these again too. Coincidentally, I have a Smash Dragold coming in the mail tomorrow. You should check out the second season of Cross Fight B-Daman too. It was called B-Daman Fireblast overseas, and the emblem charge system was LITTY
Ah b daman these became very popular in my country since the plastic gen beyblades kinda faded out and the anime stop airing and the only other popular thing here was yu gi oh but nobody knew how tf to play that so everyone hoped on board with this but i remember it not lasting too long.
This was a core memory of my childhood I remember an episode where he kept fighting with his B-Daman and repaired it with tape was inspiring. Please let me know which series that was.
@@nizumablader the one I had was a combo with a track that had a dragon head at the top, you would shoot the marble and it would come out of the dragons chin for some reason
I'm curious about the possibility of B-Daman being played in marble games that were made before the B-Daman series I guess the B-Daman grenade launcher B-Daman part will be invaluable to play the ringer. I wonder how will B-Daman fit into the other marble games. & if you want a challenge try using B-Daman to fire a marble behind the line & the B-Daman barrel attachment can't be on the line & can't be pasted the line this would be quite interesting way to play with the wide range variety of marble games.
