A Christmas Carol with Alistair Sim - still my very favorite. I've watched every year for the last 40 at least. Wow, some really beautful advent boxes. I think the little extras in the boxes are a nice touch, especially for those who may not be local. For example it's nice to get a treat one would normally not think to buy locally. Consider something that can be used, instead of something that sits on a shelf.
National Lampoons Christmas Vacation is a must, if you've never seen it. It's hilarious and such a classic for us. Our boys are grown up now, but this is "the" film that we used to put on when decorating our tree every year when the boys were younger and we still watch it every year. I've loved seeing your Advent calendars, especially the World of Wool, as the packaging is something else and I would keep those packets out all year round in my office/craft room. As one of your Patreons and a newbie felter, their wool looks amazing too. I think I would rather just have the wool. I'm a serial Yorkshire tea drinker so if I've ever got any herbal teas in parcels, unfortunately I end up throwing them away. Will you be doing anymore in person workshops next year? I'm working today (from home), my last day until the 2nd Jan. Have a lovely day 🙂xx
Thank you and I agree re the advents, I prefer just wool too. I might do a workshop, still planning out the year but hopefully I will, thanks so much for watching and hope you had a lovely Christmas xx
I love that Buddy wool! It looks so lush. And the creative anarchy yarns look amazing too, I love the variegated colours. I think it’s nice to get extra treats with packaged orders, but it really is extra - I’m aware not every small retailer can afford the extras. If I know the products are going to be good quality, that makes it special already!
My preference for a kit is that the extra things are great as long as they are extras and don’t replace days. I want my days to be real things of real value that either make a project or can be used in a project. I love the wonderful wools you’ve been getting and also the fact that you are actually making things! The ornaments. Teas keychains stickers etc. are just meh.. they are fun but only as extras not as actual full days. I’m definitely interested in your potential calendar
Enjoying watching you opening the advents I had the felt box one for at least 4years but was disappointed last year as it was very similar to the year before, but I love the wools from them for needle felting. Would definitely buy an advent calendar from you as I feel it would be very interesting, maybe would be good to be a little more challenging. For me no tea or food that can be difficult with allergies
Really enjoying this series, Pippa! Regarding your question about wanting extras like tea, etc. in themed advent (and subscription) boxes, I’m a no. I find I usually end up tossing those items. I really just want the craft items I’ve purchased the box for. I hope you do one next year! I like the idea of materials leading up to a small project every few days. Merry Christmas to you and your family!
I love the Mrs Claus colours, beautiful 😍. This is so much fun. If you are doing a Needle Felting Advent next, a wee bag of goodies would be really good. Our all time favourite Xmas movie is Polar Express. Another family favourite is The Grinch, not the Jim Carey one, the cartoon one. Thanks Philippa xx
Fred Claus with Vince Vaughn is a great family movie. The Bishop's wife with Cary Grant is my favourite. Happy memories watching that with my mum growing up. 🎄🪽🎅
Beautiful wools ❤ im not into Christmas movies rather sit down with a good coffee table book. However I did see the film Red One at the cinema and that was a great Christmas film recommend it ❤😊
Movie: Christmas Vacation I don’t like extra gifts - just wool 🙂 This has been so much to watch so far. I love the tiny skeins and the WOW advent is a definite for me next year!! I’m working, but trying to make some last minute gifts, it’s 17 degrees F here today ❄️❄️❄️ ❤enjoy your day Pippa 🎄🎄
Loving the vlogs & you are so busy! I bet you can't wait to have the advents finished so you can relax & enjoy the festive period! It has been fab watching you open them & I hope you bring one out next year, I'd definitely order one! Christmas movies I have to watch are The Holiday, Elf, Die Hard 1 & 2, Scrooged & I love A Christmas Carol any version but the muppets Kermit & Miss Piggy always annoyed me even as a child!!!😂😂😂
I’ve just realized I missed 4 days on my chocolate advent! So I’m enjoying a nice chocolate bonus while watching you vlogmas today ☺️ for movies I enjoy Elf and the Holiday.
I was too late to get an advent, but I think I would want just the daily wool to open ( a treat in itself!) and maybe either a couple of projects or one main one to really get into after Christmas rather than little daily items. Working up until Christmas I certainly wouldn’t be able to keep up with each day’s project!
I love the nativity films, one and two are the best, just lovely feel good films,I’ve so enjoyed your vlogs, don’t know what I’ll have to look forward to in January lol,I’m a needle filter first and have done bits of crochet but honestly seeing your toft calendar I want to make them,I love the colours they are soooo cute,I’ve really enjoyed every aspect of your vlog, from seeing where you live to Edinburgh,my son worked there recently and loved it,thankyou so much for all your time and hard work it’s amazing xx🧑🏻🎄🎅🏼🎄
Love seen the process of the toft box and all the other advent calendars. Our favorite Christmas movie is the Muppet Christmas Carol. Happy vlogmas🌲☃️🎄
I've finally caught up with the videos 😃 . It's been lovely seeing the Advent packages although they do seem expensive but I am a novice to felting so unsure how much this stuff would normally cost - would you say they are value for money?
It has kind of become tradition for our family to watch the Muppet's Christmas Carol on Christmas Eve, it still tells the Christmas Carol story by Charles Dickens, but not so dramatically and with fun characters and songs. We also watch the Nativity Story, It's a Wonderful Life, Silent Night, The Christmas Candle and some others. I wish I could have had a felting/wool advent to open, but no one here in Australia does it and I was too late to order one from the UK once you started your vlogmas series. If you do an advent calendar next Christmas I personally would just want the felting wool and possible as few things to go with it, but not the extras.
I agree, I prefer just the actual craft items and no teabags or chocolate, thank you so much for watching and so happy to know you enjoyed the series xx
Hi loving the vlogmas videos, thank you. We love Christmas movies in our house! Tim Allen’s The Santa Clause movies are good fun. There are 3 movies, the first one was in 1994, but there has also been 2 seasons on Disney+ since last year. Best watched in order. There’s also a new Jack Black, Dear Santa movie that’s ok. RedOne is new too. The Christmas Chronicles 1 and 2 and the Navtivity movies are good. That Christmas is a cute new one. Love Actually is a good adult one. But Home Alone 1 and 2 are firm favourites for us, Marv’s scream gets me every time 😂😂
Can't go wrong with Muppet Christmas Carol!
Our favorite as well🎄

Very good point and yes, that's a shame re the felt box, hopefully they refresh for next year, thanks for watching xx
Nightmare before Christmas me and my son's favourite. Have to watch it every year
My favourite Christmas movie is Christmas with the Coopers. A brilliant feel good film! Happy Christmas everyone.....

Good to know! I am the same with extra things, not really for me , hope you had a lovely Christmas day xx
The animated Christmas carol with Jim carrey voicing scrooge, brilliant film

Wow, you managed to pack all those days in really well. I think the ice skates look good fun to make.
Beautiful wools ❤ im not into Christmas movies rather sit down with a good coffee table book. However I did see the film Red One at the cinema and that was a great Christmas film recommend it ❤😊
Last Christmas, has songs by Wham. My husband said I’d like it and he was right.
Movie: Christmas Vacation

My all time favorite is National Lampoons Christmas vacation, not Christmas with out it. The one film the whole family will sit and watch together.
A Christmas Carol is my all time favourite.
I’ve just realized I missed 4 days on my chocolate advent! So I’m enjoying a nice chocolate bonus while watching you vlogmas today ☺️ for movies I enjoy Elf and the Holiday.
Love that!
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation 1989. An older movie that's great for the family and funny as all get out😅
I only watched the mixing board video the other day and ordered one and sourced a massive bag of bfl locks from a farm😊
Also…the older version of Miracle on 34th St with a very young Natalie Wood and Maureen O’Hara… Merry Christmas!
I was too late to get an advent, but I think I would want just the daily wool to open ( a treat in itself!) and maybe either a couple of projects or one main one to really get into after Christmas rather than little daily items. Almost all of the Felt box are repeats. The thimble Mouse, the wet felt soap, Dippy etc.
That's a shame and thanks for saying, I will let people know, they don't even have that many things to create they could avoid repeats xx
Love seen the process of the toft box and all the other advent calendars. Our favorite Christmas movie is the Muppet Christmas Carol. Happy vlogmas🌲☃️🎄
Thanks Margo! xx
New animated film on netflix "that Christmas" very sweet
I've finally caught up with the videos 😃 . It's been lovely seeing the Advent packages although they do seem expensive but I am a novice to felting so unsure how much this stuff would normally cost - would you say they are value for money?
I think World of Wool and the Barn2Yran are the best value, the Crafty Kit Co was a lovely selection of tutorials too xx
Although I enjoyed the Crafty kit company, I miss opening a gift a day. There were a lot of double days.
Annie claus is coming to town.
My favourite films to watch around christmas are Christmas Vacation and romances like Serendipity or While You Where Sleeping. ☺
I love While you were sleeping xx
Love the extras as long as it’s to do with the subject ,don’t like the teas of coffee
My favourite Xmas film is Mrs Miracle. Red One is new and free on Amazon prime and brilliant
Hi Pippa, Crafty Kit Company have no repeats over the last 3 years, unsure though about earlier
That's great to hear, thanks for letting me know xx
“ Get Santa “ movie ( but Arthur Christmas a must. Doing all 8 Harry Potters tonight ). 👍🏻🇨🇦
Did you manage all Harry Potter's in one night? That is impressive and tempting for me to start them all again! xx
