I went there back in July of 2022. As a rail enthusiast, I mainly went in order to ride on the legendary Durango & Silverton Railroad. We flew into Denver but drove the distance to Durango and the sights were beautiful. I remember listening to this piece during the car ride at one point as I thought it was appropriate given the destination. Now when I hear this I'll always think of that trip and the mighty little steamers that are the Durango & Silverton's pride. I fully intend to make this trip again someday!
Fantastic piece of music. There's so much going on - it's sounds like Spirit - Stallion of the cimarron, Titanic, Jurassic Park, How to train your dragon and Indiana Jones all in one. I love it!
We are ready for the battle, your majesty. Then, shall we begin. Remember, this is for our honor, for the people who lost their lives... May god bless us. Now, move forward and fight until the last of us!
I've only been listening to TSFH for a little while (I stumbled across their "Victory" piece in many video mixes), but this piece has easily made its way to the top of my TSFH Favorites list. I'll be sure to purchase the album at the next opportunity!
@@elzaforte Yeah, I know, the thing is that Mexico's city was named because of the Durango of Spain, because when they went the Vasque people to America they named like that... and it's funny how now it has become a city and it's even bigger than Spanish Durango
There is also a state in the north of Mexico named Durango however as stated above this does not fit the environment at all of Durango. However the music is still awesome.
2:40 reminds me an IMAX film about the space shuttle that I once saw. They had a piece that sounded similar to that playing over shots of the Earth seen from orbit.
World may slowly going to hell with Covid and high possibility of WWIII but we can always count on TSFH to bring us joy, only by listeing this songs i get enough strenght to continue!.

Epic fantasy racing music, makes me feel like I'm flying...on a dragon...racing another one. Yup, TSFH is the best. no matter what song of their's you are listening to, the music will bring you in for the ride.
To be honest, there is more than one section in this song that sounds like one of the flying themes from HTYD. Thomas Bergersen probably has heard HTYD and probably unconsciously pulled a similar melody from one its themes.
For some reason this makes me think of the climactic battle of some WW2 movie. The first bit, (0:00 - 1:30) we're following US Rangers as they chase down retreating Germans, running through the fields of northern France clearing gun sites and trenches as they go. At 1:30 they reach the final wave of defenses, just as they come into sights of the defending guns, suddenly US M4 Shermans open fire on the bunkers, causing the defending Germans to panic and miss their shots. 1:40 taking advantage of the confusion from allied armor, the Rangers continue their advance up the slope, taking prisoners and killing any resistance they meet. They get into the core of the defenses and manage to clear all the bunkers by 2:00. 2:05 we cut to the cockpit of a US P-47 Thunderbolt, leading a squadron of attackers towards the bunker we were just seeing. Four planes form a tight formation and buzz over the tank column, to the applause of dismounted infantry. 2:30 they see the bunker, and spot US rangers waving them off. We cut to the ground just as an American rifleman spots German reinforcements advancing on the other side of the hill, with tanks and infantry. The P-47s break formation at 2:40 and begin turning off... The Rangers prepare to defend themselves as they now believe their air support has given up. They watch as the assaulting forces get ever closer, picking targets and training their weapons on the soldiers running between the tanks. At 3:15 We cut back to the air, to see the pilots having repositioned, are now lining up their sights on the tanks. 3:20 We closeup on the face of a private, aiming his M1 at a German, preparing to pull the trigger, flinching slightly in anticipation of the German response. Just as he begins squeezing the trigger, three planes fly over him dropping their bombs towards the German armor, the drop is good and we see three German Stug 3s explode spectacularly. Again back in the sky, we see the Squadron leader is flying slightly behind his formation, confirming their kills as he prepares to strafe the scattering infantry with his rockets. On the ground, the rangers begin cheering loudly as the final plane passes over them, firing all 6 of his rocket pods into a crowd of retreating infantry. At 3:55 the planes climb away having completed their mission, and the last plane, who we know is the squadron leader, dips his wings to the soldiers on the ground.
2SFH only having 1M subs just blows my fucking mind. It's really sad because they make such incredible music. I hope that someday they will get the level of recognition they deserve!

Masterpiece!!
Everything from Two Steps is Masterpiece :D
Been listening to this song for years and will continue doing so. There is no other piece of media that can replicate this sence of wonder.
One day, centuries from now, we will remember TSFH like we remember Bach today.
But better
I was gonna say that
Having lived in Durango, Colorado, This music fits that town history perfectly. Gun slinging western town.

This piece does what all music should do.... take you on a journey without visuals. Absolutely floored! Great work!
Gosh, this reminds me of 90s movies. They tended towards triumphal music, and as a kid that really made me feel inspired.
Two Steps From Hell is the Gold Standard for Epic Music.
Nah it’s above the gold standard it’s essentially it’s own standard man

This piece sounds exactly how a Mark Maggiori painting looks like. TSFH realy captured something essential with this one.
A race to Durango is less epic than a race to get a TSFH concert ticket.
@@Kiki-vc1xo Yeah, they have said that they are going to announce concerts "soon". We're still waiting!
