@@Vahidaam I would argue that it's not about capacity much at all. Yes it does have impact on battery life in general, but that's not the biggest factor to consider. The processor in the pixel is incredibly inefficient compared to what's in the s24. The processor in the pixel is really new and the series that's in the s24 has been around for a very long time and has already had the kinks worked out generations ago. The capacity of the battery in the pixel would likely have to be like 20% bigger than what's in the s24 to have somewhat similar battery life. Look at the batteries in e-ink devices, they are incredibly small and can literally last months on a single change. This is a drastic example but a 3000mah battery in an efficient device can last a very long time, if that device has been optimized for power consumption. The weaker CPU in the pixel drains significantly more power than the more powerful CPU in the S24. I don't have figures for you but you can look more into it if you want. I had the S24U in my cart after eyeing the Pixel for quite a while. Almost clicked the "Confirm order" but.... These 2 are so close, what tipped the scale in favor of the Pixel was the fact that all the Samsung AI features are free until 2025 (I plan to keep the phone for 2+ years) and that anti-glare screed becomes irrelevant one you put a screen protector on, so for the price Pixel is just the better overall option.
@@stevenpham6734 Ya, it's pain in the ass. Apparently it doesn't happen if you buy Samsung's own screen protector which I can't speak for. Pretty sure you could find some videos on it. My new Pixel 8 Pro heats up when charging or even making WhatsApp calls. If I do both at the same time, I could fry an egg on it. I've read that it's a common problem. I've sent it back for repair but am concerned that it won't make any difference. Does the Samsung have overheating issues?
Is a $200 pixel 8 Pro good? A co worker is selling his because he got the s24 ultra and prefers it over the 8 Pro. Not wanting it as a main phone but as a secondary phone since I have a 15 pro max as my main phone.
Pixel is the worst phone I had in the last 10 years, lag, horrible battery, frozen, idle... Yes idle on the phone! However the camera is amazing, but very slow.
You have to be careful how you interpret cellular signal. Can you make calls and does data work when the reception appears to be "weak"? A weak signal may be indicative of the device having the ability to connect to a tower further way that is less congested, giving you a better network experience.
I've had the pixel 6, pixel 7 Pro and pixel 8 Pro along with the Samsung galaxy s24 Ultra. All three of the pixels had cellular issues and overheating issues specifically while using the modem for 5G or just calls in general. The pixel phones would have terrible audio on a phone call along with just randomly dropping the call. The phones would sit at around 40° C and just be hot in general even to the point where my coworkers would be alarmed as well. In turn the battery life is quite poor as well. The Samsung has none of these issues
I love the Samsung phones, pixel definitely looks appealing but the price is kind of more than I'm willing to pay, I'm not saying I won't buy pixel phone but I'm just saying it will be awhile like quite awhile because I don't accidently drop phones or spill stuff on them which means I usually use phones until the screen and keypad sensors wear out and that takes me about 4-6 years. I have the Samsung galxie a25 5g and it's a $300 dollar phone at most retail stores and even online. The pixels as I said are amazing phones but the price ranges from $300-$1,000 in my stores. Lol
The simplicity of the pixel 8 and IMO better point and shoot camera is what I like about the pixel. There are tons of customisation on the S24U, its just overwhelming at times. I have the pixel 8 and S24U at the moment and uses them both.

I have pixel 8 pro from beginning. It does amazing photos, the user experience is great but most these amazing features are us exclusive so Google lied when presenting those. On top of that battery sucks! Overall I am happy but it's not as good as OP 12, S24 Ultra.
You have bixby talk on Samsung and it speaks to the person on the call for you and turn their voice to text for you and it also turn your text into voice for them. So Pixel call assist is not an advantage.

Glad it was helpful!
That pixel call filter feature is cool, perfect for screening out those scammers from call centers from the philippines.
I think the Ultra is the best Dad phone but I don't like how much bloat comes with Samsung.
Pixel is wonderful, too bad it heats up too much.
More reviewers have the pixel 8 pro better in terms of details and night shots.
let me know when price drops, pixel is too expensive here in nigeria
Pixel is user-friendly and has all the features that people use regularly.
No brainer for me pixel 8 pro was 540 at spectrum
pixel 8 pro is a buggy piece of sh*t I really regret buying one
You guys never go for hardware 😒😒
But. The camera module on the Google is far better for typing on. On a flat surface
No head phone slot I tired to plugg in headphones lol
Samsung, Pixel not available in my region.
Using s24u but I have a Pixel 8 pro as well and in some ways prefer it.
8 pro > Samsung is just ads
100%
You left out connectivity and reception. You know, they are still phones, not just hand held computers. The Ultra gets much better reception.
No issues with my P8P or my S24U. both similiar. I will say that the samsung gets much better upload speeds vs pixel.
Samsung generative AI is a hit or miss.
I have pixel 8 pro from beginning. It does amazing photos, the user experience is great but most these amazing features are us exclusive so Google lied when presenting those. On top of that battery sucks! Overall I am happy but it's not as good as OP 12, S24 Ultra.
My daughter has takes amazing pictures with her Pixel phones. Even got a runner up in a photo contest.
😊😊😊😊
Is the pixel good for vlogging?
You have bixby talk on Samsung and it speaks to the person on the call for you and turn their voice to text for you and it also turn your text into voice for them. So Pixel call assist is not an advantage.
❤❤❤❤
S24 ultra has call screening

I have my term finishing this fall and m confused between samsung, pixel and iphone.
S24 Ultra... Just trust me
Firefox, uBlock Origin and Gboard are enough reasons to buy Pixel over iPhone.
The P8P is my daily driver for the snappy UI and great camera. I use the S24U at home to play around with and as a backup when traveling. The S Pen is fantastic!
Still thinking the 8 pro or just waiting for the 9 pro.
Imo Wait for the pixel 9..
