Best Canadian Chinese Drama of all time. The male actor should be awarded the best actor, most talented, amazing none to replace him in this Industry. Godfrey's mom is from former British Str. of MAlacca's Settlements island of Penang. Married another Chinese from Shanghai to Taiwan, raised a family and later moved to Vancouver for children's higher education.
Godfrey returned to Taiwan as a model, got into acting, was perfect and successful with both his new careers and basketball to add. Was brought to bigger audiences and markets in China, New York, Hollywood, 1st Asian Model for LV, HBoss, etc.
Godfrey considered Penang as his hometown and food haven. As spokeperson for Canadian Tourism Authority, saw 40% more Chinese tourists visiting Canada. As spin-offs in Penang, saw more Chinese foodies arrivals wanting to eat Godfrey's favourites like Laksa, Char Koay Teow, Meehoon and Hor Fun, Hokkien Prawn Mee & Wanton noodles, etc.

Shocks! I laughed and cried many times in this drama. This is the only Chinese drama I have watched that I felt all kinds of emotions especially pain and missing someone you truly love. Perfect story, actors and actresses, writers and director(s), all the staff, they make it real, its super real that's like you are one of these characters. I'm thanking that it has an English subtitle for international fans and viewers.
It is a great story, well done well written. The pain they both portrayed seem so realistic I cried so much it scared my husband. Well worth the time. Director and all the staff amazing job.

It is one of the best LOVE STORY i have watched in the last 30 years. Cry , laugh , sadness , joy , all together made me watch without sleeping 22 hous till i could not keep my eyes open.. Yet , i was hoping to see Li Wang cured and happy living with Anie.

It’s a flashback of their love story. Hw nice their getting married. That was GG planned to propose to her before he flew to Zurich for his illness treatment. But it never happened. Wow so nice to be in love but it’s just very unfortunate he has severe illness and it’s hindrance to their relationship. Missed u both. RIP GG in real life May ur soul will be heaven with our Creator.❤

Li Chuan DIDN't DIE in the end. S2 sequel (Reunited with Li Chuan - but different actors) confirms this. The scenes that appeared to imply his 'death' maybe explained as:-
1# while Li Chuan closed eyes with tears, heart beat monitor still beep normal
2# his ring was sent to her after her voice mail says she will always love him regardless even if separated is opposite of what he wants i.e. give up her love for him & move on just like when she handed her ring to him to get him give up his love for her & return to Zurich for treatment.
3# she threw their rings into the lake as breakup (& no makeup again) of their relationship which she promised him. Her love for him has become deadly to his health/life as he would respond/reciprocate (also to compensate for his 4 years failures) even sacrificing himself for her.
4# his email was written at home(??) after running out of hospital with XiaoMu enroute to Kunming to die. Birthday cards were prepared before Kunming flight since he was in ICU/coma/bed-ridden subsequently.

I was addicted this drama did watched all the episodes and looking for Godfrey in Instagram coz i really like him on this drama but then fount out he passed away i just can't accept 😭but on this drama hes telling we must move on 😭

Was happy to see they got married at last. The union of that is her beautiful memory for life. Think she should of kept the rings and scarf Rene gave her, that his grandmother knitted. She can move on, but keeping some precious items for memory is ok. Memories can bring smiles to her life, that love is forever…and can never can be broken, even in his absence. Thankful that death in reality is just a peaceful sleep, and with Jesus’s second coming, He will raise us up to meet Him in the sky….to be with Him forever.
