I think I'm going to have a lot of "Erin made me do it" items this year! You asked if anyone has made handmade ornaments. Well...one year we made some paper ornaments and hung them using some baker's twine. The day after decorating the tree we woke up to many of the ornaments on the ground and a bunch of missing baker's twine. Turns out our cats enjoyed a game of take the ornaments off and eat the string. Thankfully we did not have any heath issues with them since they ate the string! Haven't tried homemade ornaments since.
We used to put tinsel on our tree when I was a kid. Than we noticed tinsel hanging out of our cats butt, she had been eating it! She didn't seem to get sick but we didn't use tinsel anymore!
Agree with all the comments. Erin, you are such a wonderful addition to the world of Stampin Up! Inspiring video. And I was already a big fan of many of the items in the Sept - Dec 2024 mini-catalogue.
I’m so glad that you joined us at Stampin Up. I’ve followed your channel for a few years and enjoy your scrapbooking style. Now I get to be inspired with your ideas using Stampin Up products!
Whop can pick a favorite? Not me! They are all so pretty and thanks for such a wonderfully detailed introduction to these beautiful things. Your cards are absolutely beautiful!
Thank you Sharon! I love the lanterns too, I don't know what it is but they are so pretty in all seasons. I have a bunch of lanterns with twinkle lights scattered around my yard and they make me happy.
This catalogue is filled with so many goodies! I love your samples. The frozen edges die set can also be used for dripping frosting or as blood on Halloween projects. TFS your ideas. ❤️
Looking through the catalog and seeing the projects and ideas is like being in a candy store as a kid. There are so many wonderful items to choose from. I am a fall person, and all the fall sets are my favorite.
Oh my gosh, I wasn't going to order anything from this catalog because I told myself I have plenty of Christmas supplies. BUT... after seeing all of your beautiful ideas, I gave in.😏 Also the pretty Splendid Autumn DSP...can't resist. Love your catalog walk throughs!
So much good stuff! This was a great review of the catalog, thank you. All of your card samples were so beautiful and definitely makes me change my mind on certain items. That shepherd card is my absolute favorite ❤.
Call me crazy, but I stayed up until 2 am EST to be on the SU website the minute this catalog launched last night. Lots of juicy good craftiness in this catalog, but what I really love are the Autumn workshops offered online. I also couldn’t resist 2 packs of the Elegance paper. Even the “B” sides are breathtaking. Of course my wallet objected, but a crafter’s gotta do what a crafter’s gotta do, right?! I hope everyone enjoys their goodies. Thanks, Erin, for showing it all off and inspiring us.❤️
ERIN!!! You made me want so much more !!! And I love it!!! Esp love the cards and all the ideas you suggested!! Oh my pocket book is getting into trouble again!!
I love the idea of using those vintage style photo album sheets for your ephemera!!! Thank you! I have two albums that I got from a thrift store that I loved the cover and they have those style pages and I didn't know what I was going to do with them!
I love the photo mounting sheets idea for ephemera storage! So awesome. I agree that they have come a long way lol. I just ordered that 50 ct pack of passport pockets yesterday. I think I will like them better than the Avery ones because sometimes the little fused tabs at the top make the pocket just barely too small to slip my embellishment pack in. "Thinking of you this Christmas" could be used as a title or subtitle on a page about someone you are missing who is no longer with us. I also cannot resist a pine tree stamp. I have resisted the Frosted Forest so far, but I'm wearing down. I may just buy the masks, but I know I'll want the stamp once I have the mask. *Sigh* My favorites are the Splendid Autumn and Reindeer Days suites. I'm sorry for the paragraph lol. I just loved your video 😆.
Great video! I was working on my order when I was notified that you had this video. I should have finished my order but I decided to watch before finalizing my order. Big mistake on my part, you ‘made’ me spend more than I had planned. Oh, well, I will enjoy using everything and I looking forward to your future videos using all the products.
Thank you for taking the time to go through the catalogue, I was hoping it would be online but until now no one has shown it at all. I always used to watch your walk through the CTMH catalogues so happy that you are going to continue the practice.
You are very welcome! SU has a strict policy you can’t show the inside of the catalog before it is live so you might see more walkthroughs starting today. I am glad you enjoy these videos.
I love all your artwork Erin! I,too, have challenged myself to create with the Splendid Autumn DSP. I love the Sentimental DSP, too. I’m currently very much into all things vintage!
Erin, amazing art work and you have convinced me to place yet another order. Can you tell me where you got your envelopes that you use to store your dies that you then place into the stamp case?
Hi Sandra, thank you so much! I had a lot of fun creating these cards. These are the plastic envelopes I use inside the SU cases for die storage amzn.to/4eb7727
Not to tempt you Erin, but Stampin’ Up sells a plaid background stamp that was probably used for the card you recreated. It’s called Sketched Plaid Cling Stamp. Item #161464. It’s in my cart! Just sayin’ Love your videos. So inspirational♥️
I wonder, why they can't make a pattern paper with only one side? so when you want to use/cut for example reindeer from one side, you don't lose the other side? isn't it a waste? or is it made so you want to buy more of them in case you want to use both sides?
Sometimes it makes me sad because they will put both of my favorite patterns on opposite sides and you have to choose but you do get two of the same sheets. I enjoy having both sides printed because it gives you more variety or if you don't really love a side you can use the other.
Hello Renee, if you do not already have a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator I would be happy to send you a catalog. You can click on the “contact me” on my website and provide your mailing address. erinjacobson.stampinup.net/
