Those of us who use the hobonichi planners understand the value of a sewn binding that lies flat - so helpful while you're wrangling your knitting and trying to follow something in the book. As usual, so well thought out. Thank you! I preordered your book and got it Tuesday - I am saving it as an incentive for when I get my work done (that earning a living thing often gets in the way of our knitting...);).

So thrilled with my book! Also noticed the sewn binding and was impressed, as I rarely see that anymore. The only drawback for me, is that I haven’t gotten to sit down and read it as long as I want. I wish that I would have had this as a new knitter. What a difference it would have made! I’ll definitely post a review to Amazon, once I’m finished reading. Wonderful so far! I’m learning so much, even just the make up of a stitch and how it’s created and positioned on the needles & why we wrap the yarn a certain way. If only I’d had this information when I started knitting in my 40’s. (I wouldn’t have felt so behind those knitters that started as children.) Thanks Patty! I knew when it was you, it would be well done with clear explanations, but it’s so much more.

At first, I had a little moment of disappointment because when I first opened it I thought grrr it's not a lay flat book - that was just a little grr because I then saw the sewn binding 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 -- I just also randomly opened and read that section and as I embark on my first sweater in decades that section was on swatching, gauge and fit :D -- so so happy with your book and that it is part of my library!
I was just starting to read my copy that I pre-ordered. I made the mistake of leaving it on the table and my dog chewed the cover and corners off! I don't know if it was a hint to me not to knit so much or not, but my son (who was supposed to be monitoring him) already ordered another copy for me before I even knew about the damage. I can't wait to receive my 2ND copy!

I have Kobo and it does the same thing re acting like a pdf on the ereader and iOS app, and it also makes two pages into one. I hope an update comes available soon and is free. I bought it, as well as the paperback, as I want to have it with me everywhere I knit, which is everywhere!
I've never heard of a Kobo. What file do you use? A kindle file, a nook, a google ebook, an apple ebook. On the kindle app and app ereader, when you rotate, it's one page, or hold it horizontal it's two pages.

I’m trying to find out what file format it uses but the internet is no help, maybe your publisher can find out? If I flip it on either my iPad or iPhone, it does the same so I have to stretch it to read it which is kinda awkward. Help? Sorry if this adds extra work for you, I know you’re a very busy lady 💐

Patty I love your book. Just a constructive criticism. I am a senior and I find the text very light and difficult to read. I wish it was a darker black and not grey or the text was a bit larger. Donna Lopez
It's 10 - 12 pt type, which is standard to large for a paperback of this size. We only used grey (instead of black) on a few ares of the text, and those few pages are going to black text, but I'm afraid a paper back of this size couldn't use larger type.

Well, I don’t think this video helped me at all. I haven’t ordered your book yet. I’ve internally been debating print or kindle, leaning towards kindle for “being available” as long as my phone was with me. Now, knowing the quality of the physical book, I may end up “needing” both. 😅

I have a Kobo too, Kobos use KEPUB which is essentially a modified epub.

Love the book but my pages are not sequential. I must have got a faulty copy and it has confused me so much I cannot follow it

Regret buying kindle version as use my iPad all the time not kindle
The kindle version works very well on the ipad using the kindle app. When you rotate it, it becomes one page, very easy to zoom in on.
