During the pandemic, Jake Johnson had an email set up - you could send him a message and he would send you a voice memo back in character as Peter B. Parker - he sent our kids messages telling them to stay safe and healthy. The man is a sweetheart
He sent me one for my nephew! It was honestly so cool for the both of us. My nephew got a message from spiderman and I got a message from spiderman and nick miller 😂. But yea, he seems like such a genuine guy
The fact that last meals has become its own show to the degree where Jake doesn’t know who Rhett and Link are is CRAZY to me. Josh has got something special on his hands and he knows it!
Mythical kitchen should document the preparation behind each Last Meals guest, and post it alongside every new episode. I feel like it would be really cool to see
He feels like a real person if that makes sense. What Josh said about him trying to get just famous and rich enough to keep acting feels like it sums it up.
@@BillyRebwell he’s not dying now so of course he’s gonna eat the vegan options and even if he didn’t he’s still allergic and i’m sure he wouldn’t want to die while having an allergic reaction

It's Nicole's shock and reaction throughout the ostrich farm bit that got me. Now I need Link's input on this story! 😅 Maybe get Jake to guest in a GMM episode so that he meet Link and understand why such a gift is "normal" for him?
or they make a video there for their rhett and link channel. tangentially related to GMM but not necessarily main channel content. there would be too much backstory for the main channel for it to make sense for the casual viewer. but on their rhett and link channel, it could work, cuz only the die hard fans tend watch that channel and those fans should have an idea about why theyre filming at this particular ostrich farm.
Fr that ostrich farm would have been a great Rhett and Link video. I can’t even imagine the twists and turns they would create! Like the ostriches becoming Rhett and link, or they were the ostriches the whole time 😶
I’m shocked but mostly find it stinking hilarious that Link got the Ostrich gift! Honestly the reaction being Links is 10x funnier 😂 definitely unexpected but a welcome surprise 😂
them trying to explain Link as a person and boss was gold, bet Jake had a more corporate thing in mind hearing he was the CEO and all but i think quirky summed it up the best 😂
I kind of agree. I go back and forth on my favorite spiderman, but he's definitely up there. He's kinda like the best parts of every spiderman rolled up into one.
I remember that episode of ‘we’re here to help’ about the ostrich farm. I never would’ve imagined in a million years that the boss was link, which makes it so much funnier.
Grats on Chris who came on to tell that Ostrich farm ticket story and stick with it. You could tell they were extremely anxious and did not feel fully comfortable being on camera, but well done man!
Wanted to say the same! I probably would've been even worse knowing I was talking to a celebrity while simultaneously being filmed for a video that potentially has millions of views so props to them!
I wonder which was harder for them. Talking to Jake in person, because they obviously enjoy Jake, or just being on camera. Either way. We'll done indeed. Made for such an awesome moment. 👏
The fact that Jake had no idea who Link was goes to show just how hands off R & L are about Mythical Kitchen. You'd think this big celeb they have on site would at least get a glance between shoots of the two head honchos, but no, they have a huge amount of trust in the MK crew to be their own people.
This is my favorite episode so far. Jake really made it feel like just a conversation between a bunch of friends. This episode is HILARIOUS and the ostrich farm bit took me out 😂
Jake Johnson agreed to be a celebrity guest for our Big Hearts Pagent - a night where individuals with special needs can have their moment on stage and he was an absolute pleasure to work with. A standup guy for sure!
As a person who also grew up with a single mom with a completely absent dad that only reached out as he was dying when I was 26, it's always interesting to hear other people's stories of being raised by a single mom. My mom worked 4 jobs so we always had heat and food and a roof over our head and I'm eternally grateful her effort allowed me to stay safe and get to where I am today with a good job and a master's degree. The stability she provided in my formative years was key!
