As a person who also grew up with a single mom with a completely absent dad that only reached out as he was dying when I was 26, it's always interesting to hear other people's stories of being raised by a single mom. My mom worked 4 jobs so we always had heat and food and a roof over our head and I'm eternally grateful her effort allowed me to stay safe and get to where I am today with a good job and a master's degree. The stability she provided in my formative years was key!

I clicked on this video while multitasking, ignorant to the name and face of Jake Johnson, however the minute my ads ended and he started speaking I immediately heard Peter B. Parker and got excited! His voice is so pleasant to hear, almost has the same cool dad energy as Bandit from the show Bluey.
Watch new girl, the later seasons are the best in my opinion. He has amazing chemistry with the other men stars in that show. They’re all extremely goofy and entertaining.

Didnt expect to be tearing up watching this..i had a similar situation with my dad, in and out of my life growing up, had kids and suddenly he cared, which i resented, then he got ALS and I held on to that resentment until the last time i saw him. He died 5 days after I had finally let go of my resentment and all I want is just one more conversation.

My mom died when she was 40 in a homeless shelter in Calgary. She was an addict wasn't given the proper resources to cope with her trauma and demons. It took until years after she passed to forgive her. There's no answer to how one should grieve, it's literally different for everyone.
Im still saving several of these to watch (including Gordon) but i couldnt let Jake go by! He's such a fabulous actor and cannot wait to see his directing chops! Amazing!

Truly enjoying the last meals it’s one of the best shows ever made. A dream guest for me would be Peter Stormare, I honestly believe that he might have some interesting choice of food as well as some interesting stories to tell.

Self Reliance was great. Im so happy for Jake creating his dream project. I never watched New Girl but Ive come to love this guy from his podcast and his movie.
Nicole’s reactions also had me in tears. As if this wasn’t awesome enough her reactions are the cherry on top. 😂😂
Truly enjoying the last meals it’s one of the best shows ever made. A dream guest for me would be Peter Stormare, I honestly believe that he might have some interesting choice of food as well as some interesting stories to tell.
A cheese burger and fries being apart of Johnson’s last meal feels fitting knowing he played Peter B Parker.
