Thanks for breaking down the Adizero Adios Pro Evo 1. It's clear that these shoes are designed for elite runners chasing records. While they may not be for everyone, they definitely serve a purpose for those with specific goals. Keep running strong, Stelvio, and thanks for the review!
Exactly, for those ones who need to qualify for something important or achieve their most important goal... Thank you for watching and for the support! 😊
For anyone trying to get a PB and can afford it it's worth it. My friend who is old and slow loves to travel to run a marathon abroad. So flights.. Hotels.. Food.. The $500 shoe is really not important.. So you can get Alphafly for $270.. So you save $230 on a trip that cost $3000+.. Enjoy life. Buy it. By the way.. My friend has it. Says EVOLUTION not revolution. He did already about 100k including a Marathon and says shoe is still new.
This is valid perspective, absolutely, and everything is relative. Everyone is free to spend his money as he prefers... and if it brings joy to him, why not!? as you said enjoy life. So 100k, interesting, at least 2 marathons and a 10km are in! Thank you so much for watching and for your comment! 😊👍🏃🏻♂️
My take is the average Joe wants to have the very same tools of the pro athlete, even when it's evidence proven to get not only no advantage of using them, but often even substantial drawbacks. This applies to many sports, you just think about cycling, skiing, mountaineering; regardless of the huge price paid. It's a matter of looks, self-esteem boost, blind trust in "professional" tools of the trade, you name it... And spending big money guarantees results and, if not, at least the belonging to the elite club. Nike taught amateurs runners a great lesson in superior marketing skills; Adidas follows the trend.
Yes, indeed, and the 3h30' benchmark is too "kind" 🙂 or maybe smart... I see this shoe maybe for someone who runs already 2h10' the marathon, well under this benchmark. But as you said it is not only a matter of performance but also of looks and self- esteem... Let's put like that, I have enough self-esteem and no huge goals in front of me... to don't buy this shoe 😊👍
The shoe is crazy cool looking but $500 is WAY too much. I think the super shoes make it easier on our bodies to run but it hasnt really yielded any huge drop in elite times in my opinion. There were numerous sub 2:03 marathons run in the old takumi sens.
Yes, indeed, I would be curious to test it out, collecting the data and comparing them either to AP3 or TS9. Thanks for watching and for the comment! 🏃🏻♂️🏃🏻♂️🏃🏻♂️
Unless you're someone who can run a 5k in around 12-17 mins then don't bother. This is not for you, unless you're buying it for collection purposes to put on a shelf in a glass case 🧐
@@runningwithstelvio Yup too expensive for most regardless. But definitely pointless for the average runner. You'll be surprised how many people think if they buy a "supershoe" they will magically be faster.

They last much longer than people say.

Golf clubs are even more expensive, racing bikes teeter around 9-12000....so perhaps its a steal ....but haters gonna hate

I totally agree! But then, it means that I can get one?! I run in 16mins the 5k ;-) Too expensive for my goals...
