There's so many movies center around the Eagles, I'm looking forward to watching Jordan's movie because how can you not make a movie about his journey because he's living his best life at this moment.
I never thought my favorite player would be an offensive tackle. From his story, to being an athletic freak, him picking up his teammates after every play. It's impossible not to love this guy. Since he made the eagles I wanted him so badly to line up in the backfield on the goal line. Make it happen Sirianni !
This episode is just further proof that Jordan is an international treasure. We especially love him in Philly. If the Eagles are smart, they will keep him here for however long he wants to play.
Jason/Travis is kind of right re the scrum. Rugby league scrum is all pageantry, rugby union srcum though is as legit as it gets. 8 v 8, each scrum side totals about 900kg pack weight so a lot of force colliding there. Love the rugby talk!! Jordan is a legend down here in the southern hemisphere!
Packers fan but I've been watching New Heights for a few weeks and love it! Love these guys. They seem so genuine and you can feel the brotherly affection. The world needs more of this and less of all of the hate.

Australian here. Our government has FINALLY fixed the NZ-Australian citizenship problem, so it should now be a lot easier to get Oz citizenship. It was a weird anomaly that existed for too long, but as Australia and New Zealand have reciprocal arrangements anyway (residency, rights etc) it was never really addressed in the past.
@@DavidWard14 Yes a pretty beat up version. Left out half the crowd departed before half time "No official NFL matches have been played in Australia, but an exhibition game between the Denver Broncos and San Diego Chargers was held in Sydney in 1999 in front of a huge crowd at Stadium Australia."

This episode was so much fun. My face is literally hurting from smiling the whole time. BTW, I also identify as an Aussie, well, because I am one, and something really needs to be done to correct that for Jordan. NZ can have its Pavlova, but they will never get our Mailata. One other important difference that Jordan should've mentioned was that Rugby League has 6 offensive downs, whereas Rugby Union has an unlimited number of downs. I know that may be hard to comprehend, but that's how it is. Edit: So apparently the Australian Prime minister, The Honorable Anthony Albanese, has just stated that Jordans Aussie citizenship will be fast tracked. We did it people! Something only made possible with the help of New Heights and the 92%'ers. Is there truly nothing we can't achieve? 😃 *Having Mr Swift on the podcast is my next suggestion. A little centre on centre verbal shenanigans would be golden. Do it Jason, Make it so. Imagine how much fun that would be.
Even that description of the differences between rugby league and union isn’t enough. They are completely different sports with big similarities. Breakdowns, set pieces all make a huge difference. 13 rugby league players who generally are broadly a similar build - whereas 15 rugby Union players who have completely different builds 1-15 as a result of scrums(mainly)
Correct, for rugby league - we just call the "downs" tackles, and you only get 6 from receiving the ball from a kick off. The goal is to move the ball down field to the try (end) zone, only passing backwards (no forward passes) to other players, within those 6 tackles. If a penalty is awarded to your team during play, your team will receive another set of tackles, numbered Zero through Five.
I don’t even watch football, but I absolutely LOVE these guys😂❤ The best podcast ever. I get to learn so much about something new and get to see these high-level gentlemen show their lives outside the sport. Very inspirational.
I remember Jordan being interviewed on GMFB before he got selected in the draft and thinking that I hoped the Eagles took a chance on him! I didn’t think it would actually happen, but sure enough! Howie made the pick! So happy to see how far he’s come since Draft Weekend and can’t wait to see what else he does!

There's so many movies center around the Eagles, I'm looking forward to watching Jordan's movie because how can you not make a movie about his journey because he's living his best life at this moment.
Jordan is one of my favorite NFL players! Huge respect for his hard work!
I never thought my favorite player would be an offensive tackle. From his story, to being an athletic freak, him picking up his teammates after every play. It's impossible not to love this guy. Since he made the eagles I wanted him so badly to line up in the backfield on the goal line. Make it happen Sirianni !
He is no Athletic freak, if that is the case nost NFL players must have pacemakers😂 No Jordan has found his niche
This episode is just further proof that Jordan is an international treasure. We especially love him in Philly. If the Eagles are smart, they will keep him here for however long he wants to play.
Jason/Travis is kind of right re the scrum. Rugby league scrum is all
pageantry, rugby union srcum though is as legit as it gets.
Life long Packer fan and soon-to-be 3rd generation season ticket holders...my fellow Cheesehead, you've been missing out! Been watching since the first episode of the first season and they are a hoot. This was my favorite guest episode, then his parents, and then maybe Kylie.
I cannot get over how real and genuine these guys are - just good dudes. Nice to see positivity on-line…let’s start a new trend.
One of the most humble nfl player. I love Jordan man
Cool to hear Jordan’s story!! It could literally be a movie. He’s a stud in the league. 👍🏾
Try not to fabricate too much, otherwise you will lose any Aussie audience
So crazy about the Australian citizenship thing. This man needs his citizenship from his country. Didn’t know much about Mailata but loved him on here
As an Aussie, i think we should rectify this 😅. I feel like as a sports loving country we would want to get on top of this?
Damn Santi you hella cute
Children born in Australia, with a birth certificate issued in Australia, are not automatically Australian citizens or Australian permanent residents. To be an Australian citizen, at least one parent must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident of Australia at the time of the child's birth
God damn…. Jordan is awesome. Jason kept talking about how awesome he is. Now I see what he meant. Let’s gooo!! This could’ve been 3 hrs long and I would’ve listen the whole time. It was fun.
Jason is an awesome interviewer and asked the difficult questions. His ability to dig and ask great questions is a gift🖤💚 If they don’t want to answer, so be it.
Jordans so awesome. PLEASE have him back on more often. Friggin hilarious
Jordan Mailata is amazingly quick and so Smart! So happy to see this interview!! So sweet the way he proposed to his wife and loved listening to his Sisters interview about him coming to America!!
And Jordan Mailata said,
that American Football, is definitely TOUGHER and hit HARDER, than Aussie Ruby !
Sorry Aussie Ruby players ! 😂

I must say Jordan Mailata's story about coming to American from Australia is very fascinating. I also loved how he included singing in the episode.
Bro I ran into Jordan at the Club two weeks ago and he's even bigger in person!!! i fuckin love that guy!!! Smile even better in person!!!
I’m a fan of this guy now loved this interview! I would rock a Mailata jersey after watching this
Australia is the my favorite place I’ve ever visited. It’s amazing. Let’s make an NFL game happen there!
We already have had a NFL Game. No not a success more of a disaster
Preseason, many years ago.
@@DavidWard14 Yes a pretty beat up version. Left out half the crowd departed before half time
"No official NFL matches have been played in Australia, but an exhibition game between the Denver Broncos and San Diego Chargers was held in Sydney in 1999 in front of a huge crowd at Stadium Australia."
@@robertryan7204 I didn't think it was that bad. Maybe my memories are tainted because I got to go onto the field at half time as part of the Australian team (I had to get that into this conversation somewhere :-) )
@@DavidWard14 Maybe not bad as as a NFL game, but having half of the actual 20000 in attendance leave at half time is a real BAD result for any sport played in Australia
Jordan has such a great energy! It is good to have them all together. Great chemistry. And I loved Travis with the Hugh Jackman shoutout.
Jordan is one of my favorite players. He seems like such a good dude.
Met Jordan in the Reading Terminal when we 1st signed him. He was so damn nice.
Listening to this in Huddersfield, England. The Birthplace of Rugby League, and even if you're not a big Rugby fan, which I'm not, Rugby League is just part of life in my Town
*Having Mr Swift on the podcast is my next suggestion.
Thank You. These guest episodes are really interesting to “meet” and get to know other players/non player guests.
As a non-eagles nor non-chiefs fan, absolutely love the podcast and Jordan is really cool person!
Jordan is such a great story. Instant Eagles legend.
This was amazing! You are an amazing human Jordan. I hope and pray you have a looooonggggg and healthy career as a Philadelphia Eagle! We love all you guys.
If it were possible to manufacture an NFL left tackle in a lab, Jordan Mailata would be the end product.
When I first heard of him, I watched the documentary of his story in the IPP. I literally thought to myself, "If this guy can process the information required to play the game, he's going to be a star".
Remarkable athlete.
I truly enjoyed this podcast of New Heights and Jordan Mailata. The energy, love, history and comedy along with candy... left such a sweet taste in my mouth and a gigantic smile on my face We need a part 2 with Jordan
Best accent for sure in the nfl. What a cool guy. Good to learn more about Jordan!
Jordan has always been my guy his story should be a movie
Jordan can really sing like a professional, and his Rugby highlights are really amazing.
Watching this live from 🇵🇹 following the NFL since Quarterback and ever since I found New Heights I don’t miss it
I've been following this guy since the beginning of his journey to the NFL.
Watching that show and the entire process was cool to see.
Now years later 🎉
Born and raised in Minnesota as a Packer fan, Go Pack Go!, moved to NM, then to MO. I thought Packer fan were the craziest, Nope The Kingdom is insane. I have become a Chiefs fan and thru this podcast Love the Eagles now too. Thanks Jason and Travis!
Your neighbor in Sconnie...us Cheeseheads might not be the craziest but we are the most loyal and have the biggest, worldwide fan base.
This was one of my favorite episodes!!!!! What an awesome, entertaining episode! Jordan is a gem!!! Loved hearing his story, his success and all about the Aussie candy!
Australian candy is the best thing ever invented
Instantly one of my favorite episodes.
The one with Charles Barkley was probably my favorite.
I started watching the Eagles at the same time I started watching football back in ‘09. The high I’ve had being an Eagles fan man… seeing these guys represent my team makes me so proud.
OH MY GOD, LETS GOOOOOO. You genuinely have absolutely no idea how badly and how long I've wanted this New Heights episode. Finally all my prayers and begging has been answered.
This is now my new favorite episode ever released.
When you make the post before you’ve even seen the pod 🤡
@@davidslone2937hit em with the 🤡 face lol
@@davidslone2937he's allowed to do that, plus he's definitely saying it's his favorite bc of Mailata being in it, not bc he heard the conversation.
@@davidslone2937 fuck are you talking about bro, Mailata is what made me an NFL fan and an Eagles fan. This is my favourite episode because of that. Have been wanting this one for a long time.
@@Leaferr and my favorite Taylor swift album is the one she hasn’t released yet
Loved this - it is such a unique story, and fun to hear all the cultural things. Thank you for interviewing him.
Travis, good luck with your game against Dolphins!! You got this!! 💪🏼Let’s go!! ❤💛
This could have been 4 hours long. Went by so fast. Love Jordan.
🙌best one yet.. please bring other teammates on New heights.. love hearing from your teammates perspective of the game and their back story👊🫶
Jalen Hurts episode was the best! Or Mahomes even
As a former high level rugby union back I agree. I've always said if Americans took rugby as serious as football they would rule the world. So many great athletes
