I love this song because it reminds me of my parents. They were married for 21 years before things fell apart; they met in their late teens. They were friends for nearly 30 years. Everyone thought they were going to make it. Whenever they were happy together, it was the best feeling in the world for me. It was heartbreaking to witness the fall out, the slow decay. To see them fall out of love with each other. Now, I'm just trying my best to pick up the pieces so I can go live my own life, on my terms. So I don't have to suffer the consequences of other people's choices, so I can have actual control over the circumstances around me. So I don't have to experience that pain ever again.

How can a music song " save" your life?
it's a joke reference to a tiktok where a person reacted very dramtically to a taylor swift song and she said it saved her life lol 😭 @@dpourdesign
"you never gave a warning sign" "i gave so many signs" basically explains how he thought he was doing everything he could for her and he thought she was ok but he just wasnt paying enough attention because she was giving so many signs. and the "i think ive seen this film before" theyve both been through breakups like this and they both know that its abt to be over
Swifties: *crying because we never got any warning signs of a new album*
Taylor: "I gave so many signs"
This comment though 😂😂
Oof
I covered her song you need to calm down 🎶💕❤️🎶please check it out enjoy 💚🎶And I’m learning more Taylor
At last

Yesss I'm so happy!! Hope it will win!!
You have got to be joking!?
if the song win I hope they receive the price together (joe and taylor)
@@isurvived2023
Why exactly?
I'm not a fan of Taylor but this song is pure genius. A big favorite of mine and really heartbreaking.
WE SAVIN’ LIVES WITH THIS ONE!!!!
Bon iver's voice is deeper than Atlantis
His name is Justin Vernon. Study bro, study.

Stop being Disrespectful to Taylor. She is so talented ✨.
Ikr I was watching her Grammy behind the scene video and it was like released 10 mins ago and it already had 2 dislikes, like did you even finish watching the video? Why do people hate her so much?
I think justin beiber copied this song for holy
@@funnyusername7097 because she's talented and super successful, and there's something called ✨ jealousy ✨
THIS IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL SONG ON FOLKLORE. PERIODT.
Yeah, tbh beside this one I can't tell apart the other songs one another haha
I AGREE.
This and "My Tears Ricochet"
You know this changes from week to week. That's the magic of Taylor Swift 😊
I agree
thank you for the song, joe. Beautiful piano playing
HAPPY TTPD RELEASE WEEK MY FELLOW GIRLIES!!!!!!
Taylor Swift: I GAVE SO MANY SIGNS
This part hits different, what a powerful meaning.
Amber Bautista it’s not that deep...
@@snowpiercer8001 ok
IKR I love it
I know
yes!! and her voice captures the perfect emotion for it: like.. disappointment? yeah
if this song was the soundtrack of a movie, it would certainly have won an Oscar
💯💯💯
Btw I covered this do lemme know what u think about it
A B S O L U T E L Y .
wish they would really put it as a soundtrack in a movie
@Jasmine Mariyam omg really!isn't that a show?
This cannot be a soundtrack for a film because the lyrics themselves tell just an intricate story. The plot would have to match this song perfectly
This song saved my life 😢
"Taylor Swift's 'Exile' is a bittersweet masterpiece that never fails to evoke deep emotions. Every time I listen, it's like taking a journey through heartbreak and longing. The collaboration with Bon Iver adds another layer of poignant beauty. The way they reply to each other in the song is pure magic-the voices, the emotions-it's all so incredibly moving. 'Exile' is a sad song that I can't help but love for its raw and haunting beauty. 🌌🎶"
Taylor dropped the whole album.
Fans: "You never gave a warning sign!!"
She really did gurllll
Taylor: "I gave so many signs. But you didn't even the signs"
World: *Going into choas*
Taylor Swift: Behold my children.. Folklore!!!
World: YOU NEVER GAVE US ANY WARNING!!
And she actually gave us signs. In Joe Alwyn's insta, he was in a tracksuit in a forest with black and white filter. This is him. In the video.
hahaha
The fact that she says, "So I'm leaving out the side door." and he says, "So step right out." In other words: we are done, go ahead.
wow.
Hey have u seen Exile by Taylor Swift but you're Driving in the rain?
Wow indeed.
I can't i love this
And it's also said "side door" represents the exit door in movie theatres...."I think I've seen this film before and I didn't like the ending" they know they are going into a sad ending.... so one person is stepping out (escaping) before the movie (sad fated love)ends
roblox me. yas the same thing as
Literal perfection and idk why nobody talked about this song. It is absolutely amazing, so underrated and poetic
this song is an actual masterpiece!
Who else is thinking this should get song of year. This is a masterpiece.

I hope Exile win the grammys. and Folkrole as well too.
If dua lipa or taylor win . I will never be mad . The two deserve it
Yes! folklore will win Album Of The Year at the Grammys on January 31, 2021!
exile will definitely win Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the Grammys on January 31, 2021!
@@ajsc11 I think so, taylor will win album of the year, and Dua Lipa will win song of the year. It's my prediction, but u guys can do yours
I hope.... Let the future decide... But this Grammy is fan vote...
I’m currently in love with folklore and this song just make me wanna cry for some reason
I JUST REALISED THAT HIS LYRICS ARE ON THE LEFT, HERS ON THE RIGHT, AND THE LINES THEY SING TOGETHER IN THE MIDDLE. I NEVER REALISED THAT OMG
"I'm not your problem anymore, so who am I offending now?"
Beautiful. Just absolutely.
I couldn't really understand the meaning
She doesnt belong to him anymore so he shouldn't be offended by her actions like at the beginning laughing with another man's arms around her
I can’t believe I lived in a world without this song. That must’ve been so rough for me wow glad that’s over
🤣🤣🤣 you can relieved now...
I feel the same
LMAO. Actually that’s my feeling about this whole album tbh 😂😂
Me too

This song - reminds me of heartbreak and excitement. A bitter sweet symphony.

at this point, there's no emotion Taylor hasn't written a masterpiece for.
She is queen
W8 till she writes another album. Bet you'll take your words back. Cuz she never ceases to amaze us. 💜💜💜
Taylor will invent more emotions to write songs about
There are some emotions so difficult to put into words that very few artists have attempted to capture them in song. Taylor has created amazing songs for so many emotions, but there are some rare, complex emotions that even she hasn’t ventured to capture in a song.
i think she writes for just one emotion
“Second third and hundredth chances” THAT HIT ME SO HARD BECAUSE ITS SO TRUE😭
This song is incredible. ❤😢❤
"Cause you never gave a warning sign...I gave so many signs"
That's it. That's the lyric.
Perfect male and female perspective.
ouch
Exactly, those lines hit me every time.
Loved those
haha Yeah..nightmare for solo singers, guitar-singers et al. But I guess, some songs are better only heard as they are by the original artists.
Taylor's voice has always sounded the LOVELIEST singing folk music. Safe and Sound, amirite? Amazing. This is the album I never thought we would get.
Agreed!
true going back to era of safe and sound... gaves me chills listening to taylor swifts songs this worse 2020
Agreed. I say this as someone who wouldn’t call themself a Swiftie but man I was waiting for more stuff like Safe and Sound and Style. Turns out, her better stuff is the ones that are usually not released as singles.
@@yvette4948 yeah right.. been waiting for her release since the last songs she recorded.. for lgbtq singles Me and You need to calm down.
