Get this guy in this guy back in the UFC Dana! Diaz - GSP is an intriguing match up. I would have to put my money on GSP, I mean how can you not? But I would be interested to see George's strategy, he might not have the edge standing so may prefer to take it to the ground, but Diaz has wicked submissions so he'd have to be really careful there too.
@fing85 I think Nick would have a major reach advantage over Paul, and if they did fight, I see Nick taking Paul down if he's actually getting clipped by him. That being said, it'd be an amazing fight that will probably never happen =(

@Garuda1337 gsp doesnt "spoon" his opponents he takes them down and passes pretty much every time and gets in a dominant position every time and GnP's them or goes for submission attempts. rewatch his fight with dan hardy and tell me he just laid on top of hardy without trying to hurt the man.

@MegaGb1990 name one fight Diaz has fought at 183... he never has. The fight with Miller needs to happen, but it should happen at 180 or 179.
@Laneooo1 actually hes not in the ufc cause dana wont take him back due to the fact that he doesnt as dana states "play the game" which means be a sportsman he got in a fight at the hospital after his fight for example he almost fought mayham yesterday after the noons fight thats why hes not in the ufc otherwise he would be in the ufc

@Super007steve you said that Diaz "clearly wants to get resigned by the ufc" well he just signed a multi year deal with strike force. So he must not want to go back to the UFC. So the question still stands... why does he keep calling out ufc fighters that he knows he will never get to face?

he'll make a good check against GSP, but its a tough fight for him . . .
not sure how much nick weighs but he trains so hard and everyday and triathalons too

he always says he wants to fight "the best in the world" BUT he knows the best in the world are in the UFC... and he left the UFC. He also knows that there is NO way he is going to get fight GSP outside the UFC.

@metalhedd365 Jason Miller only fought at 205 once. He is a middleweight (185). He fought GSP at 170.
It's very easy for someone to say "Diaz is ducking Miller", because Nick goes on record and says that he will fight at 185, 170 & 155, but he will not fight Mayhem at middleweight.
I agree, they are both excellent fighters, but I give the edge to Diaz.

dana white has stated he wants him in the ufc but is reluctant to offer him because he refuses to "play the game," because he doesnt really behave himself...plus strikeforce lets him box professionally and the ufc wont
Yea, GSP vs Nick would be amazing... but he is not as marketable as Georges, so Dana would probably never make it happen unfortunately.

@RSXellence You gotta give Fitch some credit, if George St. Pierre had never decided to be a fighter, chances are Fitch would probably be one of the longest running UFC champions right now.
this guy is a great fighter. Dont knock someone with great talent just because he has attention deficit disorder. Last time I checked this is MMA not a speech class. If you want good speeches dont watch MMA.
@piratebri paul has good takedown defence! ok kos could take him down but kos is awesome at wrestling and i think your wrong the fight will probably happen they are both fighting for strikeforce in welterweight so i cant see why it wont.
@masterthue no diaz's bjj is as good as penns if not better he got his black belt in 2007 under ceasar gracie so he's 4 years better than a black belt and his conditioning is as goos as gsp's its just a question of who's boxing is better and can diaz stop a takedown

miller doesn't really deserve a fight with diaz tbh diaz can take the fight if he damn well wants to. he's a way more credible fighter. not to say miller's not good, but he's not on diaz's level in his name or skill. this miller vs. diaz fight is only being hyped because of that shit that happened after shields' fight, and all the online trash talk. but in reality, it's not a must happen fight. i wouldn't mind seeing it, but i think nick has his eyes set on bigger and better fights
He's fought everybody? He seems to forget people like Fitch, Alves, Shields, Condit, Kampmann, Koscheck etc. Nick is a great fighter but he hasn't really fought any of the top guys at 170. I also think he still would have the same problem he had his first time in the UFC; that he'll have a big problem with powerful wrestlers that have good submission defense. I would love to see Nick in the UFC though so he could attempt to back up his words. Right now he has no business calling out GSP.
@brazybard its hard to be a fan of such a boring fighter i mean he's definately no.2 p4p and a very good and talented athlete but he just doesnt have any killer instinct he coasts through his fights doing just enough to win and never really showing his full potential... hopefully diaz will bring his full potential out i mean nick is definately his biggest test in a while and hes probably the only person he's fought whos boxing is good enough to test him

@muayboran96 GSP may be losing a step. He looked terrible striking against the worst striker in the world (Jake Shields), and actually got hurt from it.

Sounds like Diaz isn't getting the money he wants to fight. I enjoy his fights and I think he should be paid well.
im gaining more respect for diaz but realistically gsp would murder him. he's not strong enough for gsp and gsp is just too damn good with his takedowns and top position groundwork.
if he wants to fight the best in the world and can make 185 then lets see him fight Silva. I know silva would destroy him. Nothing against diaz but i think for him to reach his full potential he needs to get his ass beat and i mean beat down. he stood with noon because his wrestling was weak and he was unable to take it to the ground. now dont tell me noon has great takedown defense. even if he fights gsp somehow how does he expect to beat gsp with that caliber of wrestling.
Nick is a great fighter, but I can see why he skips press conferences. He should just say no comment to everything and leave it all in the cage.

@JdashRIDE Nick WEIGHED IN at 180 for the Shamrock fight. If you think he didn't weigh more come fight time, then you're smoking some good ol' 209 level crack, homie. He didn't PUT ON weight to get there, he CUT weight to get to 180. Cesar Gracie himself said he had to cut somewhere near 20 pounds for the fight. ON THE VERY SAME VIDEO WE ARE COMMENTING ON, NICK SAYS HE CAN MAKE THE WHOLE SPECTRUM FROM LW to HW.

@MegaGb1990 You should probably look into that a little deeper. your statement is incorrect. sry. Ceaser Gracie offered a catch weight and it was Miller who declined. Diaz was in fact willing to meet half way. yet what people refuse to realize is that it does nothing for Diaz's career. the only person who stands to gain is Miller who isn't recognized as a top fighter. AND Miller walks around at a MUCH heavier weight than Diaz. Respect to both for doing what they do. but calling him a bitch? srs?

@iiPowerHouse Mayhem can't make 170 and shouldn't have taken that GSP fight - he looked like a skeleton. Diaz knows Mayhem is the bigger man and only the bell saved Shields from being put to sleep. Homie could be scared. Jason Miller in 2010 is not Frank Shamrock.

I@m a boxing fan 1st but i like MMA etc + Diaz especially when he stands up, the guy's got great cardio etc I hope he does'nt fight some washed up boxer tho the James Toney thing was sad ass + he'll get clobbered if he fights a current elite boxer. The 2 are different sports and both can be appreciated by sensible folk, its also nice that boxing has a little competition even tho it is only small + mostly in the US hopefully it'll force better match-ups from the big promoters.
@muayboran96 Jake may well be able to beat Nick, simply because Jake would take him down and keep him there forever. Of course, GSP could too, but GSP has been caught in submissions before. But I doubt it would happen against Nick, because GSP isn't careless and hasn't even come close to being submitted in a long time.
Jake's jab hurt his eye. I guess GSP was too cautious because Jake has pretty good wrestling, and one wrong move it would go to the ground. I'd like to think GSP had a bad fight.

a lot of them have a full time job and train boxing or mma after work and take fights whenever they get offered

gsp is very popular and he gets a cut of the ppv and he is making so much money through sponsorships .
I dont understand Nick. He is a great fighter but he lost to Karo Parisyan, who was GSP's debut fight in the UFC, and Nick lost. And when he was in the UFC he lost to Diego Sanchez and Joe Riggs. If you wanna fight GSP, join the UFC and stop makin up BS excuses; esp. when you complain about getting paid less in Strikeforce when the UFC clearly pays more!
I love nick, but hes not beating any of the above - GSP, Alves, Fitch, Sheilds. He MIGHT win a rematch with Sanchez. I do wish Nick would come to the UFC though.
@robnreena Besided the KJ fight in 2007 he has been on a Death March to bad he has such a huge beef with the UFC b/c I am pretty sure there are 3 welterweights at AKA that would beat him
