Nice pull. I also bought my hobby box from Wally’s. I also pulled a regular YG Bedard., but mine didn’t come with the Bruins YG. It was the first hobby box I’ve boughten in decades. LOL. I’m surprised to hear stories that people buy multiple boxes and have yet to get one. When I was at Wally’s yesterday he said myself and another guy pulled a Bedard YG, but the other guy pulled it out of a blaster. Good luck on the PSA grade.
@santodirosa4006 Congrats on pulling a Bedard... and from Wally's too! 😀👍💪Interesting that you didn't find the Bruins Lohrei YGs. I do think both of us got lucky with pulling our Bedard's. Interesting personal stat: Back in 2018, I split a case of 2018 Series 1 with 2 of my buddies. My buddy was the only one to get a Pettersson YGs. So out of 12 boxes, only 1 Petey. ☘😎😢
All I found so far are a Glossy Bedard (not the gold), a UD Portrait Bedard 1:12 and the Bedard young guns checklist Just ordered another box hoping for it’s in it
@FilmPassionprod Oh wow! It's always nice to pull anything Bedard, but it's also a bit of a tease too. 🙄 Wishing you lots of luck in your new box! ☘😀👍🚀🙏☘
@gmansupreme5139 Haha that would be awesome if I could do that. I'd have had 6 Bedards from that single box 😅🤑😆 Stay tuned though as I hope to pull some more voodoo magic and make that Bedard with a slightly bent corner go from a 9 to a PSA 10 🙏😜 Thanks for watching!
Whoohoo! Congrats! I ripped two cases of Series 2. Pulled 4 Bedard YGs and all four had top right edge issues, so congrats on getting one in good shape as well! Hit my first high gloss YG… my heart was pumping, but unfortunately it wasn’t Bedard 😅. It was the D-man from Calgary… a HG all the same
@cardhound999 Holy smokes! Ripping into 2 cases! Amazing! Though too bad the Bedard YGs had some corner issues. I was hoping UD had that figured out by now. Congrats on the HG YGs! Definitely a memorable hit... but... imagine if that was the Bedard!!! 🤑😱😜Thanks for sharing!😀👍
I pulled two Bedards out of a single blaster from Walmart… a green dazzler and a YG. My YG also has a fuzzy upper right corner. Still thinking of sending it to PSA.
@@Kbed32 Yeah, you never know. Could still gem. If not, a 9 would still be nice. I’ve seen some with that top right edge issue still get 9s. Congrats on the pulls!
@@hockeycardsincanada Yeah, a HG Bedard would have been insane! Speaking of which… surprised I haven’t seen one of those surface yet at this point… you’d think one of the 10 would show up somewhere by now. Either a lot of people are sitting on sealed product, or UD has them stashed until the next round of orders to keep demand rampant!
@@cardhound999 thanks man! yea after all the research I’ve done (your vid included) I’m leaning towards submitting. Worst case scenario (8 or lower) I’ll crack it lol I’m joking.
@user-oo2dh8wd3x Yup! Definitely no guarantees that he stays healthy for an entire career. Hope he does! The sport is best when there are moments like this! 😜😎👍
Congratulations on hitting the Bedard YG. I was 90 percent sure that you would hit him when you pulled the Lohrei YG. Lohrei seems to be with Bedard in everything I've seen. I've only seen 1 box that had Lohrei and no Bedard, but that box had a red outburst YG. Not the Bedard red outburst though. That one you showed up for auction on Slab Sharks I believe was the one Maritime Collectors pulled in Nova Scotia. Good luck with PSA. I know they are the number one for resale of graded cards but I just don't trust them. They just seem so inconsistent in their grades. Hopefully you get a 9 or better. Probably seeing as it's Bedard PSA give it a 10 even if they see that slight issue you noticed. No matter what it's still a great pull and something to remember for a long time. Like one collector said "This is a historic time for the hobby. And it's great fun to just partake in it." Congratulations again and have a great day!
@angushiltz4880 Thanks for the positive words and pointing out how the Lohrei seems to be with Bedard! I'll keep an eye out!😀👍I also agree with your thoughts on PSA. Until the human element is completely removed, we'll still see inconsistent grades. However, I do like that the resale value for slabs is best with PSA... and part of the fun is the entire process. So sending a Bedard YGs to PSA in March of 2024 is something I'll always remember (regardless of what it grades). So if it comes back a PSA 8, most of the value will be in the memories haha! 😜🤑❤👍
I was lucky enough to pull 2 Bedard YG out of 40 retail packs. Both have a small identical “dot” on the top edge. Not on the face of the card, on the actual edge. Has anyone seen this? Considering both have it, I’m wondering if this is common for his YG card. And, how will this impact PSA?!
@Dogwhistle3103 Interesting. I haven't looked to closely yet at the recent PSA 10s on eBay for sale, but I'm not aware of the dot on the top edge. Mine had the bottom corner on the front that is more of a printing colouration that looks like a dent (which seems quite common) and also the 2 blue dots on the front left edge (also quite common). Plus mine also had a legit tiny ding on the bottom left corner. Hard to say about your card though. I guess ship em in if they look pretty flawless other than the issue you mentioned? Or wait and see what 10s look like vs 9s and compare. Grading a McDavid or Matthews in year 2 or 3 would've still been awesome, so no harm in waiting.
Comment back if you can with a follow up on how it grades. I’ve got the same speck on mine I pulled in a hobby box and debating what to do with it. Congrats on your hit!@@samhall739
Just wondering since I have been over this with you on the "best offer accepted" and we both know that wasn't really the selling price, that you continue to say in your videos that is was the selling price when its clearly not if you look into it. Is it because it's just easier not to look into what the card truly sold for or is it just more exciting to say big numbers? I can't wait to see what you have say on the bedard red out burst that sold last night on slabsharks for $24,200(cad). Hint, if you look at the bidding activity it was shilled to high heaven.
@bobbydice8934 I'm taking a look at the Red Outburst a bit later, so thanks for the heads up! 😀👍💪 As for the Best Offer vs Actual Real Price: I try to do my best to show the true Sold Prices on videos that are specifically about Sold Prices. 👍But it really takes a lot of time to compare 130pt with eBay + gathering all the info + making sure the visuals will match up. So research and asset gathering takes time... this is before the editing even happens lol. 😬😱In a perfect world, it's always 100% correct and researched and presented well... but most of it comes down to time management. 😎 I always appreciate the comments and insight and challenging the conventional way of thinking, so keep the comments coming! 😀👍🏆🙏
@@hockeycardsincanada Yeah I wasn't trying to give you a hard time. I just wanted to know where you were coming from since we have had this discussion before. I would just like to see at least on some of the bigger cards like the red outburst bedard a mention of shilling because it's unethical and just plain bad for the hobby.
@bobbydice8934 Haha yup. Just trying to balance time spend on videos. But yes, the Outburst one is something I'll look into. Thanks again for the heads up! 😀👍
@Hockeistguyalive It seems like UD has improved on quality from a couple years ago... I thought the edges and corners looked pretty good for my Bedard YGs, but there's never a guarantee to get a MINT card out of a pack.☘
