As someone who grew up listening to a lot of older music, especially funk, it's good to see some artists are trying to keep one of the most beautiful and powerful genres of music alive by incorporating it in with their style of music. I just recently started listening to EDM, Dubstep, Techno, I wasn't expecting to find a song that's a nice blend of that and one of my all time favorite genres. I can't disagree with the lyrics, "Bring back the Funk!".

I must have played this song over 100x the weeks I kicked a 15yr dope habit. It was the ONLY thing to break through my crushing depression and remind me that "everything is fine. And I you can lose your mind."

Everyday it finds it way into my daily shop mix.
I hurt the people I loved and it broke me. I didn't know how to move on, I didn't know how to recover. This song didn't help me recover.
What it DID do is allow me a few minutes to let go of my struggle and just breathe. I will always hold this masterpiece in my heart because I would have probably attempted suicide (again) if it weren't for the positivity and genuine passion behind this beautiful creation.

I was also like this, coming from the family and household I was raised in. Would say something like I would maybe give it a try later in life, like in my 80s. But then at 22 I experienced my first trip with two of my cousins ( one who was experienced, which was important )
It really helped me open my outlook on life and enhanced my lifes experience going forward. Truly believe that it opened me up to being a more whole genuine person. Now I think, that I would have really regretted it if I had held off until my 80s
